Level 20,000' msl Clean. (Flaps up / gear up / cowl, oil & intercooler flaps closed / no external stores) 2700 rpm 61 inHg Blower High Auto rich I was able to get 242 knots IAS, (352 knots true) which is only 278.489 mph.

No issues here using the parking brake. (Or brakes afterwards)

Yes. This is not a long term fix but more of a setting that will allow pilots that are having a hard time figuring out how much rudder to use. This just dials the rudder control back until they feel comfortable enough to start turning it back up to normal travel.

Still having issues over controlling the rudder? Try this as a temporary fix. Dead Zone = 0 because you want direct control and not sudden input. Saturation X = 100 because you want to reach full rudder deflection at the end of your rudder pedal travel and not before. Saturation Y = 35. This will limit the total travel of the rudder. Note how much rudder travel is default in the first image vs the reduced rudder travel in the second image. Curvature = 30 which will soften the travel input near the rudder center. For takeoff don't use more than 45 inHg of manifold to reduce engine torque. With these settings you will need to use more constant right rudder for takeoff (like the real world Corsair) Try these settings a few times and see if it doesn't get you dialed in.

I've noticed the good pilots are enjoying the Corsair, flying with friends, making videos, completing the training and racking up mission hours shooting down other aircraft. Rookie pilots that enjoy auto start and use the throttle like an On/Off switch or push the flight stick around like they are in a dog fight for a simple takeoff/landing are the ones struggling... Post a track so we can see how you are treating her during a fight.

I made a detailed 22 page checklist per the Navy's F4U-1D flight manual. This helps me study all the different systems and have a good understanding of what and why I am doing it. It's also cool to see the module match the real world systems and procedures so closely. The early access manual does not yet have any emergency procedures in it yet so I did some research and added them to mine. Awesome work on the Corsair, Magnitude 3! Download the checklist here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345416/ Please report any discrepancy's. Thanks.

I am loving the Corsair. Thanks Magnitude 3. Is there a flight manual somewhere that someone can point me to? Thanks.

It's been like 7 or 8 years since its release but I still fly the Christen Eagle often and enjoy making skins for her. The team has done an awesome job with this model visually. Two areas I feel are lacking are the engine power and engine sounds. The aircraft feels underpowered. For an unlimited aerobatic aircraft, it's difficult to fly an advanced or unlimited flight sequences. The engine/prop sounds are lacking. They both feel very quiet and monotone and have been the biggest complaint of the community. Is there any plans at all to update these at some point or will the model remain where it's at? Thanks.

You were both right and I was able to resolve my issue with your help. It appears I did not have the whole DCS folder set as an exception. Only the DCS.bin file. Not sure what changed but I got it resolved. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for looking. Sorry, I thought I mentioned in the first post that I tried the repair but I guess I missed that. I have tried the repair multiple times but I first get a message stating the repair can't move a Christen Eagle .dll file. If I uninstall the Christen and try to repair again, it changes the error to the F-14. If I uninstall the F-14 the repair then says the same error for the AV8B, if I uninstall the AV8B I get the same error message for the F4... I then went to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods and deleted all the folders here and completed a repair. I can see all the folders get replaced and this allowed most of my modules to return to the main menu instead of nearly all modules being "unauthorized". However I am still seeing a few modules that are remaining "unauthorized" when logging in.

I am seeing the same error. Also showing this error for the F-14 and Christen Eagle.

Checked Anti-Virus and all seems to be normal. After disabling the Christen Eagle module I am getting the same error for the AV8B now... As for the full repair, I mentioned that in the first post that I have tried and am unable to as the full update cancels itself after telling me it cant find the Christen Eagle DLL files. autoupdate_log.txt

Hello, Trying to update this afternoon and I am getting an error related to the Christen Eagle. This is not allowing the update to proceed. If I ignore the update and just log into DCS, I am greeted with a notice that nearly all of my modules are disabled... I have also tried to disable the Christen Eagle in the module manager and have tried uninstalling the Christen Eagle module with no luck. Please help with any recommendations. Thank you. And you will never know if its 2% accurate, 73% accurate, 87.63% accurate or 100% accurate with your keyboard, mouse, eBay joystick and lack of real world experience.

DCS aircraft are the best out there. No one does aircraft modeling of systems and aerodynamics better in the video game world. ED will do another amazing job modeling the F-35. I look forward to the F-35 and all other aircraft eventually coming to our digital combat world.

1. In the Jester menu, when I first enter the CMS/RWR menu it says "Set Jammer XMIT". 2. Does this mean the Jammer is currently transmitting or is it actually on "STBY" until I click on "XMIT and it displays "STBY". (I'm not clear if the action shown in the menu is being performed or waiting to be commanded) 3. Does the Jammer currently work? Thank you for any clarification.

This makes me think about how awesome a professional flight model of the B-17 would be in DCS where we can walk or run to each gun position in flight and defend the ship with the boys.

20,000' is no problem here. I recently flew above Mount Elbrus up to 20k and landed at it's peak of 18,000'+ After shutdown, I was unable to restart successfully. I believe possibly due to it being too cold. (-26C)

As mentioned above, I did have the cross feed closed for the flight but opened it after I noticed the Aux fuel levels were not changing late into the flight and the main tanks were getting low. Also note the right main center fuel level is only 1 lb off from the left main center fuel tank. I took the screenshot of engine #1 failure right after reaching 0 lbs in the left main fuel tank. Engine #2 failed a few seconds afterwards when the right main center tank reached 0 lbs.

I did have the cross feed closed for the flight but opened it after I noticed the Aux fuel levels were not changing late into the flight and the main tanks were getting lower. I assumed since the Aux pumps were already on, they should be supplying fuel to the main tanks but this did not work.

It appears fuel is only being drawn from the main center tanks while the Aux tanks remain at the same fuel levels of ~780 lbs. and are not feeding the main tanks or engines. After the main center fuel tanks reach 0 lbs. the engines will fail a few seconds later and a loss of control will occur. Note engines are failing with approximately 3,100 lbs. of total fuel remaining onboard. I have verified this with the Aux fuel pumps On and cross feed switch open. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

It's a game changer once you realize the CH-47 has an autopilot available that will maintain altitude, speed and heading. ("Bob" in the controls setup) Now I was able to setup a night mission in cold IFR conditions and focus on route planning and cargo delivery. Awesome work ED!
