P-51D model does not...

I was doing my startup and accidently hit my gear handle while on the ground. My wings blew off and exploded and there was fire everywhere I looked while in the cockpit. I think this damage model is a bit exaggerated... :D

Can we get startup exhaust flames for the P-51? Like the Mi-8 has for the APU startup?

Will we ever see the P-51B or C version in DCS? I would think the existing DCS P-51D version could be used as a easy baseline for these versions.

The "track" file is used as a replay file within DCS. Another program like "FRAPS" would then be used to recorded the whole flight or just the parts you wanted to record. The recorded file would then be uploaded to YouTube. FRAPS could also be used real time while in the game. http://www.fraps.com/

Agreed! Even with weapons the real Warthog is aerobatic and quick responding. (obviously not as much as a clean version)

The sim version does feel underpowered to me as well...

P-51D vs Mig-21 Guns only, who wins? ;)

I am thinking something on the engine failed besides the temps, this caused the engine to shut down and without the engine running the external tanks did not show any fuel pressure... I will fly this mission again and check the external tank fuel pressure on the ground.

Can we PLEASE get a visual example when selecting the paint scheme??? I hate having to load a mission just to see the skin I choose, and then finding out it was the wrong one...

I did at least 5 landings (One at each runway) and none of them were hard. Part of the fun in flying this long duration flight was managing the engine temps throughout the flight. I was watching and managing the temps a never had it in the red. Max altitude was approx 5,000' for the flight. Never flew inverted.

Yes, the fuel pump was on. 100% guarantee. Yes, neither external tanks showed fuel pressure. When the wing tanks were selected the fuel pressure came back.

I am noticing if I leave the coolant and oil radiator's in the auto position while flying level with 46"mp and 2700 rpm that my temps still get into the red... I want to say the auto radiator settings are not keeping the temps down where I expect them. I would assume a good airspeed is also required to maintain good temps but I also would expect the radiator doors to open more as the temps get into the red. I have no problems when I have them set open in manual but I always see the temps climb while I am in the auto setting...
