This has been complete for awhile but I wanted to update this thread. The updated black cockpit is complete and now part of each of my Huey skins. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/add.php?CREATED_BY=Mike%20Busutil&set_filter=Y&PAGEN_1=4 I am currently building a new PC and when it's complete I plan to update the interior skins again to an even higher resolution.

I believe those are CBU explosion's...

You can't be the wing man in single player, you are always flight lead. If you want to be a wing man you will need to be in multiplayer and have a human player as the lead.

Awesome work Rick! I see the white is in the user files but not Have donut.

Either you are over speeding them and damaging them, which is preventing them from retracting or your landing gear fairing door emergency release handle is pulled out. (Red handle just above the hydraulic pressure gauge) Although this would also not allow your gear to retract. Also check your flap key bindings are still set properly. Updates have been known to mess these up sometimes.

Looks like another awesome module to add. Any plans to make improvements to the prop animation? The sudden stop and go of the prop looks unrealistic.

I use the default livery folders. I have never lost a skin or had to reinstall a skin after an update. I simply drop my new skin in the default livery folder for my specific aircraft and done.

For years I have been hearing rumors about a hidden base on the Caucasus map (Possibly other maps) and have seen a few hints or teases from Wags about it. I see it being discussed in FB groups and in the multiplayer chat. For those of us that like to explore the map, can we get a confirmation from ED on the validity of this? Is there actually a hidden base or is it just a rumor? If this is indeed a fact, could we get some details as to what it is without giving up the location? Is it a full base or simply a stick on a mountain top? If it's just a rumor, a confirmation of such would prevent some pilots from flying aimlessly all over the map looking for nothing.

That is an amazing tool and should come with every skin template for each section. Aligning is the worst part of skinning and this would save a ton of time.

I have noticed during long missions there is a fuel imbalance between my left and right tanks. I believe I got a "R fuel low" warning light on the caution panel that got my attention. This has happened multiple times to me and I am not sure if it's something I am doing or if its a bug. The image below shows 1800 L and 900 R. After noticing this I have verified the FEED switch is set to NORM and the cover is down and I have also verified the WING/EXT TRANS switch is set to AUTO. In order to correct this imbalance I switch the WING/EXT TRANS switch to "ORIDE", which corrects this issue after some time (pending I have fuel remaining in the drop tanks) The largest imbalance I have had so far has been 1100 in the left and 100 in the right. I would assume having the WING/EXT TRANS switch set to AUTO would keep the fuel balance even. Additionally I can confirm there was no air frame damage each time this has occurred. Thoughts on this? Thanks for any info.

If you are not a member of the development team than you don't need to know if there is a problem or not... If there is, the devs will work it out.

Dhesquire, The white covers (IR exhaust suppressors) are on the texture called "uh1_new_cover". You should be editing that file to the same color orange as the rest of the upper engine cover.

I can't download the skin template from the link on page 1. Is the link broken or is there an updated template somewhere else? Thanks for any info.

The pitot tube selector has two positions, (Standby / Main) The default position looks like this: I'm looking for a conformation, is the selector side of the switch at the top or the bottom? In these pictures which pitot is selected? The standby or the main?

^^ Also trim more. The approach glide slope was all over the place.

There are many variables here but first thing is make sure after start up you are properly idling the engine, use oil dilute as required to keep your oil pressure in the green, complete an engine warm up getting the engine up to at least 40c before moving the throttle too high. After takeoff set rpm to 2700 and manifold to 46" until you reach your desired cruise altitude. (As altitude increases you will need to add power to maintain 46") Trim for a constant airspeed during the climb, getting too slow will cause temperature issues. Always trim the rudder for any power or airspeed changes to maintain a "centered ball". Use auto for the radiator doors so they can open and close as needed. Throttle back to 2400 rpm and 36" manifold (max) for cruise after leveling off. The P-51 is very hands on and gives you very little time to relax and do nothing. Keep the engine settings within limits and maintain airspeed and you will be good to go. If you ever want to fly together online and work out your issues I would be happy to fly with you.

Says Science and facts. If you can't fly with turbulence, you can turn it off or play in arcade mode..

Forza, Check this thread as it has been reported. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=263368&highlight=kaspersky You can exclude DCS and the DCS updater from your antivirus and run a repair on DCS. That should get you going again.

Relax, you will be making crappy approaches and exploding into the back of the Super Carrier in no time...
-
Wake turbulence and prop wash exist and you do not need an engine to create wake turbulence, even gliders produce turbulence... If you killed the engine in your Spitfire, it will still cause wake turbulence just from simply moving through the air. Jets tend to generate more turbulence due to their larger size and faster speeds.

They could of been working on the SC for 2 hrs per day. Now that they "will be working overtime" they will be putting 4 hrs into it per day... Non of Kate's post says the devs will be chained to a chair and forced to be away from their family or work 20 hrs a day. Relax...
