I thought it was a nice little feature, before I actually had to flick switches on startup and couldn’t stop flicking the cable. I agree, it’s deeply annoying and needs to be made unclickable.

That's a shame, hopefully you'll reconsider. Just to mention, the system Heatblur used to create their online manual is called mdBook and is free and open source.

What I am missing is explanations beyond "X Button enables system Y". I have no idea what system Y is or when it is supposed to be used.
Yeah, it could definitely do with a glossary and procedural guides. The training is great, but it should be in the manual as well. Sorry to keep harping on about Heatblur, but their manual has great easy to follow procedural guides:

I highly doubt it. None of the other module makers have.

I also feel that a graphic designer should have designed the manual. This manual could have been half the size with two columns and with more readable typography (smaller type, increased leading). To be honest, I feel like a Heatblur style online manual would be better. Easy to update and navigate around to find the info you need. Isn't it open source as well? ASC could grab the site and make their own version.

Just remember: pitch for speed, power for altitude (Pitch+Power=Performance). If you need to slow down, raise the nose and reduce the power if needed. It might also be useful to check out a pilot training book:

There's load of great diagrams and explanations for the various stages of flight that will help.

Regardless of when they release it, we will not be supporting it until they relax their legal requirements. For us to implement it, we would have to sign a document that has legal jurisdiction in China, which we will not be doing.
Wow, that's nuts. They'll lose a lot of customers there – I'd thought about buying it, but glad I saw this. I'm not buying a peripheral only to be able to use it with a hack and no screen.

I guess so. I was looking at pics of older C130's that still had manual pitch levers.
Actually, just saw this in another thread that allows you to manually adjust the prop angle:

Sorry I didn't mean pitch and roll, I meant propeller pitch adjustments.
Isn’t that managed automatically by the FADEC system?

* There's an axis from 0-100, with no detent in between.
* There's a detent at 0.
* Below 0, there's no axis, but button signals are sent (e.g. for reverse thrust).I use the Turtle Beach Velocity One and it behaves the same. Agreed, It would be great if that button could be mapped to reverse thrust.
[EDIT] One just seen the thread on auto reverse in the options, so I’ll have to see how that works in practice

I feel stupid giving a real fighter pilot any advice, but I found using both throttles to get in position, then splitting them and just using one for the small power adjustments. I had the same issue with refuelling, but it feels amazing when it clicks.

I hope they update it to a better image. Considering the awesome images in the launch trailer, it's a bit crap. Especially the AI upscaling. It makes it look super mush. I don't know why they don't use something like this:

Or even this:

Hi ASC,
I just wondered if you had plans for an HB style online manual in our roadmap? I feel like this format has set the standard in terms of manuals. Easy to read, easy to update, lots of history and explanations etc.

Hey ED,
I know in the grand scheme of things this is pretty low down the totem pole, but (barring Heatblur's F-4) all of the wallpapers for maps and modules are incredibly boring shots and/or low quality. I feel like ED should be curating/approving these, as it would add a bit of excitement when you open up the game. I see so many incredible images in the forums and specifically on ED's promotional videos and official screenshots that it's a shame the wallpapers don't look more like these. Maybe the interface is being brought more in line with the launcher (possibly with videos!) and this is being looked at, but thought I'd mention.
P.S. It would also be cool if there were multiple wallpapers you could choose from in the menu, rather than just the one as well.

Have the Honeycomb Bravo as well - really enjoy the flexibility: Honeycomb Bravo
Oof, £560 with a Honeycomb yoke. I'd have to fly a lot of civil aviation to justify that price. I bought my turtle Beach setup for £200 on eBay.

I have Winwing gear for my DCS jets, but I’ll be using the Turtle Beach Velocity One for the C-130J.
https://uk.turtlebeach.com/products/velocity-one-flight
I bought it for X-Plane to complement IRL Cessna training (it’s the only unit on the market with vernier controls), so it’s nice to get some more usage out of it (arguably why I even considered purchasing the C-130). Four throttle levers and a host of buttons to map. Hopefully Turtle Beach/ED will add support and allow mapping of the warning lights.

Not sure if this has been covered, but I was just wondering if things like random engine/electrical failures etc will be modelled? Also, will there be a persistent plane option like the F-4? I've preordered and really looking forward to flying this (over Xmas hopefully
)!
Cheers!

Awesome. This means I'll be able to fly around Tre Cime Di Lavaredo in the Dolomites! (I've climbed the Dibona Arete on Tre Cime, such an epic place). Hopefully it's got a decent amount of detail there.

I had the same issue.

Just purchased for an early birthday present.
It'll be nice to get some use out of my Turtle Beach Yoke outside of X-Plane 12. Hopefully there'll be some good Afghanistan campaigns and missions for it coming out soon.

If you click the GitHub icon at the top of the manual, it mentions that they used mdBook for the docs:
