Thanks @jonsky7 Thats good to know. Perhaps you can assist a bit further. If i understand correctly, this is the master file and other aircraft like the UH-1 reference it? If thats the case, i would have thought i would see the same file somewhere in the CH47 folder? If a case of editing the file you've indicated, i think its this area that needs attention.. Any suggestions to get it to show on my screen? Even being able to see some it would be good.. local shift_X = -0.65 local shift_Y = -1 local size_X = -shift_X + 0.02 -----shift_X + 0.02 local size_Y = 0.35 -----0.35 local border_s = 0.01 local Y_space = size_Y/9.0 -----size_Y/6.0

Does anyone know which LUA file is assoicated with the AI panel for the gunners? This is in relation to a previous thread trying find why i cant see it on any of my screens.
-
I'm using Helios and export four of the MFD's and also another screen to display the RWR and Radar Alt. All of my screens are touchscreen... but so far i've not used the touch element. I read you had used a 24" touchscreen. Can the touchscreen part be used in conjunction with the MFD's ? Or is that a step to far at this stage?

I did try Quaggles a while back. But could not get it working with the Gazelle.. It was something to do with there being M and L Variants.. I guess i should revisit for the CH47 as thats what i mainly fly. One day i'll dig a bit more into the ai panel for the gunners.. but for now unless anyone else has ideas ill make do without them.

Thnaks for the explanation. I'll do as you suggest and backup both DCS folder and Saved games.. I was hesitant, as after the last update and then the update to the CH47, on both occasions it replaced the joystick and keyboard lua files.. which i had modifed to add the CDU & MFD buttons. At least with a back up its a case of drag & drop to get them back. Downloaded the updater. Did an update to the latest version then ran the cleaner. Fired up DCS and still no window for the gunners. It did what i expected and overwrote the joystick/keyboard files so i know the cleaner did something. No idea where to go from here.. If the cleaner did not work then i guess you're out of ideas too!

Thanks.. I'm hesitant to run a repair.. How much else will it affect ? Keybinds and other script files that i've tweeked over the past few months. Last thing i really want is to end up spending hours and hours getting other things back and working. I'd rather do without the door gunners. I did try loading up the UH-1 and LAlt+D opens/closes the Crew window bottom right of my screen. I wonder if there is a way to use that config with the CH47?

Yes to deselecting Helios in the Configuration sceen and selecting 1 monitor - which is why my DCS is spread across all screens i guess. I deleted LWin+H from showing the AI WIndow. Deleted a known working keybind (LAlt + D) and re-assigned that to AI Window.. still no show. Even tried binding it to a known working HOTAS button.. still nothing. If the AI overlay like the others shoudl show ontop of the exports... as you say its probably a different problem.. but i have no idea what. Can only assume at this point that a .lua file needs to be edited to move the AI window into a locatoin where its viewable

@MAXsenna So, started up DCS without Helios running so the MFD's were not exported to the other monitors. Still no sign of the Gunners AI window. As you can see in the screen shot, the Cargo and Controller indicator show on the various screens.. nothing when i have the side gunners loaded and try to open the window. I'm guessing its somewhere, but out of the screen res.. Any other ideas? null
-
Thanks I've never seen it on those screens. I normally run Helios so it could be under the exported MFD's which are normally there.. But if the AI window iworks in the same way as the Controller Indicator.. Then if i activate the controller indicator, that appears on top of the MFD's on screen 5. I'll try without Helios running and see if it appears.

I'll need to wait till i'm home. I've only got remote access at the moment and the other screens are powered off.. Soon as i'm home ill fire it up with all the screens powered on and ill post up a screenshot. Will be good to understand where it actually is and be able to use the code to move it.. even if it cant shrink, seeing it would help!!

I fired up my DCS pc today with all the monitors connected (i have 5 in total and configured using helios) with them on, and hitting LWin+H i could not see the AI Crew overlay. Controller and Cargo Indicators show.. at various places around the screens.. i would have thought the AI Crew window would have shown somewhere, even if not in an optimal position. I tried a config .lua that i use when i remote onto my DCS pc to reduce the resolution.. which does not know about the other monitors.. was a bit suprised that didn't reveal the AI Crew indicator window.. I had expected to see that bottom right of the screen. I'll need to do some digging around to see where it is. I have had then before with the Cargo Indicator not showing.. and found a few posts on this with the UH-1. I'll revist what i did before and see where i go from there. Just a shame that they are not that easy to manipulate without delving into the .lua files (when you find them!)

Bit of progress.. In default mission, the gunners now show in the aircraft. I can see them external and internal. Using LWin+H to bring up the control panel for the gunners does not seem to work! Tried remapping to a different key press.. nothing appears bottom left. I have a feeling its related to multimonitors and where it gets positoined. I'll dig around some more

Thanks, just a mission that i created and use for testing. I'll try on a proper mission.

Not sure what i'm doing wrong, but i cant get the door gunners to show. From refuel/rearm page, normally you click on select load out.. Mine just shows empty. Or L/R MG DCS is up to date. Any suggestions please?
-
No idea how long one might take to appear.. In the meantime, its pretty striaght forward to create hotkeys and multi function buttons. Ok, you have to set a keyboard bind manually in DCS first - I've manged to get pretty much everything i need working on the Streamdeck now. I fly on Rotorheads server, and having a single button press for the CSAR and CTLD commands is great.
-
Now i've figured out how it actually works and the mechanics behind the required export script needed to be recognized in Streamdeck.. i looked at an existing one for a different module.. beyond my knowledge/skill to create one for the CH-47 i'm afraid. Hopefully one will come along shortly.
-
Got it sorted. Power was off to the G1000's but USB still plugged in. Unplugged and they disappeared from DCS
-
Yeah, first thing was to check all my modules... I did find refs to the G1000 and changed.lua to .bak so they would not be registered
-
I've got some legacy controllers that appear in controls. I no longer use them.. They are all unplugged from my PC but still appear. How or where can i delete these please? Attached image shows two of the controllers which i want to remove so they are not listed anymore Thanks
-
HI All, Currenlty using hotkeys to make my Streamdeck work. The CH-47 is not recognized if i try to use the Streamdeck plugin. I think its missing the lua which needs to be in the ExportModules folder. Cant seem to find that on my computer.. Any thoughts?
-
Thanks, l've been slowly trawling through trying to get MOOSE CTLD to work..
-
I can get the CH47 working in SP missions with MIST & CTLD. What i cant seem to do is increase the amount of cargo to be carried. Default is one item.. for example Fob Crate Small. I'd like to be able to load 4 of these in one lift. Any suggestions where and how i can make changes in the .lua files to achieve this please?

Could the Cardinal Points - N, S, E & W. as well as the 10 increments be made lager.. alot larger!. Will allow for quick view to visualise direction travelling.
