  2. Hi, I am Tom, I am in Iowa. Started with the flight sims back in 98 with the Janes Fighters Anthology. How times have changed. Have both Blackshark and A10 now. Just recently bought the TM Warthog HOTAS and TrackIR when I seen A10 was released. I still have my first stick I got a while back, the TM F16 FLCS and remember I paid over 200 bucks for it, crazy. I also enjoy playing the ARMA 2 series and Need for Speed series. I agree with everyone here that ED and company and the forum are top notch excellant. Look forward to maybe fly with some of you.......someday. :joystick:
  3. A mix of humor with helpful. Not really a helpful link, but more of a humorous one. I came across this a few years ago and it is always good for a laugh, maybe some of you have seen it before. http://www.datadocktorn.nu/us_frag1.php And now a few helpful links http://portforward.com/ Check your open ports, a large list of what ports should be open for many games, they also sell software that will setup the ports for you if you cant. http://www.displayfusion.com Multple monitor software http://www.pcwintech.com/ Tools & Information for Geeks and Non-Geeks http://keepvid.com Most of us have used this probably. Save videos to view later such as those Blackshark and A10 training videos on you tube. http://www.effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter/ I use the satndard version, very good video conversion software http://www.effectmatrix.com/ They also have a lot of freebie software. http://www.archive.org/web/web.php I am sure some of you use to go to forums or some website that isnt around anymore. This website aka The WAYBACKMACHINE has websites archived back to 1996. From the website, "Browse through over 150 billion web pages archived from 1996 to a few months ago". So they do have a lot archived. http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ As the name says. A new piece of software everyday is given away, some good, some bad. http://www.rjlpranks.com More fun stuff. I use to use some of these on friends and relatives And 2 of my favorite places to buy software and hardware and I am sure they like me. http://www.newegg.com/ and http://www.tigerdirect.com/ http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ This is a great piece of software for making , if you want, HUGE pictures, banners whatever you want. But the downside is it prints the image out on single pieces of paper which then have to be taped together. Need to check out the gallery to get an idea of just how big you can go or what you can do. I can see some of the pictures taken in A10 ending up on walls as big wallpaper with this. :pilotfly: Forgive me if there are a couple links in here that shouldnt be, I kind of got carried away. :music_whistling:
  4. GAU reverse Not really a detail. I havnt had a chance to do much with this yet but I got the A10 started and was just sitting on the runway. Checkin out the gauges and dials and buttons and when I finally looked up I was going off into the grass. Ended up getting stuck on a runway light, couldnt turn or go forward. Armed the cannon and fired a few rounds and the front rises a bit. Fired a few more and next thing I know I am going backwards. :joystick:
