  1. Mike_CK, I noticed similar behavior in WWII aircrafts flown by AI in multiplayer. I am guessing and hoping though that it is work in progress.
  2. eetutuhoo, I had the same problem with missions crashing on load but as Flappie said check the Log of a pertaining mission that crashed and then use this guide to troubleshoot it: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/331896-crash-troubleshooting-guide/#comment-5272979 I found my solution by following "C. DCS crashes to desktop (all other cases)"
  3. Thank you, Dangerzone. I appreciate the reply. Food for thought, though :)
  4. DCS looks amazing in 4k and therefore I would like to keep external views enabled. However, I would like a message to go up for everybody when a player switches to external views and when back in cockpit. Is this an even that can be handled through triggers or lua scripts? Any feedback will be very appreciated
  5. I was making sure that the issue was reproducible and what you suggest would have been my next move. Then, I saw your post on running the repair in "Slow" method. I have only done in the "fast" method before. After I did run the repair with the slow method, the problem disappeared. I have been trying to recreate it but, and thankfully, I cannot For now, I will have to assume that it got fixed by running the repair like that, although there was no mention in the buffer that any corrupt files were spotted. Thank you for your help! PS: I might be wrong on the spotting of corrupt files. There was one file in a FW190A folder (id_6_N.dds) that was replaced. Anyway, Everything is still properly functioning.
  6. I have a similar crash after the latest update. I am narrowing it down. It happens when trying to exit a mission, single or multiplayer and a FW190-A has to be selected and occupied at some point. If a Bf109 or/and FW190-D is occupied there has not been a crash yet. I will keep on trying to narrow down but the "FW190-A" parameter seem to be consistent. PS. Stable ver. 2.7.16.28157, win 10 pro, Intel i9-11900K, Asus RTX 3090 Once problem occurred, Nvidia drivers updated and a Repair was performed, just in case. No change
  7. Yes, as Devrim mentioned, default key is LCTRL+LSHIFT+Y. The name of key is "Chat Show/hide" and it under "UI Layer" category.
  8. I have been wondering about that myself.
  9. IMPORTANT AMMENDMENT FOR SINGLE PLAYER FLYING: I have just found out that my custom labels.lua files do not work well with the missions that come with DCS. That includes (Single player missions, Campaigns and Training missions). Trying to access any of those missions leads to a lock up. If you don't have this problem, disregard this post. If you do, then replace the following file with the one attached. (After renaming it to labels.lua, of course) Replace the labels.lua file in: C:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View. This file is compatible with DCS missions and can be customized, however it includes the traditional labels settings as well. If you need any assistance in customizing it, let me know. The code is already embedded but is commented out. The previous files work fine, if they are embedded in the anymission.miz file. So, no issue on Multiplayer Server missions or Custom missions played anywhere Apologies if I have caused any frustrating moments. Labels_ForSinglePlay.lua
  10. Thank you Cyking. I am guessing some of the US WWII anti aircraft weaponry can be used too.
  11. I am setting up a Korean War Mission and I am wondering what Anti-aircraft Artillery would be most appropriate from our DCS collection? Any ideas would be most helpful
  12. I would like to set up a dedicated Server with external views ON but with the F10 Map ONLY option. So far the only way to have all external views ON is by setting the "F10 view options" under Customize-->Mission Options to "ALL" So, in other words I would like to cycle through all available assets in the mission in external views (using F2, F5, F6 e.t.c) but I do not want to see any of them in the Map. I wonder if it is possible.
  13. Alpenwolf, thanks for your reply but when I pick the option "MAP ONLY" then the external views are limited to your plane only. I will post the question to Editor forum as you suggested, though.

  15. I do :). Up to ver 2.5 it could go clockwise or counterclockwise indefinitely
  16. So, if you want to open the radiator just a little and keep it there, you need to go from Auf to Abgeschalter as fast as possible?
  17. Instructions on how to install a custom label.lua file Single Player Flying: (Amended due to incompatibility discovered-Use file: Labels_forSinglePlay.lua ) Copy the file named Labels_forSinglePlay.lua from the post below. Rename it to labels.lua. Go to X:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View. If there is a labels.lua file there, back it up. Copy the new labels.lua file in the above folder Start DCS-->Options-->Gameplay-->set "labels" to FULL Play any mission and LShf+F10 to cycle through the different Settings: Full labels, Partial Labels, Dot Large, Dot Small, No Dot It is possible a mission played in Single Player environment to have a labels.lua file already inside. In that case, that file will override the new custom file you just placed in the Saved Games Folder. Multiplayer Flying: (Use file: Labels.lua or Labels-NoShadows.lua) As a user you don't have to do anything. As a Mission Designer/Server owner you need to do the following: Open the mission you want to host in the Mission Editor and go "Customize"-->"Mission Options"-->Check the labels box and set it to "FULL" Save the mission and exit. Right click on the YourMission.miz and Open it using any zip application. Navigate to config\View folder and open it. If it does not exist, create them and keep the file open to that folder. Left mouse click on the new labels.lua file, click on the .miz file if it got minimized and drag the labels.lua file in the "View" subfolder. Overwrite if asked. For good measure, open the labels.lua file now inside the mission package and confirm its existence Close the .miz file and place it on the Server What setting you select in DCS-->Options-->Gameplay-->set "labels" to ..., this will be the "Dot" size you will first see when you are inside the mission. Use LShift+F10 to cycle through the other options.
  18. DCS ver 2.7x, the radiator switch does not move from Open to Manual. Clockwise or counterclockwise. It used to in previous versions.
  19. Here is a fine tuned version with no shadows or Blur. Best for resolutions smaller than 1920x1080, while still good for up to 4k. Rename to labels.lua before using. Labels-NoShadows.lua
  20. DmitriKozlowsky, I don't have enough information from your post to respond helpfully but I have moved the progression of this idea to a more appropriate area:
  21. I have created a labels. Lua that has a potential to keep all different resolution users fairly happy. Obviously, the real credit goes to the DCS team for adding the "Dot Neutral" script. I have modified a labels. Lua file to allow the user to cycle through 4 settings of DOTs to allow VR and Monitor users to enjoy a similar "realistic" view of Aircrafts, Ground and Naval assets when they are past their assigned LOD. The main issue I have encountered in the past was that when the DOT size was decent enough in my VR Rift S resolution, it was very difficult to see on a 4K resolution. When I would increase the size to be viewable on a 4K, it would look very blocky on a VR setting. Now, users can use Lshf+F10 to cycle through the best dot view for them while flying in the same mission. So far the only negative outcomes are: -No other label settings exist except DOTs -On the Server Multiplay listing, the mission is reported using FULL labels, which could be confusing to some. The label.lua file is very customizable and I used the resolutions available to me to gauge the outcome and I have only tested it on WWII era setups, so feedback is welcome. If you need any further information on how to use the file, please let me know. The file below is different than the one posted on the General Forum. This one is ONLY Dots, the other one is a modification of the Standard DCS one that allows all originally designed functions. Labels.lua
  22. The "Dot Neutral", scripted into the Labels.lua file and activated through your Options menu as with the other Label options, sets a Neutral color symbol for all Aircrafts, Ground, Naval and Aerial weaponry which seems to scale with the users resolution (I have to assume that it is a little more complicated than the word I use). As with the other options, the Dot Neutral is customizable. A few things to remember: --Customize a copy of the labels.lua after you copy it from the main C:\...\DCS World\Config\View\ to :C:\Users\YourName\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View --If you are making a mission you need to enable the option under "Customize"-->"Mission Options" in the Mission Editor's top bar --If you also need to run this mission on a Dedicated server, you need to drag a copy of "labels.lua" file into the .miz file, in the appropriate folder \config\view. If those subfolders do not exist, you need to create them first. If you need any further info on how to do that, let me know. I have tried to create the same effect with the existing "DOT" system but I could not make it look decent for all resolutions. I fly in VR with a rift S and my wingman is on a Ultra wide Screen. If I made the dot to look nice and more realistic for my view, my wingman could not see it. If I increased the size for his viewing, it looked terribly blocky in mine. However now, the new addition seems to look nice and "realistic" to both our systems with the same settings. I am attaching my customized labels.lua file to get a better idea. As always, I welcome feedback Labels.lua
