  1. I’m glad you’re doing great. I think the Mavs are a WIP at best and unplayable at worst. I’m going to try the keyboard commands for slewing as my TDC joystick is uncontrollable. Rarely getting a lock even when right over the target. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ended up purchasing the Dell "Flagship" gaming monitor (144 Hz) and the RX 2070. 1044 wasn't terrible with the old 1060 but was averaging about 45 FPS and so I upgraded. Can't say I'm "always" above 60 fps but I'm averaging about 80FPS with a high of 150. Love the higher resolution and the heft of this monitor. Very solid.
  3. Thanks all. The monitor was the initial purchase but I soon realized that my 1060 my not be up for it. I think I will get a monitor first and see if I can live with the display settings compromises. Something tells me a new graphics card will be in the works, perhaps after Christmas. Snake-iis: I believe you are referring to the ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR 27” 1440p 1ms 165Hz DP HDMI G-SYNC Gaming Monitor with Eye Care. I'm in a 24 inch monitor now and sit about 3 ft from the screen. I have a huge desk and I'm wondering about a larger screen? Thanks in advance
  4. Always get the "itch" to upgrade my system every few years. Playing DCS almost exclusively the last 6 months. I currently have i5 4760K so there's no easy upgrade path without changing out the whole motherboard. I have 24G RAM. Video card is a GTX 1060 6GB and it runs everything on my current 24" 1080p monitor quite nicely. Thinking about a 27in 1440 monitor, and I realize that there will be a negative effect on gameplay with my current card. Cheapest option would be a 1070ti on sale for under $400 at New Egg. Questions: 1. Most of the monitors I'm looking at advertise a 144Hz refresh rate. What is the utility of a 144Hz monitor if your card can only put out 80 FPS? 2. The combination will cost me about $750. Is the 1080 to 1440 upgrade worth it? What do you think?
  5. Thanks for the info. I can attest that CCIP is much more accurate if you set the HT to 1500!
  6. +1. Just commented on this in another thread.
  7. Not sure that I am doing anything different from this video, except keeping the dive at 20 degrees instead of 30. Wonder if there was any wind? ;)
  8. Good to know. I have seen on previous threads about the VT function being a WIP but wasn't sure if that was ever implemented. I'll check out Wag's video... However, I will say the cluster bombs do look like they dispersing and exploding, but they are just off target and/or not killing the lightly armored vehicles like they are supposed to. Can anyone confirm that CCIP does not account for wind at this point?
  9. I seem to be much more accurate with the MK82 then the CBU-99's. I've been running through the F-18 mini campaign and having a hell of a time with the CAS mission. Either missing the BMP's altogether or not destroying them when the CBU's are dropped right on top. Only successful one time after numerous attempts. I have noticed that this mission has significant winds aloft and the HUD is substantially pushed to the side when uncaged. If the CCIP is not taking into effect the wind, that can certainly be an issue. I'll try to run this mission in calm winds and see what happens. On the other hand, I am 3 for 3 using WP3 as the target in Auto mode in the interdiction mission. Auto seems to be working better in this specific mission.
  10. Started up DCS after a few weeks absence and noted strange behavior with radar lock and HUD cues. Looked at the bug list and the same issue is listed as "fixed internally". I assume that means I will have to wait until they push out the next update or I need to install and fly the stable version? I am flying beta 2.5.3.21444. Any way to roll back the latest update?
  11. Is the manual being updated when new systems are added, on are we on our own to find answers in the forums? Not complaining, just wondering how this is going to unfold...
  12. Deja vu all over again... Had the same issue when using the M2000 during beta. It was really bad because there were alternating alpha and beta version fixes and key binds would change each week!
  13. This would be nice. I assume you can use the programming software to map this mini stick as buttons instead of slew but I’ve never done it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I enjoy navigating in poor weather almost as much as I like killing things, and I am able to use the ILS system without any difficulty. However, in 2.01 if I dial in a VOR frequency I don't see anything happening. Needle 2 (thin one) does not align to the VOR Also, shouldn't you be able to dial in a course radial to fly? I notice that dialing in the course know just changes the green chevron on the HSI and changes the carat on the HUD, but I don't this there is any interaction with this and the selcted VOR. Are there any course deviation indicators? Not sure if this is a WIP or I am doing something wrong.
