I hope that the topic will be refined well from the very beginning and as it should be.
The CH-47 without new cargo options is like a toothless bull terrier, which is what the helicopter is intended for.
Unfortunately, I still don't see anything new when it comes to cargo. We already have this in DCS and it is not new: (come on guys!)
Im still wiating for news about it:
This is new only (if he can leave the copter):

This is good example.

I still hope that it will happen and we not will not get a neutered CH-47.
Btw. the model should also have a parachute drop of cargo, just like with the C-130.

Next feature, I really hope it will be as well. CH-47 can do this. This is an example of quite large immersions, but it is also a practice to open the ramp just above the water and pull the pontoon in and out with a winch.

I did download Quad Views and saw it working, but only as fixed at the moment.
You need to turn it on in Oculus App on PC and Mobile (dev. mod): https://github.com/mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated/wiki/Meta-Quest-Pro .

I prefer using virtual desktop.
Personally I dont use virtual desktop, just Link Cable + settings in OTT. I don't see any advantages of VD for the "sitting" simulator here. I only use the controllers to switch between the Oculus and Link Cable Desktop menus. I don't use them in the simulator too (just mouse).

Be careful with this as Quad Views clogs the DCS over time. This quickly appears over urban areas and is a confirmed problem by mbucchia. I tested it quite thoroughly, but I don't use it now. It causes more FPS problems than benefits.
Generally, I think that QPro are great goggles and with the appropriate settings they fulfill their role perfectly for the current time and current GPU capabilities. For me, after modifications, they are also more comfortable than Q3 or G2.

Bought already.
Btw. It was surprice for me that its aversion with glass cockpit, however its an good difference for known by me CH-47 models came from FSX,P3D or MSFS with classic gauges. However (again) it will be a bit of a misunderstanding if a map of Vietnam comes out (birds song) and we fly here on this Chinook version.
Maybe classic version gauges DLC like update BS2>BS3 too pretty please? +1

Thanks, have some of their MSFS offerings over the years, was wondering about this DCS debut.
The only problem may be that what works in MSFS will not work in DCS, combat simulator. That's why I write so much about performance. In MSFS they can do a lot of eye candies but there, even if someone has 40 FPS it is quite ok and no more is needed in static, civil flight. In DCS, where there is air combat and dynamic flying, the look of the ground is important but it cannot affect performance because it will ruin the immersion totally. So yes, Im very curious about his debut and I hope that it will not be as detailed as the ORBX add-ons for FSX/P3D or MSFS (like a cats, dogs even), but at the same time scenery will look nice and will have great performance in 2D and VR. DCS its not MSFS and here you have to take other approaches even its known and great ORBX :).

Changing a power plan for unparked cores (all at 100%, p and e cores) fully resolved this issue for me. From the last December it never come back to me.

On one hand they have no experience with DCS, but on the other hand they've been making terrain for a long time and in great quantity.
I'm feeling positive about it.
Yes Im his customers and fan from years and good member (his old Forum). I know his quality, but also I have had bad experiences with SA maps of Razbam (and still Im waiting for patches). Although there seemed to be only 2-3 people there, and ORBX has quite a large team.

What state/condition will the map be in when released? Will the majority of the areas be built on release, in need of refining/completing or will it be like the announced Afghanistan map, and in different phases?
According of ORBX, more to come next few days so perhaps we will have more info.

I'm hyped.
Bring it!
Right, I hope only that they dont bring the same issues which are present in South Atlantic map by Razbam (named: performance & optimalization).
Also +1 for trail period from beginning. This is ORBX's debut here, Id like to know the performance (especially in VR) before buying.

Unfortunately, I'm disappointed, there is no video of the DCS map. The logo and animation took more time. What is this for? We know there will be a map.

I didn't expect such a large proportion of under 30s - figured they were all playing Warthunder.
