  1. Magnitude 3: New screenshot of F4U clipped wingtips version with Tiny Tim A2G rockets.
  2. Check this trick, page before (my post). Do you have unparked cores? Windows 11 or 10?
  3. Of course, it is difficult to assess in this case what the individual problem is. The solution is to the fact that after starting DCS and at the beginning of the mission, you can feel a distinct stutter, which is caused by something constantly loading. This is related to activating and loading subsequent modules, even if you do not use them. After a few minutes, i.e. 1-4 minutes (depends on hardware and kind of the disk), it goes away and this is the topic of this thread. When making a save or exiting, when DCS saves some data, it happens again, which is why it all takes so long. This is currently without this "fix". However, if you still have stutter, during the whole mission and flight, it may also be unfortunately some other issue, unrelated to this loading problem.
  4. Also try just DLAA (AntiAliasing section), without any upscaling, i.e. without DLSS, e.g. DLAA creates some artifacts but overall the image is the best in terms of smoothing the lines.
  5. Personally, I have disabled antivirus monitoring of the DCS folder and his exe files long time ago, so the problem still persists despite this. The problem is related to the fact that currently DCS unnecessarily loads everything it has (all activated by user modules/maps) which causes long loading, long saving and stuttering during the game as well as long DCS exit, this was changed four patches ago. I dont know about the idea and reason of this changes. We have a solution - given in this thread, but I wonder why it was changed since it causes a drop in performance.
  6. Btw. We are waiting for a fix from ED, but this trick helps to bypass the exit problem as well:
  7. Unfortunately, this is normal for DCS and you have to accept it. The solution is always to increase the resolution of the goggles to the maximum threshold when you start having problems with performance on your hardware. Also try the DLSS and DLAA settings. This is quite convenient but unfortunately the image starts to be slightly blurred and ghosting may appear. I personally fly with a resolution of about 3300 pxt per eye plus MSAA x2.
  8. Not currently "all" commands in the main_autoexec.cfg file. I suspect that "all" applies to all modules, while "signed" applies to separate paid ones. I use "signed" and it works without any problems. All problems are gone and I don't see any side effects.
  9. It was before, screen from the cockpit of the display.
  10. Yes, this is good workaround. This is the first thing worth checking instead of drivers, memory, mods and God knows what else ;). However now it is: bkg_load_signed_plugins = true, we havent here "all". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since I don't want to interfere with the original files, I personally recommend adding this entry to: C:\Users\xvy\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config go to autoexec.cfg (or create it), add this new line: bkg_load_signed_plugins = false DCS is back to normal (no stutters at the beginning, fast saving, even the exit is immediate ect). Btw. You can use my file as well: autoexec.cfg
  11. It doesn't work like that. There used to be specific dates, meaning before the EA release there was always "hurry up, planned release date in 2 days" but that's been abandoned. Now we have "2Q" and a surprise but there's no warning that there will be the release with exact date and notice other than "soon".
  12. I agree that it would be nice to have the whole map (+1 wit Iraq background 3D quality). We are currently celebrating the anniversary of the release of this map and according to the original plan it should have been complete long ago, the delay is now over half a year but it should be noted that the next update (part 2) introduced better quality of this map (not like Irak at release but looks better). Part 2 appeared in February, following this path (8 months instead of 3) part 3 should appear in ... October, although apparently it was rebuilding also because the characteristics of part 1 were changed. The whole map may therefore appear in the July - October interval. A fairly large window.
  13. Hi, it was officially mentioned - later this year so not too soon. I think Q4. There was a little information about a month ago (from Wags).
  14. I had the same experience today. What is it about?
  15. Better trees (for Caucasus) work perfect still. Im using it for better FPS in VR.
  16. Forced manual DCS exit is not good and I don't use it. Better to wait, but it is true that it is a bit annoying now.
  17. It will be possible Im sure as with the current version of Marianas. It works as separate module. Even on Steam you can install it or remove.
  18. The only solution can be a fix from ED. Otherwise it's a placebo. The problem is that currently DCS loads all modules, not just the one you're using as it was before 4 patches earlier. So how on earth would changing v-sync (which by the way doesn't affect VR) prevent any stuttering? The current problem that appears is also sometimes there and sometimes not. So you should test your solution for at least a few days to see if it reappears or not. Of course, there may be some individual cases that are related to your own hardware configuration and software settings. Someone may have an eco power management mode or a CPU that is parking. These things may possibly affect performance as well.
  19. When you wait and all you have left is the hype.
  20. "A Grumman F6F of VMF(N)-534 at Orate, Guam, August 1944. VMF(N)-534 was amongst the first units to land on Guam after its capture on the 21st of June 1944 although by this time the chances of encountering the Japanese in aerial combat was low. One combat success that did occur took place on the 10th of February 1945 when a Nakajima C6N 'Myrt', bound from Truk to Iwo Jima with a high ranking officer on board, was shot down. Aircraft of VMF(N)-534 operated in three separate sectors of operations up to the end of the war; they maintained air superiority over Guam, the Gilbert and Marshall Islands, and flew air patrols over Saipan." Of course. You can argue but it is not impossible. F6Fs not only operated from aircraft carriers and here you have an example from Guam. Of course the weak point of DCS WWII and the Pacific theater is the number of planes, but so far. After all, quite a lot of support for this theater of operations has been announced: F6F Hellcat, SBD-5 Dauntless, SB2C Helldiver, TBF Avenger, PBY Catalina, A6M5 Zero, D3A Val, Nakajima B6N Jill, B5N Kate, D4Y Judy
  21. 2 weeks . No any update is planned. Maybe one day we will see the whole new Caucaus map but not soon.
  22. Looks awsome! Take my money…. ahhh no , it will be for feee! +1 for some news about Hellcat too.
  23. Reflected Simulations: "Here's a teaser of my upcoming Wolfpack 2: Overlord DCS P-47 Campaign. This is the first intro cutscene, set on June 5 1944. The campaign consists of 12 historical missions as well as many other cutscenes."
  24. This could mean in a moment, 2 weeks (tm) or even in a few month ;). That was the plan - 2Q and let's stick to it.
