  1. As for the aspect of changes in this topic, nothing happened, but the last hot fix fixed a rather annoying problem - high load on one of the cores and a temperature jump when running DCS like some kind of stress test. That was the main point and here the ED team fixed this problem :).
  2. I understand. I know that interfering with the fuselage would also entail necessary changes in textures and also in the cockpit itself, and that's quite a lot of work. In any case, thanks for the willingness to change the front gear leg. As for the Sniper model - let's consider this project abandoned and we will 99.99% not see this model at all. Sniper is currently working on a paid Tornado project, so there's no chance of that.
  3. Problem is for entry (first 1-2 minutes of mission), saving mission in the Mission Editor and exit DCS.

    Mig-23

    But not 2 weeks ;).
  5. As for proportions, it is visible here. The canopy seems too big for the rest and it is not perspective because it is visible in other screenshots. One of the worst editions of Su-22 paper models is the "Mały Modelarz" model from 1990 and 2003. It had very bad proportions in this place. Of course, your model is not as bad, but somehow it reminded me of that - http://www.kartonowki.pl/modele-galeria/model/3559,su-22-fitter-mm-2003. Very well, it was done in the Sniper's model (below) and there the proportions are correct. Sometimes the scan and transfer to 3D by machine can cause some disproportions, which are worth assessing by eye anyway. Real one: I think it's worth improving it because these aspects are quite visible, although I'm also a purist, so maybe not everyone will be bothered by it ;).
  6. Before release, please improve the front landing gear model. It sits way too low here. The Su-22M4 on the ground has a rather characteristic silhouette, and the model unfortunately differs from the one we have in reality in this respect. Even under a heavy load, it should not sit as low as on the screenies. Btw. There is also a certain disturbance in the geometry of the canopy. How to call it - there is a bit too much glass and too little fuselage in this place. It is not a big problem and currently I can only base myself on these screenshots, but the fairing itself is too big in this place. At least that's how it looks. It would be nice to do it if possible.
  7. There was a new patch on Friday and today as well. I noticed that on the main screen it is not communicated to the user, despite the fact that as you can see on the left the folder has a red dot. Not everyone knows that this means an update. The inscription on the main screen about the update has simply disappeared:
  8. Correct, with this subject no changes. I hope that they work on the fix.
  9. Stutter at the beginning (loading during the mission) after the last patch is present still but as it was in the changelog, this issue wasnt solved and touched.
  10. Good to know. Im using OTT for this. Btw. Is entry inside the reg file for FOV too?
  11. Indeed, the patch fixed what was a problem since 2 patches - high CPU temperatures and load. Other reported problems still exist, but that's true, it's a hotfix, not a full patch. Thanks ED!
  12. I confirm, today's hot fix restored proper CPU performance in terms of load, and thus temperatures returned to normal. Thank you, and it's great that the response was so quick! Unfortunately, this strange loading of something at the beginning of each mission still occurs (which manifests itself as a slight stutter for about 1-2 minutes what it was metioned by many in the performance corner). It's also a litte pitty that the radar screen hasn't been fixed for F-16 so we're waiting for the next patch :). Thanks!
  13. Of course this problem can be bypassed and it doesn't prevent you from making high quality textures but it's a matter of convenience but also skill. I also assume that they won't announce any new competitions for new modules that are encrypted in this way because some people who do skins will automatically be eliminated.
  14. For me too, but it can be a bit annoying. I fly in VR and I don't really want to turn off the headset when DCS is still on the screen. I can live with it as well, but I think it's worth solving it along with the problem with loading missions. I think these things are related.
  15. Ad.1 the same (so very good for me) Ad.2 like always, after the patch. of course I'm writing about myself
  16. This topic is discussed in many threads, but it's hard to say whether it has been noticed properly. Currently, from 2-3 patches, the situation related to closing DCS does not look too good. After clicking "Quit to desktop", it takes quite a long time, sometimes even over a minute or more. It has never been like this, and the exit was immediate. Interestingly, my friend has the same problem. Sometimes I just force minimize DCS and start doing other things, and DCS is still grinding away in the background.
  17. Even better than my stress tests - Prime95 and CinebenchR23 ;).
  18. I confirm. Something has been broken in core management in general. Generally, currently, DCS operation causes a much higher load on the CPU, it was not so much that some cores worked on such a high load. In addition, the temperatures are actually like in stress test software. Now I noticed that the temperature even reaches 96 degrees Celsius on the core. However, the standard for DCS was 65-80 degrees for me, and now we have too large numbers.
  19. I haven't tried Fix yet, but in general I see that the problem still occurs after the last update. Anyway, it was finally accepted and apparently a solution is on the way:
  20. Hi, after Todays patch (DCS 2.9.16.10523) always when I back from A2G or A2A mode to the Nav mode the aimuth shows not the last setting but narrow azimuth - A1. Before the Today's patch was ok - the last setting of user.
  21. I see that a topic in which I once gathered quite a lot of sound has returned. Here I have to defend @Raz_Specter who has made a lot of changes to the map, including optimization, during this time. For me, this map works really well now, even below 1500ft, which used to be a barrier. The map currently works no worse for me than the Kola map in terms of performance and I have good impressions of it. Gentlemen, I would like to draw your attention to another thing that appeared in DCS about 3 patches ago, DCS currently slows down and loads something after starting the game. There are quite a few posts on this topic. This applies to every map, but sometimes this symptom appears, sometimes not. So the question is whether it is not the map that is ok, and this stutter affects the entire DCS, and not just this map, which currently works well for me. Something has been changed in the CPU management and during the game there are some kind of read-ins, which results in systematic stutter for 0.01 seconds. It stops completely after 1-4 minutes. So if you are launching this map and testing, do not look at the very beginning, because that may be it. Wait at least 4 minutes and then check the performance of this map. This effect occurs 50/50. I have no diagnosis, sometimes it is there, sometimes it is not and everything is fine from the beginning. This should also be taken into account and it is best to draw conclusions after a few days of fun, not after one flight btw.
  22. I don't know if he's registered on the Forum, but he's been flying in DCS for a long time (what is important, he currently works at the military aviation school as a lecturer, so he is still in the subject), so in this situation he's not someone who just sat down and got shocked btw. I agree with that, I've had pilots who couldn't handle simulators at all, because they had a different perspective and didn't feel the g-forces and movement for obvious reasons. I'll ask if he'd like to join the test team. Thanks.
  23. We need Model Viewer 3 :).
