  1. I downloaded the A10C V1.1.1.1, all is well, it's separate from DCS world, is it possible to have it on DCS world launch alongside my P51 etc ? Thanks
  2. Hi which folder do I place a mission file multiplayer (miz) in please? Hads a good look in all the folders cant see any miz files :( Thanks
  3. Go through the training tutorials Rodd, they really help. The P51 will fly easy but you have to check trims and speed etc. Taking off took me a few times to perfect, I dont use take off assistance now. Hold the breaks, 5" rudder starboard trim, nose trim down a little, apply power till 30 presssure, release breaks, pull stick back a little to keep tail wheel on the deck, if the tail wheel rises at this point you will leave the runway :helpsmilie: Around 50 mph increase throttle smoothly to around 60 pressure, centralise the stick, a couple of small rudder inputs, @ V2 100kts IAS rotate, pull back the stick gently and you are away:-) Most sims are too easy and dont represent how an aircraft should handle. Real planes only need small gentle inputs and constant monitoring of instuments :smilewink: Its all about energy management, I guess you know this as a real pilot already
  4. Surely XP is the most stable and common OS there is?
  5. I tend to agree, although my rig runs every piece of software I throw at it ok. I think the engine may have older features though (LOMAC legacy features) rather than newer ones
  6. Many thanks, hopefully the data posted here on this thread will help in conjunction with ........... Minimal system requirements: OS: Windows XP, Vista; CPU: 2 GHz; RAM: 1 GB; Graphics: 256 MB ATI or nVidia, DirectX 9 compatible; Sound card; 4 GB of free space on HDD; Copy protected, requires internet activation. and Recommended system requirements: (medium end PC rig) OS: Windows Vista for launching in fullscreen mode; CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850+, AMD Phenom 9850+; RAM: 2+ GB; Graphics: 512+ MB ATI HD 2900+ or nVidia 8800+; Sound card; 4+ GB of free space on HDD; Copy protected, requires internet activation; Joystick.
  7. In my case, screen freeze and the need for hard reboot. What is your rig set up? thanks
  8. Can your PC run BS with no related issues? see poll above Can we have a list of PC rigs which can actually play BS with no PC related isuues? There seems to be a lot of problems even on top end rigs. Please note I am just curious and want to get the best out of this fantastic sim. My setup is as follows DCS BS English DVD XP PRO 32 sp3 dx 9c 250 GIG RAPTOR ATI 4870 INTEL 8500 3 GIG CORE 2 DUO 700 WATT PSU 4 GIG CORSAIR 1066 (3.33 GIG for xp 32) P5Q DELUXE mobo Nothing is overclocked and all is running at low temps. Freeze occurs usually after 10 mins and requires a full reboot I have tried various ATI drivers and settings, but always get a freeeze in MP or SIM mode. 9. I suspect the long load times are due to the code used to write this game. LOMAC suffered the same problems and bugs
  10. It might be better if we have a thread showing what PC rigs can actually run BS with no errors
  11. Thanks, kind of dissappointing isnt it  I cant beleive it after all the testing that was done. Perhaps some relics in this sim from LOMAC which had similar problems. I think it has been released too early also, too many bugs etc.

It must be a BS problem as my rig uses twice as much juice when video editing , and plays FS X on full with excellent fps  Thanks
