  1. Can confirm, I have the exact same problem, after the first lock on, my radar elevation no longer functions. tested it with my CH Products and Virpil Setups. I also got a weird glitch after breaking a lock where the center of the B-Sweep got skewed some 40° to the left. if i set the TDC to the right, where the B-Sweep no longer reached, i could perform a spot scan, but no matter what else I did (cycle weapons, modes, turn radar off and back on etc), the center of the B-Sweep was stuck on the left.
  2. Thank you for looking into this! I did a re-test of mission 1 and slammed on the brakes as soon as the "watch for traffic on runways" dialogue got triggered. Instructor did his swerve again, but this time he, indeed, didn't hit me. When going down the runway he did stop for a bit to let the fire truck pass, but then proceeded to drive on. Only thing that kept me from qualifying was that I forgot to turn off TACAN - though that one is squarely on me, of course. Managed to get a Q on the subsequent pass though. As far as mission 2 goes, I also re-tried it and this time managed to get to race my instructor to the runway with enough time to get take-off clearance from the tower to get onto the runway before a potential crash. IIRC the first time ATC took a good while to give me the actual taxi clearance. Not to be pushy or anything, but are you planning to address these bugs (since i don't think the missions were designed that way) in a future update? Keep up the good work! I am really looking forward to what you (hopefully) will have in store for the F/A-18
  3. With the release of 2.5 I decided to splurge on some quality training material to get my A-10 skills up to snuff, so I purchased the Maple Flag training missions, but i had some erratic results. in BFT 1 (campaign) upon reaching the runway the instructor parked right at the edge of the runway - so i stayed behind him. Once the other A-10 had taken off, the instructor did a left hand turn, rammed my left wing and hence i failed the mission. he did this again on a retry - however this time I anticipated my kamikaze trainer and did a wide right hand turn on the runway so i got out of his way and rejoined him trundling down the runway, where he proceeded to come to a full stop when the oncoming car approached. He remained there with no intention of moving. After 5 minutes of not moving I could only conclude he had decided to take the rest of the day off, so I quit the mission. slightly miffed I copied the BFT 2 campaign mission into the custom mission folder and tried that one. upon completing startup my instructor started rolling without me getting ready first (despite his radio call to the contrary), then remained stationary at the runway threshold - telling me to proceed with take-off. Despite the A-10 having no reverse gear, I did manage to barely squeeze by him onto the runway and take off. mid take off roll he reprimanded me for still not being on the runway - then failed me for the same reason as my landing gear was retracting. On the second attempt I did the one of the fastest start ups i can manage on the a-10 to get ahead of my intstructor and waited at the runway threshold for take off clearance - sadly my instructor did not take kindly to this initiative on my part and rear-ended me with his a-10, ripping off my tail and nudging me onto the runway trailing a good bit fire. Long story short - there must be something broken in the ground handling from what i can tell with the release of 2.5. Could you please take a look?
  4. I am also encountering the problem with the flaps. Specifically, it seems to want to bind the keys for the flaps only to an axis on my X52 pro.... Any ideas how to fix this in Dcs since the saitek programming software is still a pain to deal with in Windows 10?
  5. Ok, I am officially insane now... and yet still happy... So, Saitek tech support turned out to be rubbish, since they just wrote about the calibration fix which I had already tried (and I told them about that) so they simply suggested to return it. I somehow still had hope that the issue would be fixed though, so I kept it around a little longer. Now, I preordered A10-C from DCS last night, installed the beta 4 and messed around with it a little :joystick: (problem with my throttle notwithstanding) and in the middle of a mission the game crashed inexplicably. Once I was thrown back to the desktop I took a look a the joystick and I couldn't believe my eyes: Suddenly the lights on the throttle base were green. So I checked the device manager and sure enough, no more spiking. I unplugged the joystick, restarted the PC and after the reboot it still worked. I have NO explanation for this, but somehow the Beta 4 had the magic power to repair my joystick. So my problem got solved, somehow. Just let me stress one point real quick: I have no idea how this worked, so if anybody experiences a similar problem and tries to fix it by buying a A10-C, there is an astronomical chance that it will NOT work. So save your money. If, however, you are looking for a great detailed sim, drop your cash, I can tell after only a few hours that this game is worth it. Ok, enough rambling, thanks for everybody who tried to help me (especially CyBerkut) and sorry your expertise went to waste on a total freak occurence.
  6. Guys, thanks for all the ideas and suggestions, but bad news: @ilikepie: I tried powered and unpowered hubs as well as all kinds of ports on my PC when re-installing the drivers, unfortunately to no avail. @Cyberkut: Following your suggestion, I also tried and re-installed the drivers from a fresh copy, also considering the usb port issue, unfortunately this did not work either I tried to locate Microsoft Drivers for the X52 pro as advised, but couldn't find any.I even tried the registry editing solution from http://www.saitek.com/uk/supp/x52fsx3.html#b but that also did not help Still no response from Saitek's Tech Support btw...
  7. Well, I have properly uninstalled the drivers (I have no idea how to use regedit properly, so I don't dare doing that), and re-installed with the same drivers (couldn't find older versions at all on Saitek's website) -> still doesn't work
  8. Hey Folks! I hope this problem wasn't brought up by someone else before, but I couldn't find it. First of all, I know this is not the Saitek Support Forum (where I'd have loved to post my problem, but those F***ers closed their registration), but you seem like a bunch of competent and friendly people, and I'm desparate. I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64, just if you're interested. Now, I got a brand new Saitek X52 Pro for the upcoming A-10 game (my first HOTAS), so I downloaded the newest drivers (Version 6.4.4.2 if I am not mistaken) and SST-Suite and proceeded with the installation. However, once the installation gets to the point where you can test all the inputs I found out that the Throttle Levere, i.e. the Z-Axis, was frozen at 100% and no moving of the lever could change that. The LEDs on the throttle indicator itself were also solid red, indicating 100% thrust, no matter where the lever was sitting. So far so horrible. Before I went out whining to return it, I checked it on my old ass Windows XP Laptop (which probably couldn't even run the installer for A-10 -_-), using the XP Drivers provided on the disk that came with the X52 Pro, and there it worked. Therefore, I uninstalled all the drivers through the device manager and tried using the XP Drivers (there was actually a 64 Bit version on the disk) on my new PC, however, the installation didn't work at all. Saiteks Tech Support has yet to answer my e-mail and I am absolutely out of ideas on how to proceed.... Any help or suggestion on how to get this thing to work would be highly appreciated!
