  1. I was on a server last night where all the hueys were taken. Lots of people love to pick up troops drop them off let them get into battle. Its one of the most fun parts of Arma3 - ferrying people to and fro, unloading useful things for a battle.
  2. I know I'm so frustrated with the huey. There are some servers that let you load troops and unload them which is really cool but fast roping, picking up wounded etc why hasn't that been done yet? The flight model, the actual chopper works fine right now. Why not other parts of the game? Is that ED's part or the department that made the huey?
  3. Good news is that you get an M now when there is a launch not directed towards you . Pretty cool.
  4. Yeah a single A means its a zsu-23 shilka with a circle around it. I've had other as well where I was set to AAA and a mig 29 locked me up and launched (I have labels on for single player) and I could see it coming but the jammer would stay at AAA and not auto switch to A2A like it usually does.
  5. Nope, I had an A lock me up and it would stay at air to air..
  6. No track, no I don't use unlimited weapons. I'll record the next time this happens.
  7. Yeah thats another bug I got as well. In semi it would switch to the type of threat automatically. It doesn't anymore.
  8. I wouldn't even consider a dynamic campaign on this one. They are still very far from getting this thing running good the way it is. A campaign mission already is pretty crappy unless you have some major hardware so I couldn't imagine a dynamic one.
  9. Oh and the sidewinder bug is still there. I had tone on a hind.. I fired both sidewinders... heard a noise nothing happened. Sidewinders are still on the rails. The seeker is gone from air to air mode.. I've had this happen at least 4 times. Once it even showed the missiles gone and then reappeared!
  10. Yeah sorry but so far I think this is worse than before. I'm getting way worse frame rates now. I've crashed, and noticed some new bugs. The JTAC crash bug went away when I turned it to easy comms.. The JTAC data triangle thing is not working again. The group ID thing seems to still be taking place (you have to manually reset the group id etc after takeoff) Once you set your group ID it is good though. I was averaging near 30fps now I'm under 20 averaging about 17.. so I lowered the trees from the default setting to see if that affected anything and nope.. still a slide show now. At times I'm down to 1-5 fps. With a GTX560Ti vid card. It got smoother once I took out a whole bunch of armor and there was less units present. Also I was flying over AAA, and a Stela directly over it several times to see if I could get it to shoot at me and it wouldn't. The T72's wouldn't shoot either (it was a night mission) so as a test I turned on my running lights and then they started shooting. Pretty cool. Could have been a coincidence though. Many other little new bugs I noticed I just didnt have time to write down and I don't remember. I'm sure people will be posting about them.
  11. Yikes CTD already.. sorry to put some piss in your corn flakes.. Ran the same mission I just ran in campaign .. Didn't change any settings other than put some birds in. There are some new JTAC dialogs and when I ran them they wouldn't acknowledge and eventually they did. Things started getting pretty choppy and then eventually froze. Attached is the crash log.. Damn wasn't even in for 10 mins before a crash. (yes I did reboot after the patch)

  13. Change notes indicate a lot of squashed bugs.. good job. I didn't see anything about fixing the inability to see other players "SPI" in the same data group in the TAD for multiplayer. Shouldn't we be able to see our flight leaders SPI (wedding cake) on the tad?
  14. In campaign if I get shot down (which is pretty often) afterward I like to watch the other units fighting. Some of it is pretty amazing and some of it is just not right. But the AI of the other units are actually pretty amazing. I didn't realize the level of detail and effort they put into the other units. There has been a few things that disturb me like I've never seen an apache or hind with any damage other than the tail getting blown off. I've seen hinds take repeated missile hits without damage. I've pummelled hinds before and they just keep going.. :) However I've seen some really cool stuff like a dogfight between a Mig29 (The one who shot me down) and an F16 and seeing the Mig lining up the F16 for gun shots and damaging his tail. The F16 limping back towards base smoking. Seeing linebackers shooting at the hinds. with guns and sams is fun to watch. Even my Wingmate continues with his orders after I have ejected. He runs in attacking the targets at my SPI as I ordered. I've had trouble with Mig29's or other bandits in the past, and managed to drag them into sam range. I'd get close enough to my troops and survive long enough for them to launch multiple sams and destroy the mig saving my butt. Anyone have any cool stories of watching the ground battles? Upload your cool screen shots of ground battles in action here..
  15. Yeah but for a release to have some major bugs right off the bat, most companies usually release a patch as soon as possible so it doesn't get a "bad" name. Reviewers are hard at work.. and now some of the crashes and bugs will be in those reviews.. The first patch should be quick... not try and fix everything just the major bugs. I just hope they don't pull another beta 5 stunt..
