I installed the beta, started it and got the window to install my modules. But then I clicked cancel because something came up. Now I can't install anything. I don't get the option anymore. Anyone know how to fix this?

I've installed and uninstalled dcs so many times I should know this. Is it possible to install a module to a different hd than dcs world is on? My ssd is kind of getting full, and I'm considering getting fc3.

For a while now, map names and grid coordinates flicker. This happens both on f10 map and on abris. Most of the time there are no names or coordinates at all, they just blink and flicker for a fraction of a second. Any idea what might cause this? I'm guessing resolution. I'm at 5280x1080, not using triplehead. Using SoftTH since my monitor setup is not too perfect. Middle monitor is 1920x1080, left is 1680x1050, right is 1900x1200, but it's set at 1680x1050. gpu is r9 290, using the latest bios. *edit* I've also set gui to not spread over all screens. Could that be a problem?

Not exporting anything, just the one screen. On just a single monitor frames are ok. Displays are at 1024, not every frame. Might look and see if 512 changes anything.

I've been trying to look up what kind of performance people have with the r9 290. Seems it performs badly. I've got one, coupled i5 4670 @4,4 and 8gb ram. Running at 5000+1080 (or something similar, I have a bad combination of monitors) one screen. Most settings on high, civ traffic off, mssaa 8x (changing makes no impact on fps, even seems 2x makes it worse), tssaa off, no mirrors. Edited lua to 20, 10000. I get between 30 and 50 fps most of the time. Then, sometimes, it drops to 25, then 20 and then 17. Usually when getting near ai in BS2 second campaign. And then... it drops to 11. When this shit goes to eleven, it's not good. This usually happens in a town with plenty of ai. CPU runs at around 90%, gpu peaks at 100%. Memory around 78%. I read somewhere that it's a good idea to set target temp to around 80c, and increase power and fan. Not tried that yet, will today after work. Any other tips for me? This is a good rig. Shouldn't go to 11.

Avira warned of malware in exe files. This ok?

It would be nice with some info like that when mouse over. Not just in DCS but in other games as well. Some have a shitload of different options, like Arma 3, and I haven't got a clue what the difference is.

I think people will need to see your crashlog and dcs.log. I can't help you, but I'm experiencing the same problem. Happened after the small patch to 10201 or whatever it was. Got it to work now with fresh install.

My game has started crashing after 1.2.3.10201. I.e. the small patch after 123. This happens when loading a mission. In sp it crashes before mission start, after loading, and then sends me to debrifing. Debriefing tells me I have lots of kills and I get points. In mp i can join the lobby, but when I click on fly the game crashes. Anyone else has this? Did a quick search and didnt find very much, only one short thread. I can't play single player missions in a10. Game crashes, and I return to the debriefing where it says i finished the mission and I get lots of points. This since latest patch, after 123. Haven't tried mp. *edit* also crashes in mp

Also, it's good to make a habit of glancing at the variometer regularly, especially when hovering. I keep looking at it constantly, keeping in mind the 3 m/s mark. The variometer is your most important instrument.

Yeah, listen to jona. Gbu12s. Easy kill, also for moving targets. Or CBU 97&105. Depending on how big the "herd" of tanks is. CBUs are hard to use for moving groups thought.

I had this exact problem with Black shark. I then found out the problem was really simple. Too simple really, so I overlooked it. The application gets its own volume bar in windows once the game is started. It was down to zero for some reason. alt tab and check. Who knows, you might even be lucky.

I had trouble with fps. I still do, while running my amd at 3,9 ghz. Goes down to 12 in certain situations, but normally has a low of 18 or 20. At 4 ghz it was significantly better, but that gave me trouble with heat and bsod. For some reason just a few mhz gives big improvements in fps as dcs is very cpu-heavy. Or, this is my experience. Anyone else noticed the same?

I was actually thinking the same, which makes me feel like an idiot. I've had it since it came out and still haven't bothered figuring it out.

My slew hat works well up and down. But left and right it just stops after a brief second, making it "choppy" and hard to slew. Very annoying. Anyone else having this? *edit* Updated. Seems to have fixed the problem! xpost from other forum

Set it to night mode. That makes HUD orange.

I've been getting ctd when joining some servers. It loads, but crashes just as I'm about to enter server. For example in STP VIII hosting dragons convoy hunting. Tonight I seem to crash when joining any server though. Anyone else having similar problems? Posted same in wrong forum some minutes ago. sorry.
