  1. I finally found the time to install the latest 2.9 beta. My 2.8 install was 557GB in size, and the latest beta is 12 GB smaller.
  2. Thanks a lot. I will have a look later. Probably going to install it tonight.
  3. Thx! I'll compare that to my install size.
  4. That would be great. I'm running out of SSD space a bit, hence the question. I've got all maps installed, and most of the modules (except the cold war era fighters), and a good amount of campaigns.
  5. Hi there! I'm on a later 2.8 build, and I've got around 2/3 of all modules installed. Updater says download size is 168GB. How much bigger will the actual install approximately be after the download and install is finished?
  6. Bin am Herunterladen und freue mich total darauf gleich zum ersten Mal diesen Jet genau anzuschauen und dann zu starten! Was lange währt...

    Eagle has landed!!!

Soooooo cool! Downloading the update right now.
  8. Same for me too, takeoff assist turned on in the warbirds, cockpit options (like language or trimmer options in the Hind etc.) were reset...
  9. Verkaufe mein Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS Set. 1 Monat alt, natürlich in original Verpackung. Das Angebot (330- EUR) gibt's hier: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/thrustmaster-warthog/2462727702-225-4576?utm_source=sharesheet&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_android
  10. It happens during evening (sunset), flying over Cairo, coming in for a landing at Cairo International in the F16C, looking around using Track IR. My system is rather low end, but runs DCS with stable performance and nice visuals (most of the time): AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32GB 3200MHz RAM, all on Samsung 980 M.2 SSD
  11. I have the same issue. Over Cario, especially during dusk and dawn, I get FPS as bad as 20, including some severe stuttering. What are the recommended settings for the shadows? Thanks in advance for your help! (And yeah, the map is absolutely gorgeous! )
  12. Welcome the the "dark side". I fly MSFS and XP a lot as well (with some occasional space ship flying in Star Citizen). I really have to say that one can't compare military aircraft in a civilian flight sim with the ones you find in DCS. You'll definitely want to spend some money and time to get yourself a good HOTAS setup. The T16000 by TM is a good entry level choice. I've used the Warthog by TM for a bit, but recently I've upgraded to VPC controls. The WarBRD-D base with the Constellation Alpha Prime Grip, coupled with the MongoosT50-CM3 throttle are really something else. Carrier landings and AAR are so much more enjoyable and easier with a really good controller setup. I fly multiple modules in DCS (helis as well), and I love the versatility and all the axis and buttons that can be assigned to your heart's content. Also a set of rudder pedals is very important. The fidelity of the flight model in the F18 (and the other modules) is very high. And you'll get much more immersed with a good HOTAS setup. The learning curve might be a bit steep, but take your time. Flying your first campaign, or having fun on a multiplayer server is so rewarding! Have a lot of fun with your new plane and sim!
  13. Yeah, a quick look at the HUD would have made it clear. But I probably just saw the normal pitch ladder and confusion was too big
  14. Exactly. I had no clue what was going on... Pretty sure it also comes from flying too many planes in DCS.
