Hi all, when i place static F-16C aircraft into my mission editor creations and then go to change the default skin, there is only one available. Could someone please explain where skins for static non flyable aircraft should be placed with the DCS file structure, as i have collected a number of F-16C skins since its release and would like to use them on the static aircraft. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Fly safe.........

Having flown the Strike fighter Vietnam sim for a number of years, it would be brilliant to have a Vietnam map, plus the aircraft F-4, F-105D. I am sure at some point with the amazing talent in this community, it may be possible.

Hi all, is it possible to be able to serparate kneeboard images into folders i.e. airfield start up and take off and carrier start up and take off in the same aircraft specific folder, rather than having to scroll through dozens of kneeboard images to get to the actual procedure your a looking for. Hi dburne, thats correct i am unable to select modify from the drop down menu under kneeboard profiles as it is grayed out, therefore i am unable to modify the picture sizes i am going to use in VR.... Ray

Profiles Hi Guys, not sure if it is something i am doing wrong, but i can't modify profiles in the kneeboard set up. Options - kneeboard profiles - modify the modify element is always grayed out, so i can't resize the kneeboard docs for my aircraft. Any guidance would be much appreciated. :thumbup:

Hi could some explain why i have lost the graphics of my mirrors inside the cockpit of my F/A-18C, they function as normal but without any reflections. how can i get these to function properly again please. Regards Raymin

Kneeboard images Hi all, i have started to use this excellent kneeboard builder, but i am having problems with the size of the images. After converting the pdf then attaching to the kneeboard, i go to fly open the kneeboard in DCS and the images are almost impossible to read. I am using Chuck Owls brilliant tutorials, but i can hardly read them after convertion. is there a correct size these if so how do i achieve it. Really appreciate some help and guidance please. Home Fries, i have finally figured it out, thank for your amazing A-10/F-18 pilot template, it may be a small addition to see squadron patches on pilots, but it adds so much more emersion when flying or viewing the A-10C. I'm as happy as a hog in muck!!! Thanks again :thumbup:

I am sorry if i have put this question into the wrong forum area....but i have loved flying the A-10C since its release, its an amazing aircraft, alot of people have cut their teeth on learning to fly this great aircraft, but i just feel these days its now being left behind, as so many other amazing air frames are coming along!! I would like to ask if one of you fantastic talents in skinning etc within the community could made or up date the A-10C Pilot Skin, including the Helmet and incorporate A-10 Squadron patches or provide step by step details on how i could achieve this by having a go myself.....:helpsmilie: Thank you for reading this and your time....

Hi all, i posted recently for help in changing the pilot skin in the A-10C, but on one responsed therefore, would someone with the talent be prepared to create a selection of present A-10C pilots skins wearing authentic squadron patches and to update the HGU-55p helmet as the original has always seemed to look very light in colour. Any help would be amazing. Thank you.

Wow, i am amazed no one has come forward to provide some help under this topic, i can clearly see there is some serious talent across this forum, but obviously knowledge is power and those in the know want to keep it this way. I have zero knowledge when it comes to adding pilot skins or any other skins for that matter, but i just thought, someone would be willing to point me in the right direction, rather than having to look at the plain pilot (original) skin for the A-10C. Hi Guys, i am sure this subject has been done to death, but as a complete novice, could someone kindly provide me with an idiot proof guide to adding pilot skins/helmets to the A-10C or other aircraft. I downloaded Homefries excellent Photoshop template (A-10& F/A 18C), and i can see everything in photoshop, but how do i save the specific flightsuit with patches, i know how to save to .BMP not sure about 24 or 32 bit, DXT or dds convertions. Then finally where and how do i up load into DCS for use, so i can see the pilot from an external view. I know its a lot to ask, but i would really appreciate your guidance to help with my emersion of this Epic Combat Flight Simulator. Regards Raymin

Hi all, having purchased Oculus Rift recently, i have it setup especially for my DCS flight simming, it is absolutely amazing in VR sat inside the virtual A-10C cockpit. I am having a small problem, which i am hoping someone may be able to provide me with a solution please, when sat in front of my computer desk with my Warthog HOTAS and my new VR headgear on, i find once i go into the sim, i am practically sat very close to the VR console in front of me, is there a way of adjusting the distance of the VR cockpit once inside it. Any help would be much appreciated

I don't wish to show my age here, but my very first Flight Sim I believe it was Microprose Gunship on the ZX Spectrum, the game loaded via a tape deck, which usually took 25 minutes to load. Ground breaking for the 1980's but the down side was, if you got shot down or you crashed, you had to reload the whole game again, taking 25 minutes!!!:cry:
