    I talked to the team about how these circles are rendered, and because they are 2D engagement zones, they are a rough estimation for middle altitude of the gun, it can be longer and shorter depending on the altitude of the target it is aiming at. There is not a good way right now to show that in DCS.

    Ok, so it really isnt a bug. 
    Orbit is based off a Orbit point, so when you use Push Task it goes back to the last known point, which is the last WP past (or the first WP in the route).
    If you use Set Task, it wipes out the set route from the ME, and that spot in time becomes the initial point for the new route and is able to orbit there.
    Hope that makes sense.
    In my mind, and I haven't tried, would be to set some more WPs in the route so that the AI doesn't travel back so far. Not ideal or perfect, but should make for a little closer to what you want.

    Yes, as stated, sounds like you have Game Mode enabled, Game Mode is not working well... or too well depending on your point of view.

    From what I can see, there is something odd going on, I wonder, do you have the option selected in game to sync your controls with your HOTAS on mission start (under MISC in settings)? If you do, unselect and try again.
    When I save the track as a mission, then reopen it, all works fine. Start there and see if we can figure it out.

    Thanks for all your valuable feedback, this is now a thing, and has been added internally. You should see this option in an upcoming patch.

    Will you accept and answer from a pretend pilot who asked a real pilot?
    Its just stabilizing, there is more resistance as you increase pitch and the engine has to counter and catch up.

    In the Mission Editor you can remove the FCR, I believe, and I may be wrong, the AUX tank removal is coming later.

    You don't select waypoints like a fixed wing, You set a Direct To from the waypoint route. All in the TSD Route and Points videos.

    Can you confirm you are not in Game Mode?
    It looks like you may be, and as far as I know, Game mode is a bit of a mess right now.

    Hey guys, just to chime in here, I talked to Kate about the VO on the Hind and how eager everyone (me too) are for it and its just be a scheduling issue with the "voice" of Petrovich, I dont know the reasoning behind the scheduling issues, sure I could guess or assume, but that's all we have. It was desired to release the VO along with the AH-64, but it just didnt work out, that said, its close enough now that it very well could be the next major update after this weeks. Thanks.

    I am marking this as known as stated the map is quite old and a hybrid of old and new tech, because of this, issues can be apparent.

    I have confirmed with the team this is accurate as is. This delay can even be seen in some modern fighters. So remains correct as is. And I tested heavily last night and saw no impact on employment of the guns vs various targets.
    That's not how this works, we model, and I would hope you would expect it to be so, to the best of our knowledge and documentation. We are not perfect, but no one has given anything more than feelings on this, it is correct as is, just as changing it to correct as is was the correct answer. 
    We dont have to document ever thing we do to prove it to people that feel its wrong, that would end up being a full time job, as stated, if you have an issue and have documentation, then post it. Otherwise its not really a bug report.
    As a side point, the title of this thread is even misleading, its not a 1 second delay.

    Dear all, I have talked to the team about this, and while they agree it most certainly could have been communicated better they 100% felt it was doing more harm that good. The goal now is to design and/or update the current system to properly function with a twin engine aircraft. Once they have that, it will be added back in. Thanks for your understanding.

    There has been some weird issues with shaders that can cause trains not to show up, so if you could, could you clean out your fxo and metashader2 folders and try again? Thanks.
