  1. Flew it again this morning and everything worked perfectly, at least up to the point that the instructor flew into me just before I turned base. FWIW I had a feeling it would happen, was looking at him when he started veering into me, tried pulling up and he pulled up with me until we hit. Oh well, at least I know I can finish the mission Thanks for the help!
  2. OK, new wrinkle. I have flown the practice mission 3 times, with this happening all three times. After I contact UZI and he gives me the first target, before I can reply with the 9-line readback he says NO MARK. The first time I flew it he didn't provide a mark after he said that. The second time he did, and the third time he didn't. Good news is I think I found where the tank is hiding behind the trees so I may be able to self lase and get him anyway. Kind of frustrating though.
  3. I get how to create a mark point, but what I'm asking is after I have the LTRACK on the TGP, if I hit TMS right short will it greate the mark point on the spot that the laser was found? Or if I hit TMS up long will it create a new SPI where the laser was found? I have the TGP zoomed fairly far out for this search and I don't notice it changing from the coordinates that the JTAC gave me, but it may be without me noticing.
  4. How do you set a mark point once the TGP finds the laser? I haven't been able to figure that out. If I could find the tank on my own I would certainly bomb it, but I haven't been able to find it.
  5. I figured out that I can contact UZI if I just hit the backslash instead of hitting one of the directions on the Mic button. So that I'm not worried about. But having another problem with TTQ11. Of the third target, which is the first one that UZI gives me, it is marked by LASER 1688. I enter the coordinates into a new waypoint, they are MM82290226. I set that as steerpoint and slave the TGP to it, call IP INBOUND, then call LASER ON. He lases the target, I hit LSS and I get a DETECT and a LTRACK. And then, either right before or right after I call SPOT the JTAC says TERMINATE, NO MARK. And since I can't find the target without the spot I can't attack it. I have flown this at least 10 times and it has happened every time. Any help? Am I doing something wrong?
  6. Never mind this post, apparently the A-10C II doesn't use the circle reticle for JDAMS and the CBU-105.
  7. I am having problems in mission 11 as well. I can contact Axeman fine, but when I attempt to contact UZI11 I can't get him. I have tried on VHF on 124.0, and 127.5 which is what is on the mission briefing card. I have also tried to contact him on FM on 30 and 31. I am in easy comms, and 124.0 shows up next to his name when I hit JTAC, but it also has [N/A] before his name, even though 124.0 is tuned in the VHF. This is on the A-10C II. I don't use any mods at all, all I use is Voice Attack to make keys easier. Any ideas?
  8. I know this isn't related to the campaign per se, but I'm flying AFT09 and on the GBU-38 JDAMS drop and the CBU-105 drop I don't have the circle reticle in the HUD. I have a vertical thing way on the left side of the HUD. I know that there is a way to change that to the circle, I just can't figure out what it is. Any help on getting my circle reticle back for JDAMS? FWIW I do have the circle when I drop the GBU-12 laser guided. Thanks.
  9. Just did an update of DCS. That allowed me to call for taxi, and gave me the option in the Other Comm menu to tell him that the startup was complete, but it still says my CMSP MWS is not on when it clearly is. This is on the A-10C, NOT the A-10C II, and I just updated to Open Beta 2.9.3.51704 if that makes a difference. Also, I called this mission #2, but it the Ground Handling Mission, the one immediately after the fly in on the C-130.
  10. Decided to re-fly this campaign as I have been away from the A-10C for quite a while. Mission #2, after startup, when the instructor checks my startup procedure, he says that I missed a item, CMSP MWS should be on. I have the switch in the ON (center) position, and I have attempted it in both the standby position on the dial and also in the MAN position. In both cases he says I missed it. Also, I never have the ATC option to ask for taxi, all I have is F3 call for startup, so I have to wait for the startup time to expire. What am I doing wrong here? I have flown this mission twice before without issues. Thanks.
  11. I have checked that that box is checked, and it makes no difference. It still allows me to click outside of the window and then it loses focus.
  12. I just moved from a Rift S to the new Reverb G2 v2. Before I could always press ALT-ENTER and put the monitor in full screen mode, thus keeping the mouse from clicking outside and taking the window out of focus. Since moving to the Reverb I can't get DCS into full screen mode with ALT-ENTER, and I am constantly clicking outside and either taking the window out of focus or causing stranger behavior than that, such as apparently locking DCS up, although task manager says it's still running. I don't know if this is because of the Mixed Reality Portal, or something through SteamVR, or something else. I am using Open Beta 2.8.1.34667, NON STEAM edition of DCS. Anyone have any ideas? This is driving me nuts, I can't even make it through a cold&dark startup.
  13. I just got my Virpil Warbird base. Using it with the Thrustmaster Warthog and the TM F-18 grips. Obviously I ran the Virpil config software, and then remapped all the buttons in DCS. My problem is that no matter what I do in the F-18C I am not able to get the FPV aligned with the E-Bracket once the gear comes down. When I sit on the ground and look at the FCS page I can see the Stab Trim moving as I hit the trim switches. But once I am in the air I can't tell anymore because the Stab Trim is going all over the place, I assume because of the fly by wire. But regardless, I can't get the flight path vector aligned with the E=Bracket. In free flight with the gear up the trim does seem to have some effect, although it doesn't seem to be as much as it was with the Warthog base. I figure I have done something wrong, but I sure can't figure out what. Please help, this is driving me nuts
  14. Is there a way to use a separate 10 key pad to assign some functions in VR, with the sim not seeing it as part of the existing keyboard? I figured with a 10 key I could more easily find things in VR, but when I plug it in the sim just considers it part of my existing keyboard.
  15. Has anyone figured out a solution to this? The only way I can map the VR Controller buttons is to enable the controllers in the UI Layer, but then I can't use the mouse to click on anything anymore. When I disable the hand controllers I can no longer use the buttons but I can once again use the mouse.
