  1. Hi, It's the first time I feel so "involved" in the missions I fly. Many thanks to you Apache600 for this amazing work ! Lots of details and a true "writing" talent. Tomorrow morning I take off with the Su25s:smilewink:
  2. Thanks for your reply. Yes it's somewhat a shame. Many new modules but many incomplete ones.
  3. This article is a must ! Many thanks !
  4. Hi, I read a lot of threads about the Mi8 trim, the G940 settings and trim problems, SimFFB and curves to set or not... etc. But I am still not satisfied with my settings ; could you please give your opinions and advices ? I play the 1.5.7. version on Win7 x64. In Ka50 the default trim works pretty well with the G940 as the stick stays in position when I trim. In Mi8 it is not. Even the "diamond" which appears with the "RCtrl+Enter" does not change its default place when I trim. Well I understood that's because the Mi8 trim system is only here to relieve efforts on the stick while the trim button is pressed. I guess it should be "felt" in the FFB of the G940. It is not. I tried the SimFFB software, and after having guessed that the "Init ..." menu option was here to send new FFB settings to the stick, I tried different configurations. I also guessed that the number on the right was to tell SimFFB which button was the trim one in DCS (mine is the stick button "S4", labelled nb 6 in DCS configuration). I still have no clue to what I should select to have a proper FFB stick behavior with the Mi8 ! Thanks for your replies. :helpsmilie:
  5. There ! I bought today the mi8 [emoji16]It's just a beginning of a long story I hope ! Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  6. Yes I have the G940 system from Logitech, and the FFB works well with the trim of Ka50. So I hope it can be the same thing for the Mi8. Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  7. Thanks to all for your advices.
  8. How would you qualify the difficulty to fly the Mi8 compared to the Ka50 ? I still have problems to stay at one point even with auto hover when I am looking for enemies with Shkval, so I am afraid to have problems with Mi8 [emoji17] Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  9. Check your graphic card drivers ? Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  10. Sorry, didn't understand [emoji848] Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  11. I thought about the 123 button on the G940, but I don't know for the 300S, sorry. In addition, I wonder now if curves can be changed on the fly with buttons. An "alt tab " procedure could probably do it, but immersion won't be good [emoji16] Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  12. There is something similar which can be done for the Logitech G940 with the Logitech profiler software. But as said with TM Target, it's an external program. Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for your replies. I tried some new flights in A10C : still the "computer feeling". I tried some new ones also in Ka50 and it's like I feel the machine a bit more :) When there will be new sales, I think the Mi-8 will be mine !
  14. The UH1 and Mi8 are "multi crew" (I don't speak about the long awaited spec) : are these modules still playable or enjoyable solo ? At least with Ka50 or A10C I know that I should be able to "do all these things myself", whereas in multi crew crafts, I can still blame that I'm only one person :clown:
  15. Thanks a lot to all of you. Well I'm fond of WWII warplanes but I don't have Normandy map or 2.0 version for now ; I feel it's a bit early for WWII in DCS and keep on Il2 1946 or Il2 Clodo with Team Fusion mod for this era. In DCS, I love 1970's and modern machines. I think I like a bit more Soviet ones too. Perhaps it makes me think about my youngest flights in front of a PC (Flight of the Intruder by Microprose and Su27 by SSI...:)) All in all, that's why I had been attracted by the Mig21 bis module. I seemed to me that there was plenty of avionics to master but with a "flight feeling and clunky ergonomics" still there. A few years ago the A10C gave me the "flying a computer feeling" indeed. For the Ka50, I remembered giving up when it was about giving orders to wingmen and mastering the multiple autopilot modes. About the bugs, I'm really ready to have avionics defaults modelised (as in mig15 or Mig 21 modules) but I will not give time to master them if it's because of a module bug and not "real". I stick with 1.5.7. version for now. I almost forgot to say that plenty of training missions and a campaign were a positive thing for me, as in the Mig21 module. The Mig15 disappointed me for this reason (no free campaign and training missions a bit scarce).
  16. Hi, July 2017. Disappointed by avionics of the Mig21Bis, I finally still have time to fly in DCS and am looking to learn a specific module which can not disappoint me as the Mig did (ARC and radar problems, for example). Could you give me advices about which module (at this time July 2017) has as few bugs as possible ? I'm playing only SP. I think about A10C but perhaps am wrong. Thank you !

    Fly by yourself

Hi, thanks Frederf for this summary. I was finally getting time to "invest" into flying this beautiful Mig, trying to use avionics correctly, and yesterday evening I started to find bugs in ARC behavior. After reading all of these bugs, I think I will return to Ka50 or A10C. Too bad Leatherneck or Magnitude didn't correct this. Do you have advices about which modules (except the two above) are "finished" and worth to get into ? Thanks.:)
  18. Thank you very much for your help and edited file!
  19. Well, thanks to all  I "found". I had forgot that I had a similar problem with A10 many months ago, with Avast antivirus. I switched off my antivirus and firewall, and it worked. Just a "habit" to have now, before playing DCS! Sorry you "lost time" with this "problem". :music_whistling:
  20. Thanks! You mean I should try editing the graphics.cfg file? I mean, I cannot access to any options menu as the launcher is stuck at 13% loading. I'll try in windowed mode (fullscreen=1 I presume). By the way, do you agree that DCS World should work without any module installed? The "me.log" file seem to show errors related to A10C module. I believed DCS World could work alone, flying at least the Su25T. About the download, I'll try the ftp files. However, the installation have worked well, so I don't think the download file is the problem. See you!
  21. Hello to all, I create this thread because I didn't see anything similar in other posts. When I launch DCS World, it "hangs" at 13%. I must reboot computer as I cannot kill the process. After having played BS1 and A10 with different versions, I decided today that it could be a good thing to uninstall all and start a new "life" with DCS World. These BS1 and A10C 1.1.1.1. were working just fine even with my XP 32Bits. I uninstalled A10C and BS1, cleaned files and registry with CCleaner, deleted /My Games/DCS folder, deleted "Black shark" and "Warthog" entries in registry (under eagle Dynamics). I uninstalled all C++ 2010 versions with CCleaner, and then reinstalled it with the latest file ont www.microsoft.com. I updated Windows and it updated C++ 2010 to SP1. I downloaded DCS World with its torrent file. I installed DCS World without any problem. Before to install A10C (which I have) and BS2 (which I plan to buy), I want to check if everything goes fine in DCS World. The problem described at the beginning is still here, even after having tried: - the different folder names, the last install is now in the default folder - the /3GB switch or not - the reinstallation of DirectX - the uninstall and install of Microsoft C++ 2010 redistributable package Could you please help me? I don't know what to do now. You will find attached my Dxdiag report, the "me.log" file found in /My Games/DCS/Logs folder. There is no other file in DCS/Logs folder. Thank you in advance for your help! :) DxDiag_270712.txt me.zip
  22. An excellent profile to use WITH Logitech profiler is available here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/1907-logitech-g940-dcs-a-10c-warthog-config-files/ Enjoy!
  23. Well, well... I feel a little dumb. :music_whistling: When I actually "moved" the left throttle to idle (with LALT+HOME), my left throttle was taken into account in the cockpit. Same thing with the right one. And THEN, the roll was also effective (as I could then see the movement of the stick in the cockpit). Is it because of the "hydraulic" powering of the stick? I could finish the training lesson. Thanks. Anyway, I still don't understand why the stick and the throttle do not move "right from the start", "right from the cold start" in the simulation when I move them in real life. Any ideas?
  24. Oh, ok for the idle position. It doesn't solve the problem, anyway, because I already tried to use the keyboard input to move to idle without any further progression of the training. The main problem is that I can't see any movement of the stick and the throttle in the cockpit when I move them IRL, even if I checked "synchronize HOTAS controls at the beginning of a mission" in the options menu. So, do you think that the "Aircraft startup" training mission does not use the HOTAS movement in all its duration, and that it's intended? It seems odd...
