I got a really great deal on a Dell S2716DG last night. It has 2560x1440, 144Hz, G-sync, I know its not a IPS panel but the deal that I got was too good. Cant wait to ditch my old 1920x1080 60Hz monitor.

Thank you everyone for your input, I truly appreciate it. I was able to see DCS on a 34" @3440x1440 on a 1070 at my workplace and it looked nice, the fps were around 60 in Caucasus, so I think that my 1080 should be able to push a little more. I would like to order through BestBuy since I have a $200 gift card that I would like to use. But I will check out those two links and see how it compares in price.

The ASUS is a really nice Monitor, its also very expensive, its about $1900 here in Canada. If I fork out that much money on a monitor I will have to sleep in the garage :-). Thank you all for your answers, I agree that VR is the future and I have an Oculus, the issues is that my body can't handle it, I get super sick while playing, even with medication I get sick. Therefore I decided to sell the Rift and get a new monitor. Currently I have a crappy 24" 1080p monitor. So anything will be an improvement for me in that regard. I don't really know if i should go with 27" or 34", 60hz vs 100+hz, G-Sync vs no G-Sync and so on . There is so much out there and to much conflicting information, all I want is a really nice smooth gaming experience.

Yes the 35" does have G-Sync.

I was looking at a 27" with 2560x1440@144Hz or a 35" 3440x1440 @100Hz.

Hi, since I build a new system its time to upgrade my monitor too. I mostly play DCS and cant decide between 3440x1440 and 2560x1440. I have a 1080 that runs at 1924Mhz and a i3 8350k at 4.9Ghz. Which one would you go for and why? Thank you

I am looking at the i3 8350k as well, the 6 cores of the i5 will not be utilized by DCS. Why did you go with the i5, I am just wondering since there is quite the price difference between the two. Currently I have an i5 2400 so anything will be an improvement for me.

I still need to wait until my rudder pedals arrive, I was not very happy with the Saitek Combat Pro pedals, I hope that the MFG's are better ;) Having the Hog without pedals is kinda pointless.

Hi all, last year I sold my TH Warthog because I thought I did not have the time to fly anymore, now I regret it. I'm considering to buy another Warthog, but it is nowhere available here in Canada, does anyone know a reason for this? Where can I get one? Hello everyone, I finally decided to sell my stick and rudder, simply cause I don't have the time to fly anymore and it would be a pity just to have it sitting around. I purchased both last year and since then I rarely flew, perhaps 5h overall. The Stick will be shipped in its Original Box and does look like new.
