  1. Darn it! I guess I won't be doing any simpit work once you release it Quick question. What resolution might be the stock P-47D textures? They look closer in terms of quality to your textures than to what we have as stock textures for Dora.
  2. Same here after the update. Grab short track files gents! https://forum.dcs.world/topic/320363-engine-issues-when-using-mw-50bug/?do=findComment&comment=5415389 The real deal RL manual for the Jump engine in this post
  3. I've been flying the same mission over and over for the past month. At least before the main April update. IA - Thunderbolt furball. Always the same way: 1. 0-1000 m 2. 350-450 km/h mostly 3. yankinkg the throttle (Xbox controller) 4. not touching the radiator flaps knob 5. MW50 used CONTINUOUSLY, sometimes over 5 minutes at full throttle without a single retarding of the throttle. Before update: No engine failures without battle damage. After the April update: I started getting unexpected engine failures. I think they are preceded with a pop sound. I'm going to try to grab a short track file.
  4. Thanks for chiming in! That was what I suspected but wanted to make sure I'm not missing something obvious.
  5. I'm going to try this out: Also found anothr thread. Recent bug being hunted down More findings Even more I guess a shoddy manual does translate into higher post count.
  6. You revert back by the feel of your physical controls. I think I can only only achieve that by diving down in the cockpit. Just stating the obvious
  7. I agree. I'm only asking for the purpose of combat emergency where the engine starts to misbehave right after I take hits. I'd crank them open, climb, heading home and only then I would like to slowly "get back to auto" and observe the engine parameters. That non-feathering propeller is a bummer since dora has a high aspect ratio wings and would glide pretty far. So it would seem the knob doesn't command the position but rather the thermostat setting. So: fully closed position is 1000 deg Celsius fully open is [still around 100 deg Celsius with flaps automatically closing to whatever position gives 100 deg Celsius] How about the takeoff procedure? Am I dreaming this up? There was never anything about radiator flaps in the DCS takeoff procedure?
  8. The manual only mentions the manual mode for the automatic governor failure. It's hardly a complete discussion of the subject, not to mention it's hard to say if the governor is fine after taking a spray of 50 cal on the whole aircraft. Any tips? I usually leave the MW50 on and decrease RPM, cowl fully open manually.
  9. How it's done? There's no "back to auto" keyboard binding in-game. Also, wasn't "cowl flaps manually fully open" part of the Take Off procedure around 2015?
  10. The recent February audio overhaul is already a huge deal. It's now more fun to taxi on the runway than to fly the Dora pre-update An update to the 3D model, 3D damage model and systems damage modeling would have been great. The Yo-Yo's landing gear physics overhaul is destined for all the aircraft so it's only logical Dora gets it pretty soon. 11. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/152013-how-to-feather-doras-prop/

Hi! I didn't want to necro the topic. It seems that there's no way to feather the prop in D9 since there are no pitch controls in the cockpit whatsoever. Do you have any other information?

  12. I'm going to use the Package Editor, sorry for bothering you. I'm using the mod as a regular non-zipped folder for now.
  13. I've just tested with Nanazip (a 7zip clone in MS Store) - .zip - LZMA2. OMM picks up the mod using the "Add mod" [+] and the archive gets added to the hub Library folder but the mod is not visible in the interface mod list. bloom kill mod by Bucic feat LucShep OMM compat.zip
  14. I think people don't realise what the updated landing gear physics mean, per the P-47 mention in the changelog. It's the beginning of the Yo-Yo's ldg modeling project that in the future is going to be implemented further module by module. So eventually even godforsaken modules like F-5E may receive it.
  15. wut?! 300 EUR is quite feasible even for me. There's a lot of missing info though. 1. How many motors/channels does the controller support? 2. What are the differences between the DIY kits? I am guessing I'm supposed to conduct comparison of the motor specifications myself. 3. Do you have a discount you could share, as the brand ambassador?
  16. @Phantom_Mark What's the cost of Rhino as of 2024? Any worthy DIY alternatives?
  17. No, that's the only thing glitching and my setup is 100+ FPS capable. Apart from AI WW2 wingmen which is, again, a separate issue. Not to mention the behaviour can be triggered on demand consistently by commanding specific engine RPM.
  18. @Tiger-IIThTiger-IIThis topic is about the impact glitch specifically, not the tire flex. The tire flex effect I understand and appreciate it was put in place even without the associated visualisation.

  20. Does such a model exist for Dora? There are some high-res liveries available but with that cruft textures of "holes" it all starts looking bad after a single hit from the enemy.
  21. I've just edited my go to IA mission (Channel - furball with Thunderbolts) for my Dora to wear your livery. Magnificent! But as soon as I get hit with any gunfire, the legacy "damage" textures are being applied. Supposed bullet and shrapnel holes. Your fine liveries go with them like a fine saddle on a pig! Do you have any plans to at least refresh the old "damage" textures a bit?
  22. To be frank I'm more after the changelog rather than the patch itself. The search for phrase "F-5E" is going to consistently return zero results, but the recent core changes are interesting. And I'm curious whether there's any followup to the awesome Dora audio rework.
  23. The forums sometimes have an older notification hung for a topic. It most probably happens because of strict cookie blocking policy I use in Firefox, both mobile and on desktop. uBlock Origin has some prey along the way probably as well.
  24. @VolatorT The third one is splash screen worthy!
