  1. Thanks for the link Teka Teka! As more as I read about the Ka-50, more and more I desire to put my hands in the next evolution of Lockon. This addition to the sim will for sure bring us a lot of fun and TARGETS!

I just want to share with you a interesting history I have found on the forums of keypublishing: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=59716 The History Of The Ka-50/Ka-29 in Chechnya. MILTECH-9/2005 On 26Dec2000 two Ka-50s and one Ka-29 air command-target designation arrived in Groznyi(Severnyi) for test and further develop the concepts for attack helicopters operations,with 8 pilots and co-pilots,26 technicians from 344 Training Center. The first reconnaissance sorties with the Ka-50s and Mi-24 were carried out on 1Jan2001 and after 6Jan2001 combat missions started,among the typical targets were parking sites,rebel camps and groups ammunition depots,field fortifications,shelters,trenches,etc,most targets were placed in hard-to-reach mountain areas,on slopes,in gorges and tops of mountains at elevations around 1500m. The Ka-50 advantageous performance in terms of high maneuverability and rate of climb,the pilot of No:24 exceeded all calculated vertical speed data,the rate of climb was registered at 30m/s. In 16Jan2001 Ka-50 No:25 was performing a low-altitude attack with unguided rockets when the pilot felt an abnormal vibration and decided to land at Hankala Air Field,a ground inspection revealed a blade tip damage,the damaged parts cut off and the helicopter flew over its base,and for 3 weeks it had to wait for a spare blade. By midFeb2001 a total of 76 stories had been completed for a total of more than 63 flight hour,S-8 rockets were the most used ammunition with a total 929 rockets being fired,some 1500 round of 30mm ammunition and 3 VIKHR missiles(there weren't that many targets worth a VIKHR). The results of operation in Chechnya issued a decision to restart Ka-50 series production and accelerate development activities for the Ka-52,and the Ka-29 was to be upgraded with the SAM**** 24-hour,NVG-compatible night vision goggles. Any comments?
  3. Thanks. Seeking the nomera.tga file, I find some related tips in other internet pages. I closed the problem some minutes ago by replacing the Worldtextures.tga file in /Bazar/World by its original version. Now I can see the red star again in the plane. regards! PANCHO
  4. I want to kill me! I was testing some old SU25 skins in Flamming Cliffs 1.12, using LOMAN 2.1. After installing these skins, I noticed the original SU25 skins from the game were not showing anymore the numbers and symbols (like the red star). So, using again Loman 2.1, I have removed the skins I was testing. The result is the same. Now, as you can see by the attached picture, my SU25 don´t display the original numbers and symbols.... Could someone tell me which file should I replace in order to fix this problem or send it to me? (unfortunately I´m not with my lockon CD to allow me to reinstall everything). It must be one of these basic Su25 files (cdds or something like this...) Thanks PANCHO
  5. Yes, Brit. And maybe, using clock adjustments, as Kilsek suggested, may allow fighters to join bombers more precisely. The idea of using two close airfields seems to be a good way. Thank you all for the answers.
  6. Hi! Yes! I have just figure out that if a create an air group, I can designate different flights with different tasks on it. So, imagine ... Airgroup RUS01 composed of 2 flights, each one with 2 pilots (2xTu142 + 2xMig29). Great! I can place all of them to start 12:00h from an airfield and I assign me as one of the Mig29s!!!! So I start taxing and taking off together with AI's plane. Now, I would like to discover is there is a way to place a bomber like a Tu142, escorted by 2 F15s!!! You know... A multinational group. If I try to do so, it is impossible. Lockon1.1 only allows groups by nation. If I have a russian airgroup, all the flights must be russian. So, the only way is to create 2 different groups, the american and the russian. The problem is that Lockon1.1 seems to not accept two different groups taxing and taking off simultaneously, even if you adujst time.... You have your first group taking off, and only after that, the airplanes of the second group appear on screen and start the taxing and taking off procedure. It is a little bit frustrating for me. Sure, anyone knows a way to make a multinational airgroup? Thanks people!
  7. So.. you mean there is no way I could see 2 air groups in transit in an airfield? In the same way, if a set a bomber like a Tu142 and want to place 2 fighters to escort him, I'm not going to have the 3 airplanes taxing and then taking off in sequence? It is a pitty the game doesnt have this feature....
  8. Hello to all, I'm new on the game and want to ask you guys: I have created a mission where 2 Tornados start from parking area in Raznoldoe airfield. I placed my plane (a Mig29) to start at the same time from parking area. As a result, I'm having only my plane displayed on screen. Only, after I taxi and take off, the Tornados appear and start their taxing and take off procedure. How can I do to put me and AI's airplane start taxing at the same time? Thanks PANCHO
