  1. Also, BTW, anyone listened to the story about AIM-54 HOJ on tomcast? I'd have that implemented, since there is so much talk about jammers
  2. I got hit by this multiple times. Disconnect from server (timeout) or DCS crash causes the said issue!
  3. @IronMike I was there as RIO flight lead of that three-ship. Two F-14's deployed two ADM-141 each and then it seems @Mike Wazowsky jettisoned the empty pylons as briefed. My intention was the same but I'd do it a tad later. It seems at that time everyone in the F-14B CTD'ed. Pilots and RIOs alike. Also we observed ADM-141 disappeared from the environment once we CTDed. So it's down to: maybe something wrong with TALD's or jettisoning the empty TALD racks. Latest open beta (2.5.6.60720) 3x F-14B fully manned each with: 2x Tanks 2x AIM-9M 2x AIM7-MH 2x AIM-54A-MK60 (STA 3&6) - me and @Mike Wazowsky were down to one each 2x ADM-141 (STA 4&5) Hopefully attached log is of any help! It's from actual event. We haven't tried to reproduce ... YET! @IronMike once this COVID19 thing is over we should go out for a beer dcs.log-20210131-202924.zip
  4. Some progress on the promised. There is a chance I'll get my hands on Oman AIP. We'll see how that goes ... Need to clean up duplicates (some points are shared between all of them) before importing in to .MIZ After that I'll release version 2 And for the feeling of it ... here is how many are there in real world. It makes google earth cry like a baby :) Keep in mind, auxiliary waypoints are removed!
  5. Not every ... Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Oman are still missing (west, south and south east parts of the map) I found them for Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Oman I can't find them. I guess I'll do those after new year festivities.
  6. This was done outside mission editor. But in the mission editor you can add as much as you like and you can name them as well. What you are offered in dropdown is a template.
  7. Persian Gulf waypoints template - Included ENR waypoints extracted from recent [Q3/Q4 2018] Iranian & UAE AIP - Single A-10C parked on Al Minahd AB Number of waypoints: Iran 131 UAE 398 Total 529 This zip files includes: TMPL_Iran_ENR_Only.miz - Blank DCS mission that includes only Iranian waypoints (Iran ENR) TMPL_UAE_ENR_Only.miz - Blank DCS mission that includes only UAE waypoints (UAE ENR) TMPL_All_ENR.miz - Blank DCS mission that includes all waypoints (Iran & UAE ENR) Persian Gulf ENR.kmz - Google Earth KMZ file that can be used for planning (includes waypoints & DCS PG map outline) Tools used: Linux console (sed, grep, awk, tr, split, etc .. lots of regex magic) Google Earth (csv import > kmz export) Combat Flite (kmz import > miz export) Special thanks: Thor77 aka InFlames for help! Viper39 for making CombatFlite tool! Time used: Roughly 8 hours I might do the waypoints for Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Oman. If you have access to Oman AIP, let me know. Feel free to modify as you see fit and drop a comment below. Version 1 link
  8. Last I checked in multiplayer with SRS, it works on A-10
  9. Its the PAC system, that you are reffering to. You should not be doimg that on landing anyway.
  10. Well, it's there for a reason. Yes, you might not feel it. Distraction with low speed is one of those. Also heard a story once from real pilot "Instruments telling you one thing and your inner ear something different" In civil aviation there are numerous test / videos that clearly show activation PRIOR to stall. You can google about DIY, seen some videos.
  11. What they have is a stick shaker which activates when aircraft is nearing stall. Its a device attached at base of stick and does just that, shake it. Other than that, no FFB. For cars you are in a sense wrong and right. In most cases feedback is because steering column is still physically connected to the steering rack which in terms turns the wheels. Hydraulics just ASSIST and do not actually decouple anything. Some cars do how-ever have separated steering column and steering rack.
  12. Has no effect when trying and change it in the multiplayer server setup. It does have an effect when you change it in serverSettings.lua Latest Open Alpha
  13. Saw that later on yesterday but I need to test out. So essentially I changed the port on IP:PORT line in the server configuration page and checked it against netstat and netstat reported that it's listening on port 10308. Have we just found a bug? If I try to preroute the port from lets say 10300 external to 10308 internal it kicks out "connection timeout" on client which is trying to connect
  14. I have two monitors once over another. Suits me nicely :D CDU and MFCDs are exportable by default. Essentially you need to modify your something.lua in Config\MonitorSetup _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('2scr Helios, LOZ prof'); Description = 'Two screen config' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.777777778; } } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1406; y = 1200; width = 445; height = 445; } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 67; y = 1200; width = 445; height = 445; } CMSC_SCREEN = { x = 856; y = 1221; width = 230; height = 49; } CMSP_SCREEN = { x = 1075; y = 1270; width = 270; height = 70; } RWR_SCREEN = { x = 600; y = 1241; width = 175; height = 175; } DIGIT_CLOCK = { x = 480; y = 1910; width = 122; height = 122; } UHF_FREQUENCY_STATUS = { x = 635; y = 1645; width = 120; height = 30; } UHF_PRESET_CHANNEL = { x = 748; y = 1557; width = 30; height = 30; } UHF_REPEATER = { x = 656; y = 1775; width = 110; height = 30; } -- GUI = -- { -- x = 0; -- y = 0; -- width = 1920; -- height = 1080; -- } -- UIMainView = GUI UIMainView = Viewports.Center Some other things are exportable as well, but need some minor .lua changes.
