  1. ... on the other hand, I also get this message to save when I haven't made any changes at all. -Pv-
  2. When I create a column to follow a road, I have to micromanage any sharp turns in the road and force the vehicles to slow down, then speed back up on the straight. If I don't do that, the vehicles wander all over the terrain. They should slow down themselves when the curves get too tight. -Pv-
  3. Win7X64 Pro 8GB Sysram. Pagefile: 12285 static on SSD CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.57GHz Video: AMD Radeon R7 370 2GB VRAM No protection software Desktop and game resolution: 1920*1080 60Hz 32 bit, DPI=100% No VR adapters Voice Attack AA=2X I get pretty consistent 50-60 FPS with occasional halts usually during turns. It appears when the scenery is first loading is the most trouble. -Pv-
  4. If nothing else, you should be able to do it in your Graphics Card software. You should also be able to create profiles for the different games you use so you can have it off or on as needed without loading the software control panel each time. -Pv-
  5. Administrator and directory structure location on the disk has no impact on loading times. 1.5.x loads in seconds for me. 2.0.2.52658 takes several minutes of disk hammering. -Pv-
  6. Have you tried copying in your snapviews file from DCSW1.5? That worked for me, but there is still a problem modifying or saving views in 2.02 even after today's update (May 1, 2016) -Pv-
  7. I can port my A10C views from DSCW1.5 into 2.02.52658 and it works fine, but I agree there is still a problem. As soon as I try to change the seating position or create new snap views, the whole cockpit gets messed up. Not only do views not save properly, but attempting to do so messes up the cockpit enough to make it unusable until I put my saved snapviews file from 1.5 back in. -Pv-

    DCSW 2.0.2 Nevada No ATC

ATC is back in operation with V 2.02.52658. Haven't checked if EVERYTHING is working as expected, but this is a big improvement. -Pv-
  9. Keep your own plane moving and the Wingies will depart the runway and taxi to parking. They stop on the runway when your own player plane is stopped even if you are not on the runway or no where near it. -Pv-
  10. "...and as we all know, in aviation the convention for describing/ indicating wind direction, is where the wind is blowing 'from'" Yes, which brings more to mind from the Mission Editor documentation pg 78: "To the right of the wind speed setting is the wind direction setting. This can be set in two ways. The first is to click on the radial dial to denote the direction you want the wind to blow in" This is unconventional and misleading. As pointed out, convention dictates the wind should be described as the direction it is blowing from. A couple sentences later, the paragraph tries to clarify the meaning: "For example, when set to 0 degrees (due north), the wind in the mission will blow from the south to the north." In traditional meteorology, we would say this: The first is to click on the radial dial to denote the direction you want the wind to blow toward. The back of the arrow is the direction the wind is blowing FROM. Related: In DCS World 2.0.2 and Nevada, Nellis is shown as having a single default runway direction 21 with an ILS. Regardless of wind direction, AI aircraft will always take off runway 03 even with a strong tail wind. They WILL however try to land correctly on runway 21. If a player with wings tries to taxi to the correct runway 21 for take off, the wingies will incorrectly split off and taxi to 03L leaving the player to take off separately causing an uncoordinated wing which has to spend considerable time reforming in the air. This should be corrected so the same runway direction is used for both take off and landing and the runway direction should be based on wind direction with mild crosswind favoring the default ILS runway 21. Added: I see today the re-enabled ATC also sends aircraft to the wrong end of the runway. -Pv-

    Turbulence

"Yes I had bombs. Why would it only be at low level?" Just guessing based on physics: Ground/terrain lift effects. Denser air near the ground. -Pv-
  12. I'm suspecting this is a controller sensitivity issue, not a simulation modeling issue or it would happen to everyone. Check your controller sensitivity and null zones. In most aircraft, rudder should affect yaw at least a little bit. Some aircraft will produce positive roll, some will produce inverse roll. Flipping over though with only rudder input? That I have not seen. If you are using a twist grip controller, use your desktop control panel and operate all your axis though full motion and in combinations. Perhaps your controller motions are driving your other axis out of their null zones. -Pv-
  13. "I turn Anti-Virus Process/Real Time Protection Off When Gaming" This is always the best solution no matter what brand you use. I've been using computers for over 30 years and have not had a virus yet despite having no protection software. All you have to do is now how to protect yourself and you don't need all that performance-killing and over-priced malware. -Pv-
  14. "5. Somehow saving cockpit angles is not working anymore, and yes, it is selected in the options, and yes, I have applied all the .lua modifications found in this forums." I was able to copy over my A10C "SnapViews.lua" file from 1.5 and paste it into 2.02 and use the same snapviews I had in 1.5.x -Pv-
  15. I use VoiceAttack for all my key intensive games. I don't play without it. For the money, no better game software exists. -Pv-
