Had a quick fly on your server tonight. DCS and SR ran well, no issues. I was a little confused about channels, the brief pic had one set and the brief listed different ones. Found 1 MiG to chase. Spiraled from 20k to the deck when he spotted me. Lost me in the weeds. Please consider some GCI. Thanks for the server.

I'm not affiliated in anyway with M3 so take this for what it's worth... not much. I assume that the fix has to be patched into the other versions. So open beta got patched and is now fixed. After 2.0 is patched it will be fixed, and so on.

Great match to everyone involved. I just bumped into this thread from 104th Knight, about his YT channel. The 1st video in the 1st post is from this event. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185196 Great seeing it from his perspective. Everything from the CAP plan in action, to the cluttered comms, and general chaos that ensues when the shit hits the fan, to the nearly useless never ending AI AWACS calls. The AI's fine for a typical SP mission, but the limitations for this type event are obvious. Human GCI will be a big improvement. I also appreciated the weapon limitation for this event. Keep changing it up and trying new things. :thumbup: -
Use the Intercom Mode Rotary. It seems sometimes it must be moved at least once to get the juices flowing.

Howdy all, I must be a bit thick. I'm having trouble figuring something out. I am trying to get the "in game radio display" branch from post 1187, working on my machine. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2983324&postcount=1187 I see the new script in the package but I haven't figured out how to make this work yet. If somebody using it could point me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated. @Ciribob - Will this new display be fully integrated in the standard install at some point? No rush, no worries, I know you have your hands full, just curious, as it solves some problems. Thanks

We just use CA to make the ship stop before we land on it. Making a ship to sell as DLC is a risky venture. It really needs to do more than the mods already out. Included for free, while nice for us, doesn't seem worth it for RAZBZM since adding it isn't going to sell more copies of the Harrier module IMHO. What's included as weapons for the Harrier is more important. I've said it before, if they had included the ARMAT with the M2kC, that alone would have sold some extra copies.

Go in the mission editor. Place any units you want to try in CA. In the editor add slots for JTAC, Commander, or Game master, if you want to assume 3D control of them. (Icon on left frame looks like 2 flags) Start the mission, go into the F10 screen. When you click on a unit it will highlight. At the bottom left you will see the control panel. This is used to issue orders from the map. If you want to take 3D control, find the icon at the top of the F10 screen that looks like a tank. When you click it you will jump into the unit. Different units have different views and positions. You can setup your controls the same way you do for aircraft.

I like Audacity. It's free and excellent for making sound files for DCS. You can export them to .ogg format.

Agreed, in lone wolf PvP airQuake it will require skill to win. That's not all there is to do. Get a friend, drag and bag. Intercept the Ju-88's while the Spits cover. All of A2G. Looking forward to it all.

In order for the "included" missions to be useful for all customers of the module they must be on a free map, which at the moment means the Black Sea. I have often wondered how hard it would be to make an all ocean map. Since they have looked at the idea of making a ship for it to land on, maybe they could throw it on a water map and be the 1st team to include everything, a module with missions on it's own map.:D After it's out it will show up in campaigns whether from them or not, whether they are payware or not.

After entering VRS, forward air speed is the only cure. As you slow yourself into a hover you should be adding collective to control descent rate. -

You can open the radiator covers/flaps instead of leaving on auto. As stated above, the main thing is keep your airspeed up. -
It depends on the equipment. Example: An optically aimed ZU-23 AAA unit can't see you flying above at night, a radar guided ZSU can. Likewise a TOR SAM will see you from 40 miles in any conditions. Add a long range radar to a group, and it will have long distance eyes. Basic detection is a radius, and it's true the trees on the Black Sea map don't block the AI view or bullets. On NTTR some trees obstruct, while large forests don't. These, as with all things DCS are subject to change. I recommend you test with whichever units/maps you are interested in.

AI aircraft don't rearm. Ground units can if they are close enough to a source of ammo.

A good tactic if you know where the target is. Don't give yourself away on his RWR, if equiped. What if you have no idea where the bad guy is. You didn't make the mission, the F10 view is disabled, and there isn't a friendly AWACS/GCI. All you know is the bad guy is within 40 miles but you don't know the direction. Having a long range radar makes a hell of a difference then.

If you go into ?:\Users\???????\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\ka-50\joystick and remove/delete the files in there, when you load up the sim and go back in to setup the controls, it should give you a fresh default file to work with.

Look at options/gameplay and options/misc There are also view settings in the mission file, inside the mission editor, customize tab, mission options. The "options" settings will override when in the multyplayer environment.

I would look for a control conflict. Example.... DCS tends to make the throttle wheel on my stick base a rudder control by default If I forget to undo it there is a conflict with my pedals. I think DCS also sets Z and X as rudder by default. Since the Shark is new to you, maybe you missed something when you made you setup pass through the controls.
