  1. You can install it from anywhere just point it to your DCSWorld install if it doesn't find it. After it is installed the A10C for DCSWorld files will be inside the DCSWorld folder. You can't merge your current A-10C install into World if that's what you're thinking. You need to download the Module version of A-10C.
  2. The default is to hold the K key or use Rshift K to toggle it. The [ ] keys turn the pages.
  3. set internal cargo () The number in the () is in kg What would 11 troopers and gear weigh in kg?
  4. What about adding weight to the aircraft when loading troops and removing it when un-loading?
  5. Run program M on your way down and again on your way out. Stay as fast as possible. If you get a launch warning break hard.
  6. They are working for me. If you still have this problem. please post the mission file.
  7. There is an easy way to test for a controller conflict. Go to C:\Users\your user name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\ Move the UH-1H folder to some other place on your computer for now. Start the sim and go into options and setup just the most basic controls you need to test fly the Huey. If the problem goes away there is something wrong in your setup. If it's the same then just put your old folder back since it's not the problem.
  8. Do you have other modules installed (Black Shark)? If yes, is it owned under a different account name? If so...
  9. As these guys have said, holding the stick aft of center keeps the tail wheel from turning more than just a few degrees. When you need to turn more than it allows during taxi, you can use the left ot right wheel brake. Keep the stick aft during take off until your speed is high enough to lift the tail. Use the 5 degree right rudder trim setting. You can even take off with the tail down if you are careful enough. Like many fighters the engine is far more powerful than what is needed for flight. You can take off with the rpms and manifold in the green. You don't need to go full power. This will allow you to hold it on the runway. It will trim better and give you time to fly easy until you're ready for full dogfight power. Hang in there...
  10. I suggest you download the files. It's a pain but you should do it.
  11. In TS3 - settings \ options \ hotkeys There is a drop down selection window in the lower right corner just above the apply button. Try setting it to "keyboard & mouse only" if your PTT device is the keyboard. See if that fixes your PTT issue.
  12. Thanks for bringing this one back to life. I had never seen it before. There is a lot of reality based wisdom in the op. Look at how ED has evolved. Hardcore DCS in the same battle space with FC3/CA level, or the recently anounced F-15 + SU-27 with AFM (whatever they're going to call them) It's a smart play to go after all markets and bring them together. Wouldn't staged development make sense for this? Build an FC3 level aircraft and sell it for $25. Build the AFM and sell the aircraft for $35. Then take it to DCS level for $50. To allow someone that wants DCS level aircraft the ability to support the development from the start you could have an upgrade path $25 + $10 + $15. Wouldn't this bring in more aircraft faster?
  13. It's not a problem to tweak your frame setting if you want. Just do it in the new autoexec file that is in your saved games folder instead of the .lua. They did this because everytime the updater or repair exe runs it dumps your modified file into the backup folder and replaces it with a stcok version. The files inside your saved Game folder are not replaced.
  14. This is the same issue people are having with the Huey miniguns. It appears Ed has changed the tracers graphically. Inside your ...\user\yourusername\SavedGames\DCS\Config\options.lua file there is a line down in the graphics section; ["lights"] = 2, Any value less than 2 here will cause this crash.
  15. In the options.lua file lights=2 is required for the Huey minigun tracers for 1.2.4.11855. A setting of 0 or 1 will result in a client crash as soon as the trigger is pulled.
  16. Thanks for all your work on this. Looking forward to getting my hands on 7.
  17. These Friday updates are a great thing in my opinion. I don't care if it's good news or bad, just keep me informed.
  18. I may have found the cause of this... Check your options.lua file. It's in the Saved Games folder under your User. ["lights"] = 2, I you change the value 2 to anything lower you will crash when you try to fire the miniguns. It must be the fancy tracers.
  19. If you can hold out until June the next Intel CPU will be released which should lower the price on the current generation.
  20. The group will follow your unit if you order it using / comms, or just issue a formation command.
  21. In CA first person mode, neither Strela type will lock on targets. Even if they are inside 4 miles. Since they can't lock they can't fire.
  22. Great work. I too have issues running in windowed mode. Would it be possible to preset radios before entering a session so one could run full screen and have a working radio in a vehicle without a modelled radio panel?
  23. Under my client options: in Gameplay- Map only in Misc- F10 allow In the mission options in the ME- check F10 view options and map only. With this setup, in a multiplayer game, on the F-10 map, the ground commanders will be able to see their teams units but never see the opfor units. IMHO this works well if you have some JTACs to call in air strikes, but if the Ground commander is solo you might want to consider the Fog of War setting. At least then the they can direct air strikes from the F10 map without having to enter a vehicle like a JTAC.
