Saab SK-60 Trainer
deep replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
It's a really nice update! -
A clean re-install then adding the new Scripts worked! Thanks very much @Fresh and congrats on all the improvements
-
Hi @Fresh, I was so focused on the HUD that I didn't notice that all the MFD's are also missing numbers. I do have quite a few mods installed, so it's probably a conflict somewhere. If I go back to the old Scripts, everything works minus the new improvements of course. Thanks for any other pointers, deep
-
@Fresh, many thanks for all the improvements! I may be missing something, but the HUD now shows only the graphical lines, but none of the numbers for airspeed, altitude, heading and pitch ladder. I replaced the Scripts folder in its entirety.

Fixed: Stores config caution. The stores config looks like it's been corrected now. Strict A2A should be cat I, anything else hanging under the wings should be cat III, regardless if it's fuel or ordnance.

I think the real issue here is performance. If you have hit a performance brick wall using satellite imagery, then it would be better to go with the same technology that other maps are using. I have no problem suspending my disbelief on the Syria map, even if it is synthetic. I realize this is probably a huge undertaking, but unless something drastic is done, I'm afraid the South Atlantic map is in danger of being the forgotten step child of DCS.

I got a crash on an old saved mission, but then made a small change and saved it, then it worked. -

Totally fixed in 2.9! -
@Raz_Specter Is there any chance we will see this in the next update?
-
What a huge improvement - exactly what was needed!

Good question: does anyone know if it's standard procedure to switch to CAT I after an emergency jettison? I don't see it documented anywhere.

How many Normandy 2.0 Airfields used The Lorenz System in WWII
deep replied to DishDoggie's topic in DCS: Normandy 2.0
I believe the center broadcast would just be a steady tone (all the gaps filled in). -
Even if it's subconscious, the picture is framed with care and really works. Someone has a good eye.

Very interesting, I had no idea. https://www.historic-uk.com/CultureUK/British-Summer-Time/ During the Second World War, in 1941 Britain adopted British Double Summer Time, which saw clocks being put forward two hours ahead of GMT. The clocks were turned back to GMT at the end of summer 1945. However because of severe fuel shortages resulting from the harsh winter of 1946/47, the UK returned to British Double Summer Time during the summer of 1947.

JAS 39C Gripen Community Mod
deep replied to whisky.actual's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
This happened in both ST and MT, and crash logs were provided to ED also. Not really a huge problem, as I can still fly one at a time. I just wanted to pass that on in case someone else was having the same issue.- 396 replies

JAS 39C Gripen Community Mod
deep replied to whisky.actual's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Crash To Desktop - as soon as I hit the 'Fly' button in any mission in the C-101CC. Disabling the Gripen mod solved the problem.- 396 replies

That was it - just disabling the Gripen mod did the trick. I also posted that on the mod forum. Thanks for the assist!

JAS 39C Gripen Community Mod
deep replied to whisky.actual's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Not sure if this has been noted somewhere, and maybe it's just me, but I get consistent CTD's with the C-101CC module when the Gripen mod is enabled. It's probably something with the HUD, as the C-101EB is unaffected.- 396 replies
