Hi No I was not removed from Discord. I did not remove myself from the discord forum.. One day I was able to chat. The Next day I was not. I got this odd requirement to render a cell phone number which I simple will not do. I will not allow anyone to harvest my information and sell it just to talk about a game that I have been playing for years with no problem. If I am honest... I feel like I am being targeted and or singled out and pseudo banned for no reason at all and with no warning... I have asked other members of the forum and they have not had this requirement asked of them.. most suspect this is a scam. I have never had to register a phone number with discord. Again if you guys are doing anti bot stuff then I am clearly not a bot. Also if this was something that you guys were going to turn on I would think you would give us users a heads up. Here is the information from discord It shows muted My Last ability to post was 12/11/2023 I was able to make 10,150 comments on that discord forum so this is not something that was required while I have been a member there. As I have written before this was targeted by someone on that forum or something rule change that was arbitrarily enforced I suspect.

Yes I understand that but I have been on that channel for years I am sure that something like that would apply to someone trying to join not some one that has been there and posted help and received help there for many years now. I have been on this DCS forum since 2005 so I am not a bot. When I Joined that discord there was no phone requirement. Are you also saying to use that there is ZERO option for email verification and that something that seem to be rolled out, out of the blue has cause users to be banned inadvertently? The other issue is that discord does not allow you to use voice over IP numbers. I am pretty sure that DCS security teams are not wanting or requiring users to go out and rent a number just to re-join their discord are they? I mean that seem to be the only options we have left is to rent a temporary number to get back in to dcs chat. If that is what it is please confirm thanks so much for your time

For weeks I have been locked out of discord because When I signed up I did not use a mobile number. For as long as I have been on discord I have never had a problem. Now I am effectively banned with no warning from the community operators that we would need to hand over our phone numbers to be on their discord. Can some one from management look into this for us users that use email vs telephone for verification. I would like to be able to stay in the loop on the Dcs discord. Thank you!

Yeah I can't chat on the discord server hosted for DCS. Giving it my home number is a no go. I am sure as soon as you give out personal information like that it gets misused and opens you up to exploits

Can any one explain why out of the blue the DCS' discord channel is trying to; what I can only describe as harvesting... why is it that they are harvesting or attempting harvest our phone numbers??? Are they selling our information to information brokers??? What is going on here? I have been on this forum or some form of SSI / EDyna forum for over 20 years... I got found out about the discord thing about 2 to 4 years ago maybe and never ever once on any discord forum I have been joined to or discord itself for that matter, did I have to render my phone number to use this service! Is this a scam?? Is this some new policy?? It has a real creep vibe I can tell you that much. I have never run a foul of the mods or been banned. Just could not chat one day and got the message below. Thanks for any insight into this matter.

Hi can you explain how you got it working? When Installed it the game would started in VR upside down... I found a post that said turned it off..(to be honest I did not know I had turned it) So I opened it and clicked deactivate the api and that got my vr image to be right side up so I gave up on it. I am shocked that you have it working. When I did first install it (by clicking on the msi) it does nothing... I tells me in red writing that I did not have a recenter key so It seems like garbage software. I go have a key in game set as recenter but when I press that key nothing happens. This software is pretty frustrating because of bad documentation. I shows joystick two at the bottom. As I said.. this thing has very poor documentation. Did you have another resource you used to get this to even recognise the game and joystick? Are there any video that show step by step how to get this nonsense working> Thanks!

Yeah I think we are kinda talking past each other.. lol as some one said to me that I had read the comments to make sure I was making sense... and maybe some one pointed out too... that the issue may be the way the F15C game jet is programmed. Any way take care and thanks for reading

No guys... let me try this way ... a 97% (internal)fuelled game jet of the same sub class should not weight the same as a 17% (internal)fuelled game jet... right? Tht has to be an indication of something not programmed correctly right???

I think you guys are missing the point... I think there is something wrong here... I don't care about the real-life weight of the real jet... dcs is a game so there is something wrong when I can put 97% of the fuel in the C model and 17% of fuel in the E model and their weight is the same. Pilot and oil weight are meaningless when we are talking about what is modelled in the game. From that picture above if, I am reading the information presented by the game editor ... something is way off. As I started in the first post in this room/ space. The game fuel load for the E model appears to no be clearing what the game calculates as weight in the Conformed fuel tanks. that is my best guess I don't think I am saying there is a problem with the game stating what they have programmed the weight to be, My point is that an empty E model in this game should not be the same reported weight as the Game's C model with 97% simulated fuel weight on board.

Ok from the Game The Game Jet F15E vs The Game Jet F15... this is what I had to do to get them the same in game weight to test in game corner speed. That just seems like something is wrong in the calculation and maths...

Where you able to compare the empty weights from the game? If the issue I saw on first release is still there.. there is no way that is correct either.

Set Fuel to 9% the game jet show it still weighs more than a Fully Fueled F15C (that cant be right) Set Fuel to 0% again the F15E game jet shows it weighs as much as a full F15C Assumptions: 1 this is not a bug and in real life these airframes have substantial weight differences 2 this is a bug and the game is calculating base weight of the game jet as having Fuel /Gas in the CFTs and that the game thinks the get is empty (when you play with the game jet (F15E)at 9% you trigger the low fuel warnings. Maybe someone can confim this. The weight issues was seen on first release. I have not kept up with DCS to know if there has been a patch or if the issue still exist. I will try to add some screen shots. If I find the issue is no longer there I will remove this post. Internet infomations shows F15E at Empty weight: 31,700 lb (14,379 kg) Max takeoff weight: 81,000 lb (36,741 kg) Internet Informations shows F15C at Empty weight: 28,000 lb (12,701 kg) Max takeoff weight: 68,000 lb (30,844 kg)
