  1. BIGNEWY, you rock! I would have never thought to try that, but it did the trick. Thanks! :D
  2. Hi all. After installing the new P-51 module, everything worked perfectly, until I tried to fly the A-10 again. For some reason, the Track IR no longer works in just that plane. I'm not sure if it's a mapping issue, or some missing LUA file, but I'm not able to fix it. Any ideas? Thanks for your help! :D
  3. So we have to convert meters to feet, meters/sec to knots/hr, and then input a wind direction 180° opposite of what we're given in the briefing?
  4. I'm running two Nvidia GTS 450 cards in SLI. In stock form, running with 512 every frame, I get 60 FPS with the TGP in CCD, and 30 FPS in either FLIR mode. Unfortunately, while the tweaks above solved the flickering issue, it reduced my performance to 13 FPS all around. I'm thinking because my cards are so substandard, it just wasn't meant to be. :(
  5. Awesome screenshots, and nothing a little turtle wax won't buff out. :P
  6. Does this mean I'll be able to fire the gun on the ground? Please say yes. :megalol:
  7. You should do yourself a favor and find a used Saitek X45 or X52. Either one of those, compared to the stick you're currently using is like night and day. Without actual hat switches, you'll be extremely limited.
  8. When I first started with this sim, I didn't even know there were labels, and from day one have played with them off. I got online today and finally did see the labels for the first time, and I felt like I was cheating. Just spraying my gun all over these big red blobs. I wasn't feelin' it. :joystick:
  9. I'm using a Warthog HOTAS and CH pedal combo, and I have no complaints. I've never used any other pedals, but I've been told the CH pedals are too close. Who knows? But they are quality, and they've served me well for nearly six years now. :)
  10. The Serpent's Head mission. The thunder and lighting were spectacular. I used RShift+J to turn on the "Jigglycam" in the cockpit, and it was a match made in Heaven for that mission. Climbing above the clouds for the first time, and seeing the sun and deep blue sky was surreal. When it came time to dive back into the clouds, I thought I would have all kinds of room. "Pull up! Pull up!" Dead. Wow! Time to put my game face on, and follow that flight plan like it's life or death! I was focused like a laser on my second attempt. I cut the throttle, dove down at about 25 degrees, and even managed to remember the speedbrakes. My plane was enveloped in the thick clouds for what seemed like an eternity, and I was just waiting for that dreaded GCAS Break message! Thankfully, it never came, and when I finally broke through and could see just how close I was to the river, and how narrow that valley was, I puckered up, maneuvered to a level flight, and started breathing again! From there to the target, I was yanking and banking through that river valley with an enormous grin on my face the entire time! The second half of the mission was frantic as well, but to make a long story short, it involved MANPADS, left engine on fire, evading MiGs, and forging a new path home, since I could no longer climb over the mountain range! Damn, I need to fly that mission again! :pilotfly:
  11. Wow, you made that look effortless! I still have yet to even connect, much less take on a couple thousand pounds of fuel. :joystick: <--- Me, trying to refuel.
  12. That was a sweet vid, but my only gripe was that I had a hard time hearing you over the plane. Maybe it's just my aging ears. That pitch black landing was sweet, though! Did you make a custom mission, or are some airports just not always lit up like Christmas trees?
  13. Sickdog, you rock! If you make an iPad version, I will have your babies! Barring that, I'd pay for it. :D
  14. That's for good pilots. What about the rest of us? :joystick: :harhar:
