  1. I've been having this same issue too
  2. Hey no worries man, thanks for the suggestion :)
  3. Hmm, well I certainly never remember seeing it before. How nice the rotors look whirring around outside the cockpit in those high-FPS areas was something I always liked and used to look at a lot when cruising long-distance, so I paid plenty of attention to them.. I'm certain I never had this before.
  4. Well as I mentioned, it's enabled. Also this doesn't actually look like a vsync tear, it just resembles it slightly. This is something else, like the outer section suddenly becomes more transparent due to some error with a blur effect.
  5. Hello :) Just wondering if anyone has seen this, or if this is some kind of known bug? I don't remember seeing it in BS1 or BS2 standalone. The rotors seem to tear towards the tips, or at a certain radius around the aircraft. It almost looks as though it could be caused by vsync not being enabled, yet it is. Here are a couple of screenshots
  6. Ahhh, thanks so much for the replies, guys! Great to know this isn't just me, I can relax now and just wait for a patch or something, instead of fussing with my installation :)
  7. Hello everyone :) I recently took advantage of the Christmas sales and purchased a bunch of things, including finally downloading and installing DCS World, after previously owning BS1 and BS2 and flying for a long time on those. I went on hiatus for a couple of years after my X52 broke, and the X65 which I bought as a replacement just didn't feel right with the gunship. Anyway! Really enjoying getting back in the Ka-50, though I have this odd visual bug I keep encountering, where the sky will flash red for a moment, and the world will get quite dark, but slowly fade back to normal. I had initially assumed it was some kind of odd G-effect or perhaps my pilot had caught some shrapnel, or had an acid flashback, but it seems like it's more of a bug. I could only find one other thread that had mention of this (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122458&highlight=sky+flashes+red&page=14). Has anyone else encountered this? It's quite odd, and I believe seems to occur when descending past a certain point and moving closer to the ground. Thanks for reading! My graphics card is a Radeon HD5870, my CPU is a Q6600 @3.50ghz, I have 8GB RAM and I'm on Windows 7 64bit
  8. My X65F stick completely died about 4-5 months after getting it too, throttle was fine but nothing from the other. The X52 I had had a Hall sensor fail as well, but it had just gone out of warranty. Saitek make flashy products using expensive methods, but they are extremely unreliable. Also, I think Amazon tend to send out other rejects/returns as replacements. In fact, they seem to just send out some returns as though they were new products.
  9. Hi guys! Just wanted to get a little info on something. I went away from the sim for a while due to stick issues, but now that I have a new x65f I've jumped back into BS. I installed the latest patch with such haste that I missed the bit that says to install over a vanilla game with no mods. And now, when I try to re-install my mods, they all seem to work, save for cockpit texture mods. When I install Ricardo's mod, or another, I get some of the cockpit re-textured, but all of the gauges and other bits are default. I'm hoping someone can make a suggestion other than to re-install the whole game if at all possible. Oh it is probably worth mentioning that I bought the Russian version of the game, as at the time I was enthralled with learning the Russian language and felt that total immersion would be fun, however that turned out to be more tricky, and so I had to have a friend help me translate it with English files (I'm unsure if mentioning that kind of thing is against forum rules? Sorry if so). Funny thing is, even if I set the cockpit to English mode, it remains Russian in the pit for all switch labels. Ricardo's pit is in English, so there must be some file being read instead I assume.
