You can choose « Save Profile as » for you gears, i often do it for my Jostick, my throttle, my keybaord and my rudder, specialy after adding or changing stuff, plus, i take my config/input folder in my Saved Game folder of DCS and i copy them in a different folder as backup, better do more than being sorry. Been doing thisd for a few years, you never know what can happens, savec my ass quite a few times. So when you loose your settings, or when you get another DCS verison you can start by trying to simply copy the input folder in config, or if not working, simply « Load profile » in DCS/control settings. So let's see if it does work for this patch later when i download it.

Because it always raise our self esteem to find someone more stubborned that ouselves :P

Maybe you interpet that the Hornet is now available on the DCS 2.5.2 full released, as the Stable/Released version and not just on Open Beta? As Gorgar0 said, it's still on Early Acess (The Hornet that is) and will be fore quite a while i am sure.
-
Well they might had been some wrong informations when i did it a while ago, so some stuff on my post might be wrong, i got this from someone i flew with back then that knew SuperHornets pilot, but again i might had miss interpret stuff :)

That'S what i was looking for :) But seems special menu for the AV-8B is but, no custom cockpit dropdown menu and only thing you see is option 1, option 2 and option 3 with a check box and nothing writen besides. So makng a customed cockpit for the AV-8B doesn't work, still gotta use it in game :( Thanks for the files though! May the force be with you.

How were you able to generate them? :)

If that's the light he's refering too, then i have never seen it in game, exept in ModelViewer as Argument #152 (see attached picture). so i can't help, only way found to make light turns on is either contact tower for take-off or landing, if it doesn' turn on for any of those situation, then, merely almost no one knows.

Thing is this thread is sorta a duplicates from the folowing: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=209168 And the reason not working is sorta mentionned on this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3529237&postcount=27

If only i wouldn't use PErsian Gulf map and not just NTTR, the Hornet and 2.5.2 lots of new features, i wouldn't had deleted 2.0 ;)

I used to read a ton on it from my passed FSX orgot a lot, but all i remember was... and seems to be much complicated than i remembered... All i remembered was: 1- Marshal Altitude : Clouds top level + 1,000 feet, minimum marshal altitude 6,000 ft, unless i'm mistaken (ie: 8,000 ft + 1,000 ft) 2- Marshal DME : 15 nm behind the carrier + 1 nm per each 1,000 ft. ie: 24 miles) 3- At 24 nm, commencing descent, 240-250 KIAS with a rate of descent of -4,000 FPM. 4- At Platform (5,000 ft) slowing down descent to -2,000 FPM. 5- Level-up at 1,200 ft. 6- Dirty-up at 9-10 nm, slowing down to 170-190 KIAS. 7- Needles call at 3-5 nm, slowing down to on-speed (Yellow/Orange donuts on AoA indexer) 8- Gradualy start to Intercept glideslope around 3 nm. 9- Until trap, AoA Indexer check, Line-Up check, Glideslope check as usual. I'll have to watch Wags video quite a few times. :)

Make it short, it mostly pronounce as close as how they pronounce President Poutine ;)

Greetings Zeus67, I'm trying to use Uboats app to generate a description.lua from the AV-8B Cockpit .edm file, but can'T, makes the app crash, same as the M-2000c. Would you be kind enough or does you allow to provide the proper lines to put ij a description.lua in order to make a customed Cockpit selectable in the Special menu of the AV-8b? Someone asked me to modify a part and need the line specialy for the AV8_RS_10C1.dds Thanks.

Didn't know that, thanks for the heads up info!

Just don'T freaking enter ILS in the UFC with based land frequency, how much this realism would affect you?
-
I'm totaly on your side here, even though i fly mine with RCAF liveries but use it as Lot 20, but i understand you and for your realism. :)
-
This is not a bug i believe, but you can read on it as i found back then when new NVG came in 2.5 as i was looking how to adjust it and came across post stating the fact Aviator NVG'S are set to infinity, see see sharp stuff ont he distance, as in RL from what i read, when they wanna read insturments they see form the gap below the NVG, but yess in a Sim it'S hard to do. All major useful stuff in the Hornet can be tuned down for NVG, IFEI, HUD, DDI's, MPCD.

Or simply a checkbox in the ME's aircraft panel that let you use ICLS or ILS in the Radio tabs. As i said i personaly don,t care, my love for the Hornet is the sea operations, only time i do stuff from airfield is for take off only, but the heading back is always on a Carrier, i'm just waiting for it to try Case III. Not too often i agree with someone who wants something not in the real thing to be implemented or optional on a module, but on this thing i sure do think there can be an alternative to suit everyone, as everyone who paid $60 for a module can benefits for it if they either like to land on a carrier or land based airfield. So i find a little rude to tell someone who paid his $60, well just do as real pilots does in RL with Tacan and implemented navaids when they love to use ILS. Or simply tell him, when just use the Mirage when you wanna land on bad weather :)
-
To be honest i simply tried to understand his wishs, as i personaly only would use ICLS to practice Case III on a carrier, so if we have ILS or not i don't mind at all, i jsut tried to understand the OP hope for. Simply the fact that it could grab ILS signal wouldn't in now way affect my own personaly immersion on the Hornet as i would never use it, i simply rarely use land based airfield when in the Hornet.
-
I know it all, but the point is, does eveyone likes doing it? We can sure go into RL versus Sim as i can ask you, do you now any one sitting in their aircraft as the payloads are being installed in 1 minutes with the engine running? ;) Or a totaly broken aircraft being repaired sitting in the cockpit in less than 3 minutes? If you liek realism, i am sure you never ever did used a rearm or repair while sitting in the cockpit?
-
You know the difference between ILS and ADF and Tacan beacons right? You know ILS has glideslope indication while the two others one have Directional only (ADF) and the other has directional and range and Cross Track Error (Perpendicular Offset) (Tacan), and in no means a glideslope to help you land on bad weather or help in night landings? I don't know how a ADF would let you land safely a IFR on a IMC condition properly with really low visibility if it's what he's planning to use the ILS for. Thing is, in RL there is models/cariant for each situations, branch, contries, on DCS as he said, we have ONE flyable model, so it'll be nice to accomdate all situation as we are stucked to ONE Hornet to fly on land or sea. I think that's what he meant. Sometimes we need to think further than RL and some stuff doesn'T always apply to a Sim and we are limited, so i sorta understand him. I personaly think it would be a total waste of work, the time they passed on the Hornet not to allow land ILS to tunein the Hornet as it doesn't in RL, i'm sure some people would like to fly the Hornet in NTTR because maybe, it'S their favorite map, and would like to land there in situation they need ILS.

You know what, just do a simple quick test and save a lot of this and that questionning, simply put your mission with easy comm, hop in your Hornet, select COMM 1 on your UFC, contact tower while pressing the COMM 1 PTT switch (see below keybinding references) to use radio COMM 1, see if it works, if so, pay attention to the FRQ it will automaticly tune to on your UFC (it will also show in the comm meny besides the Stennis name when you select it), quit mission, edit mission, remove easy comm, get back in your Hornet, select COMM 1 on your UFC, tune your COMM 1 to that FRQ it changed to on easy comm previously, press the COMM 1 PTT switch to use radio COMM 1. See how it goes. Sometimes, you need to contact it tower 2 times in a row so it answers you BTW as the first time it Highlight in white the radio and second time sorta contact it. For your record, all the misison i created still uses 127.500, the main changes is that we can now attribute customed FRQ to each ship int he group, before the Stennis was fixed with 127.500. I personaly don't know where the 298.000 comes from. Even when i create a new mission now from scratch to see, i drop a Stennis, it shows in it's details as 127.5 MHz with AM Modululation on the drop down menu. Make sure you use COMM buttons to contact tower, look in your controls options and look for the folowing and use the proper binding you have on your side if different than mine; COMM Switch - Comm 1 Chances it'll be (RAlt+\) Make sure it's backslash and not Slash COMM Switch - Comm 2 Chances it'll be (RCtrl+\) Make sure it's backslash and not Slash

I presume you got your wish come true as when i load the Instant Action Carrier Cold and Dark, Carrier Takeoff, Case 1 Carrier Landing missions, they all have USN liveries. Damn it, i want RCAF Liveries!!! :P
-
You'll have to do as i made for my RCAF liveries, add it to the livery, but if you really insist on having your own number generated, you'll have to live with where it shows, since it's where it has been defined, i think, on the 3D Model and this is where all liveries Digits appears, if each country would have their own digits location, we would end up with 20 different .edm files, i think. Unless the location of the area is in a .lua which we can change location with simply x,y and z coordintaes, which i doupt.

Yep, that's why i directly pointed him how it's named, because i was so looking for it at first.

On ground might be for normal communcation menu, such as ground crew.
