  1. Ok so this is weird... I applied the tips from Bitmaster: - Deleted option.lua, set to High preset and changed shadows to medium, visibility to extreme and the sliders to the values he gave. So these settings are higher than during my first test and I now have between 25 and 30 FPS at the start of the first gazelle mission. (in flight it goes up to 60FPS without any problem).
  2. I'll ask him but for me: The nvidia settings (general only, no specific settings for DCS). Sorry it's in french, but basically it's all default settings. Installed driver is the latest one 368.81 Background processes: - Track IR, Dropbox, Logitech gaming software, flux. They are the most notable ones. - I'm just using the windows defender from W10. Thanks for the help.
  3. Hello all, I saw a lot of post regarding performance issues in DCS 1.5. I had no issues until the latests version 1.5.3 & 1.5.4. Today I was flying the first campaign mission of the SA342 Gazelle (really good campaign by the way...). Conditions: Start of the mission, on the FARP, engine off. Comparison: My config - GTX 970 - i5 4690 - Running DCS on an SSD Result: 13 to 18FPS depending where I look My friend's config - HD7870 - i5 4690 - Running DCS on an SSD Result: 45 to 50FPS in the same conditions. Settings are exactly the same for both of us. No specific settings in our graphic cards control panels. Our settings: So the big question now: Why is there such a difference? I don't recon it's hardware related, with our settings, we should be able to run both at 50FPS easily. Any ideas? Cheers, Cam'
  6. I agree with Az', there is already an option for those that don't want to spend too much time starting up the aircraft. It's the 'start from parking hot' option in the ME. Honestly, the Mirage 2000C needs only a few switches to use to start up. So either you want full realism and you wait for the 4 minutes aligment time (or use ALCM for a quick start) or you don't want to wait on the parking and just use the start hot option. Difference is just 3 buttons and 3 switches. IMHO, there are more important things to work on than adding an option into the ME (which will probably need help from ED to implement).
  7. A pilot should always have a proper watch at his wrist anyway :D
  8. Thanks for this awesome guide! Cam'
  9. Mig 21 should not be taken as a reference IMHO. It might be beautiful and really detailed, but it's a disaster in terms of optimisation. Everytime someone jumps in a Mig21 on a server, it introduces an awful lag for everyone, ending up with disconnection and/or freezes for everyone. So I prefer having some low/medium resolution for some of the less important parts than having a ultra-detailed aircraft with no optimization. That being said, in my opinion, the Mirage cockpit is really nice, even if some parts could be improved, if it does not impact performances too much. Cam'
  10. According to Zeus they are struggling to find why the fuel transfer is not properly done with M-2000C. They are working with ED to find out what the problem is. Cam'
  11. So let's settle this with a "Still work to do on it". :smilewink: See you. Going back in the pit. :pilotfly:
  12. I would as well go for "full" realism. However, the question is legitimate given the fact that the other aircraft in DCS does not have this issue modeled... Thanks Zeus & Az for the infos on ECM.
  13. If you only have a joystick and no rudder pedals, the rudder keys are useful. So I can understand this is a priority for some people.
  14. Il y a un bug actuellement avec les commandes de vol au clavier. Il faut les assigner sur une manette, un joystick pour qu'elles fonctionnent.
  15. Yes there are a lot of functions that are not implemented or that needs work. Razbam is really well aware of it. Just see it like this: As we all have access to the module now, we'll be able to give our feedbacks. It will probably help them improve quickly and deliver the final version a lot sooner that what it would have been otherwise. And from the intervention and communication of the RAZBAM team, I'll say that we can be pretty confident about the future of this module!
