  1. This did resolve the orange no skin texture where the tact numbers sit. The last 3 lines only refer to the tactical numbers on the nose top n sides and wheel nacels. Changing the .lua to the example below only spread the orange no skin love to those spots as well! :( {"A-10_Number", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",false}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_F", 0 ,"empty",false}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_T", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",false}; {"A-10_Number_Wheel", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",false}; } countries = {"USA"}
  2. I have a custom skin where I don't want the tactical numbers displayed on the tail of the aircraft. Opening the .lua file in the skins livery I see script for the tactical numbers. I change the default value from true to false (example below). On flying the skin in game I get the orange "no skin" texture in the square area where the tactical numbers sit. How do I disable the numbers from the tail? I'd really appreciate the help on this. Thanks :thumbup: livery = { {"A-10C_PAINT_1-a", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-a",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-b", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-b",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-c", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-c",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-d", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-d",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-e", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-e",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-f", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-f",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-g", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-g",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-h", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-h",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-i", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-i",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-j", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-j",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-k", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-k",false}; {"A-10C_PAINT_1-L", 0 ,"A-10C_example_1-L",false}; {"A-10_Number", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",false}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_F", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_T", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",true}; {"A-10_Number_Wheel", 0 ,"TactNumbers-USAF-Light_black",true}; } countries = {"USA"}
  3. Can anyone tell me how to make the A-10 skin render as a high gloss in game? Many thanks
  4. I've deleted all the buildings from an old mission and checked to see if there is a config file to delete but still wont open in World. Is there anything else Im missing?
  5. Its definately more sensitive toward the stall in 1.2. Everyone I've spoken too has said it.
  6. uncheck game avionics as well as uncheck game mode
  7. Go to options and deselect "labels".
  8. Yeah, think I know what you mean, had a play with the waypoint attributes by switching between approach, enroute, terminal etc and the deviation bar didn't seem to alter in sensitivity. I basically want the bar to start swinging/moving like a radio navaid would, about 4 to 6 miles out or so. Seems the deviation bar moves 10miles+ out when using it with a steerpoint which is useless when trying to train/practise navaid radial intercepts. If I'm doing it worng and the solution lies in the attributes page I'd love to hear about it! Thanks! :D
  9. Hi all, my query is this: When the HSI is slaved to a tuned TACAN navaid, it works in a way that when you move the course bar it will give you radials to and from the TACAN tuned, with the relevant deflection of the course bar swinging around. When slaving it to a steerpoint, the HSI does not behave in the same sensitivity with regards to the course bar deflection. Is there a way to adjust this sensitivity so I can use sudo waypoints over a position where a TACAN is in real life but not in game? Thanks in advance! :)
  10. Can't wait!!! Will be awesome... no pvp? ;)
  11. For additional info... carrier is moving, has KA-50s spawning on it (albeit 1 at a time due to the helos spawning on top of each other instead of spread out across the deck), and the carrier AI is switched off for a moment at one point in the mission. Gonna be testing whether or not the AI on or off is the problem. Dont think it is. Do I need support ships nearby? Tried having a Carrier Group as it were with a few support vessels, more for the immersion then anything else. They all kind of got confussed of their positions in the formation I had them in and the group just didn't move. But thats another problem! ;)
  12. Does anyone know how to enable re-arm and refuel on the USS Carl Vinson Carrier for KA-50s? Do I need certain vehicles nearby or on the carrier to effect this or is there another way? Look forward to your help guys. Thanks! :cheer3nc:
  13. Thanks for the response Nate. I understand where you're coming from now. Can't anything be given even if the timescales are heavily laiden with "this is only a target, bare with us..." "This is an estimated release date ONLY and is our target but is completely subject to change due to unforseen circumstances at this stage..." etc Surely folks can't hold you to account of timescale changes if its phrased like this? General communications would be nice in the official updates. Just takes 1 member of the team 10 mins every few days to update the community. We're just frustrated with the CTDs and comms would ease the pain and give a little light at the end of the tunnel for a community who has such huge support for all your great work.
  14. "The Chit-Chat section is designed to provide users an area where they can discuss topics generally related to the main website theme, but don't have a place in the specific forum sections. This is NOT a free OT area." You're not wrong there Viper, I can see all sorts of topics similar to this in this forum area. Wind turbines, Christmas presents, Tablets, Android spying, current affairs. You get my drift, Im sure, that it would have been more appropriately been placed in a DCS A10C part of the forum such as ED Forums » English » DCS » DCS: A-10C Warthog. Its just the tone in which my post was responded to and then moved to this part of the forum came across as a side-lining of the post and an attempt to bury it out the way. It may not have been the intention but is certainly how it came across. "When its done" is no answer and yes I can expect another answer. Surely, the dev team have the experience and skill to give a rough estimate on time. Alongside that, any info on the problem would great. So far, I've not seen any comms in the official updates about the issue or its resolution. I might be being a pleb here and missed a posting about it, in which case help a pleb out with the link or direct me to the right area to look. In a nutshell, anything more helpful then "When its done" would be less abrasive and nice to hear. Am I being unreasonable? EDIT: As for making a complaint about my issue of this thread being moved, I would rather hope the issue could be discussed before I go getting people into trouble or causing hassle. Thats not what I'm here for, but if you feel its the avenue I should take, I'll happily accept your advice.
