  1. Thank you for the advice. I didn't have to restart anything. A few hours later it updated successfully.
  2. nullHi, Updater stops with an error message. Any ideas? autoupdate_log.txt
  3. It lights up as expected. I don't see a problem with the power supply. I have tried different angles/positions in the room but the problem persists. When at rest, the position wobbles. It's not much, but it's annoying enough.
  4. Thanks for the tip, I'll see what I can do. Even when it's at rest on my desk, the position continues to wobble. It only stops when I cover it completely with a towel. At least this indicates that the problem is not noise from the internal accelerometer.
  5. I will reuse this thread. I just bought a refurbished Reverb G2 V2 from ebay. Comparing it to my Odyssey+, the old HMD has better head tracking. With the new one I experience constant head movements. Just like a bumpy ride. Are there any reports that some units have worse head tracking than others? Should I return it or just live with it?
  6. I'm also considering upgrading my aging 1080ti, but won't until we see AMD's new offerings. Currently for 900E you can find used 3090 which is still quite high. Just wait a little longer. I hope to see a used 3090 near the 500E range in next few months.
  7. Silicone oil ~10ml. I bought almost 100ml, because I didn't know how much they would take.
  8. Hey hegykc, I received my order, thank you! Do you have any idea what silicone oil I should use for the brake dampers?
  9. I think I have the same problem. Very noticeable over the cities. The roofs and balconies of the building drive me crazy. The only solution for me is to set the MSAA to x4, but there is currently an error with the MSAA settings. The settings take effect only after restarting the game.
  10. Wait another 2-3 months to see what Intel has to offer. I doubt you will feel any difference if you upgrade to 5600X or 9900K.
  11. Unfortunately, currently there is a problem with VSync settings in VR and in 2D. See the related thread in VR issues section.
  12. Read the threads in: Input and Output -> Virtual Reality (especially Bignewy's Reverb G2 settings for high frame rate). and Input and Output -> Virtual Reality -> VR Issues Check if you have a problem with vsync (like me).
  13. I can confirm the vsync problem. Even when vsync in DCS is set to off and in Nvidia control panel is forced off, FPS are still limited to 62-63 (2D, lowest settings). When vsync is forced to fast (from the control panel), FPS are 150 constantly. The difference in VR is also huge.
  14. Thank you! Looks like my 1080ti is still good on the new 5900X with Odyssey@1.5.
  15. The improvement in the older ones (like Sandy Bridge) is even bigger. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=260180
  16. I've been living with this for years. The only solution for me is to disable all game controllers from Device Manager. With or without GeForce Experience makes no difference.
  17. An old and annoying bug! I need to disable my Game Controllers from Device Manager to put my monitor to sleep. With or without GeForce Experience it doesn't matter. I can fix it temporarily with "powercfg -restoredefaultschemes", but after flying in DCS it returns.
  18. It's loud, because your card is getting very hot. Replace the thermal paste and run the benchmark with the case open before deciding to replace the cooler.
  19. What is your model? 84C is the max, if I remember correctly. Your GPU definitely throttling. Try to replace the thermal paste with good brand. When I replaced mine, the GPU's temperature dropped by 10C.
  20. Hi, Just run userbench with my 1080ti (which I bought one month ago). "Performing above expectations (75th percentile)" Often these cards have been used for mining and needs thermal paste replacement. Check your GPU's temperature.
  21. Thanks for sharing this. I thought this part was useless.:joystick::thumbup:
  22. Last night, I came to idea to try DCS in VR without Spectre and Meltdown protections (which have big impact on older CPUs, like 2500K). I downloaded the latest InSpectre tool, disabled both protections, restarted and for my surprise the gain was huge. I did not have time to make measurements, but the feel is for almost 30-40% more FPS.
