  1. I have successfully exchanged my 2 serial numbers (BS1 _ BS2 update) for 1 serial number (BS2 full), but the portion of Technical Questions under Support on the main DCS webpage talks about needing to delete the BS2 update module and then installling the full BS2 module. when I go into my Module Manager, it appears that I already have the full BS2 module. Is the answer on this issue under Technical Questions out of date, or am I missing something in my Module Manager? Thanks!
  2. How about with a RTX2070? any benefit from 32 GB RAM? Or would that be a waste for DCSW purposes? Of course, with a potential upgrade to 32 down the pike? Oh, and the significance for DCSW of 2666 MHz RAM, v. 3200 MHz or higher? Thanks!
  3. Got it. Thanks! I'll keep this is mind as I think about future upgrades!
  4. Thanks! I'm afraid that I do not have the Warthog stick or the MFDs. We're taking this a step at a time. Is there a way to determine what will work and what won't without the stick? Much appreciate the help. Daddy Schlich
  5. Hi, I just purchased the Warthog Dual Throttle on sale, but plan to continue using my MS FFB2 stick because I love FFB with my helos. Does it make sense to try to use these profiles with this setup? Or are the presence of both the Warthog stick and throttle so integrated into them that use of them would just cause inordinate headaches? Thanks in advance for thoughts!
  6. Thanks for the tip on the missions. And, presumably, if I have MiG-29 available with my particular version installed, it will include the updated flight characteristics? Daddy Schlich
  7. Hi, I have DCSW 2.5.3.23225, the latest version, installed, and have FC3 as an installed module in the module manager. Su-27 for DCS World is listed as a module, but the button is to the left (green) indicating not installed. I understand from other posts is that that module listing is intended only for those who bought that module separately from FC3. So I could delete that module entirely and not lose anything, right? If that's right, the broader question is how do I know whether all of the FC3 modules, including the new MiG-29 modules are installed? Thanks for the help! Daddy Schlich
  8. Excellent! Thanks! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. Hi, I have both my Lockon Platinum DVD and my DCS: BlackShark DVD, and have both installed on my HD. My DCS online profile says I have Flaming Cliffs 3 (download version), and DCSW Module Manager says I have FC3 installed. My DCS profile says I have BlackShark 2 upgrade (download version), and DCSW Module Manager says I have the upgrade version installed. I know I have the separate Ka-50 original BS installed on my HD. At this point, can I uninstall? Or do I need to keep to the upgrade to work? Same question for any separate Lockon install?? Thanks!!
  10. I recall that, at least at some point, you needed to have installed Lock-On as well as BlackShark (if you had bought that and then purchased BS2) if you wanted to have access to some of the modules in DCS World. Does that remain the case in DCS World 2.5? I still have them on my hard drive, but certainly don't play them any longer. Can I delete and not lose anything in 2.5? Thanks!!
  11. Thanks, but quick question about being able to regularly switch between SR and OB with the updater command. I upgraded 1.5.8 OB to 2.5.2 OB (about 30 GB of new files), but then tried to revert back to 2.5.0 release and DCS_updater downloaded a new file set of 15 GB. Then I decided to switch back to 2.5.2 OB, and DCS_updater downloaded again about 30 GB of files. So I have one installation, but switching between OB and release is not "super easy" but quite painful. Others have said that I need two separate installs, which I understand is a logical way of doing this (and consistent with my having had 1.5 and 2.0/2.2 alpha installed at the same time, but one installation would use much less hard drive space. What am I missing here? I've seen inconsistent references to whether any changes need to be made to the Windows registry - with most saying "no." And DCSW works with no changes. Is that the key, or am I misunderstanding? Thanks!!
  12. Thanks, guys! I was afraid it likely was something like that. When I saw language saying that it was simple to shift between the two, I thought maybe there was a way of doing so simpler than keeping 1.5 and 2.2 alpha both installed. And, yes, I was thinking of having both 2.5.2 OB and 2.5.0 release available.
  13. And then trying to change to openbeta via DCS_updater, downloading 30 GB of files -- presumably the second time today. There obviously is something I'm not understanding!
  14. Probably obvious, but I'm having difficulty figuring it out. I updated from 1.5.8 open beta to 2.5.2 open beta. No problem! Then I used Skate Zilla's DCS Updater GUI Utility to "Update to Latest Release Version." 15 GB of files downloaded. Called up DCSW and 2.5.0. But I can't seem to switch between the two. And I only see one folder. What am I missing? Any help appreciated!! Daddy Schlich
  15. Waited a day after receiving this error message, and update loaded without a problem! Presumably issued addressed by ED.
