  1. That worked perfect. I just removed the ones I will never buy and now I do not have to click each end to find either my A-10 on one end to my hidden UH-1 at the other end. Just made a backup folder and cut them into it from from /DCS World/DemoMods folder.
  2. Actually, I would be interested also. I use CH Fighterstick, Propedals, CH Throttle. I had a set up for SU-27 mapped out, but would like to see your F-15 setup.
  3. Ok, so whenever Version 2.++ is finished it will be available to all. Regardless of modules owned. Was away six months and reading up on it, and it was starting to sound like I had to buy the Nevada map to get the new version.
  4. Just using this thread to ask a question. When 2.0 is completely done, 2.0 will be available to people who have NOT purchased the Nevada map? I have never had any interest in this map, if I wanted to do training in a non-combat zone like Nevada I would just use FSX A-10 with real weather and munitions addons. Strait of Hormuz is the map I am interested in.
  5. Hehe, "minimal time" if I had a way to keep track of all the time I have spent on flight sims and setting up controls, it would probably show I lost an entire year of my life. Excited too but waiting for full release.
  6. What about the timeline problem? We are looking at 1990-91 are we not? In 1990 if it was SU-27 vs F15c what versions of what missiles were available? In quantities. Would the US still have held back the newest AIM120? Aim-7 in Gulf war, yes AIM120 was available but what version and want quantities. The ER's were not available in large quantities at the time, so the match up should be the non ER version vs AIM 7 and AIM120b no c's. Did they have quantities of 120a in inventory in 1990-91? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_engagements_of_the_Gulf_War I am just asking, as I am working on a plausible 1991 campaign.
  7. Just an Idea, they may still be using R-27R's because of old inventory. It costs quite a lot to get rid of outdated unused ordinance. (One of the reasons for Vietnam and carpet bombing empty jungles was that it would have bankrupted the US to have properly disposed of all the leftover WWII unused GP bombs.) Even in the ground forces they would give you all kinds of extra live grenade fuses for the training grenades and ammo to waste during exercises so they did not have to be properly disposed of or checked back in. I have a question on the R-27ER field date, as I am working on 1991 pre-soviet breakup "plausible" US vs USSR mission. What date was the R-27ER available? Sometimes they are ready for combat but not employed as they saved the newest munitions for the big boys. Like in the Gulf War they had the AIM-120A but never used them they only used the AIM-7 Sparrow. So say July 1991, was the R-27ER available for the USSR vs the US still fielding the AIM-7 Sparrow and the AIM-9L (no p?)
  8. Awesome. I need the Harrier and some actual amphibious/air cushion landing craft and LVTP-7's and a WASP class ship that can use water way-points and carry and unload troops. Then we can create a realistic 1991 MP scenario without these wacky scenarios with all aircraft on both sides. Tactics ect.. may make some happy for MP but I am sure many people do not bother with MP as most of the scenarios mix "realistic" aircraft of sim quality with completely un-plausable scenarios. There is a pretty realistic, balanced and "plausible" Georgia 1991 "What if" MP mission that can be put together but it must leave out the A-10c. The AV-8 can help a little to balance it out further till an MP AH-64 is finished.
  9. The big question for me is, even though the new trees are collidable for objects, will they affect AI LOS for spotting and affect munitions. As it stands now trees do not offer any cover. Hopefully the new terrain and trees improves this aspect of DCS in general. Also, hopefully more time will go into improving CA in general after DCS 2 is released.
  10. I asked this question a while back and did not see an answer. Will ground units be hindered by LOS behind trees, and will rockets and munitions fired from air to ground also be affected by trees, and will it affect target locks/tracking? Will it affect AI seeing through trees for detection?
  11. Wow, a drag-able kneeboard. That is awesome. For me and KA-50 use (using a left-hand monitor) this plus working controls indicator will make it perfect for my use. Once the full release is done for A10C and KA50 is there any chance of adding support for other aircraft or rotary wings?
  12. Confirming UltraMFCD.Beta.1.0.0.71 does not work with Nvidia 352.86 I usually do not install every new driver but had updated them for the Witcher 3. And is the controls indicator bug also a WIP?
  13. Works great for my left hand 2nd monitor. But as was stated it stops the "Show controls indicator" Rctrl+Enter , from displaying which I use in the KA-50. A little fps hungry, but I was able to keep the in-cockpit displays and the displays on left monitor by toning down the 1024 to 512 on the inside and 1/2 fps on the external exported displays. Definitely interested in the finished product.
  14. With that mod, there could be some plausible "What if" Afghanistan scenarios.
  15. That sounds promising. Perhaps after Edge 2.0 is out there will be more focus on CA. I do not post here often, but I must check this site at least 3-4 times a week for any new news.
  16. It can also do 4:3 1024x600, the screen height is 5.8 minus the bezel it should still be bigger than 4.25 which is the MFD cutout size. with 4:3 the resolution might be ok? That would be 800x600? I may get one for a Pi, and see what the MFD exported to it looks like on it
  17. The Lilliputs were always to much for me but recently these in car lcd displays are getting a lot cheaper. There are a lot with the wrong connection types but this one looks like it would work fine it has a hdmi port, so you can go displayport to hdmi. Might work well with the Thrustmaster Pack. Only 68 dollars each. http://www.amazon.com/Tontec%C2%AE-Resolution-Raspberry-Rearview-Headrest/dp/B00OOJPAGW/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1428514369&sr=8-6&keywords=7+inch+lcd What do you think? I am thinking of just getting an ASUS 19.5 Touchscreen instead as it would work for FSX undocked panels, and DCS and other things. edit: hmm as a bonus they would make great screens for Rasberry Pi's, decisions , decisions.
  18. 1 year ago I had a GTX 570HD, I replaced it with EVGA GTX 760 SC. Just replaced the 760 with a new EVGA GTX 970 FTW+ (980 and Titans are out of my reach) If you looking for a great card the new EVGA GTX 970 FTW+ is a lot of bang for the buck. Replaced my card and oced my i7 2600k to 4.5 mostly for Arma III, also replaced my old Crucial M4 with a Crucial MX200 SSD.
  19. It sounds like you have covered all the bases. I would swap out the NIC for the heck of it, try a couple different ones in teaming mode if you can rule out hardware as an issue if you have not already. (I came across a couple thread on latency issues with your NIC in certain configurations) Run Wireshark and keep a log of when the rubber-banding happens to rule out networking hardware issues, Then move on to server or could it just be some sort of DCS compatibility issue?
  20. On the other hand, perhaps if they had fleshed out the cold war aircraft on each side so that we could have some sort of plausible multiplayer then there may have been more in MP. Most of the MP is some pretty unrealistic aircraft match ups, at least on the servers that have more than a few people. I have no idea why someone wants to play a Realistic Sim then have both Soviet/Russian and American aircraft on both sides. About the only thing realistic going on is P-51 vs Dora/109, and Clod does it better.
  21. Win 7 64 bit here also. I tried Win 8.1 but did not like it, ran it on my laptop too but swapped that back to Win 7 64 also. (Had free copy from school account) I will try Win10 for the supposed graphics boost when the time comes better not be a scam like Win Vista and directx 11, lol. Best bet for future may be Win7 64 and Win10 dual boot. edit: ha answered as this was at top again, but it appears a new poll is needed to see how many went to 8.1
  22. OK, yeah I did see the majority of Soviet pilots probably started in L-29/L-39 with jet powered only training from the start with only a few that may have had Yak-52 flight time prior to jet. (but not required for training) Interesting. I was assuming the Soviet flight training may have been similar like the US required T6 time before jet powered.
  23. I kept the Captain Sim Fighter Pilot picture CD, but after moving to another country and back to US I think I ditched the L-39 disk which had the training program as I never though I would install the old FS again Are you positive, I cant see beginner pilots transitioning straight to a jet even L-29 or Yak-130 without having some two seater prop training first? US is T6 Texan>T38>A10 in most cases (1990's) Here is a link these Russian pilots all have Yak-52 time. http://www.incredible-adventures.com/pilots.html It looks like they probably get the Yak-52 training in the Higher Aviation school prior to the next level school which puts them in L-29,L-39, Yak-130
  24. Hello, could someone kindly point me in the right direction for the real world manuals and training programs for the Yak-52 > L-39 > SU-25 track. I found a site selling the L-39 Manual in english and 2 stages of training manuals, I will go that route if I need to, but want the best I can find. I had the Captain Sim L-39 and still have my Fighter Pilot School disk but the original download had a training program and I do not want to install my old FS to find it. For the A-10 I used IRIS T6 and then the Milviz T-38 and managed to get most of real world training up to A10 for it. Is the Virtavia Yak-52 for FSX my only option? YUCK Thanks for your time. Going to get a headstart on training to be ready for L-39  edit NVM on buying, the price was way to high, does Avialogs have anything in english for them?
  25. I cant find the thread, but the magic fix for me was adjusting the fixed aileron trim a couple degrees in the config, it created a much more stable aircraft in flight for me also. I do not know if the current updates changed it?
