I still hope is the trolling of the year in DCS and have an actual plane that can be used online against the mig21. IMHO So far in DCS the WW2 & future Korea series are more usable for combat. I fear they will continue to dumb down the engine to be able to "fight" against other era planes like they did with the mig21.

I don't care for any visual damage at this moment. I do care about the DM specially the penetration model that I think is the problem on this engine. But as someone said, I don't think this should addressed if the simulator is moving to a newer one.

This is a real shame to me... the real fun is fighting against someone that will trick you or assume they will not always do the logic thing. Back on topic: I guess until we don't have a multicrew option we can only speculate. If the RIO is AI needs to be simple and fast with no hassle other than present the tactical situation... like a inset window with the radar scope and you select what to engage than the inset is off.

?! actually the F-104 is the perfect match. Is like the M III or Nasher. If you think that the "medium" range of the MIG 21 is semiactive and engage envelope of 10 km. All this if you are able to have a stable lock and you don't loose into the ground. This is an example:

Assuming the F14 will be done at the same level of the MIG21... I hope we have an opponent with the same level of detail and to me the actual F15/SU27/MIG29 are not in the same level. Not to mention that and f14 will never go against f15 or f18 unless they plan to simulate Iran's F14A with of course with some modifications in the electronics. (Iran / Iraq) So far the the only series that has same level of opponents are the WWII with P51D /FW190 and 109. Soon we will have the MIG 15 against Sabres & P51d. To me it would really nice to have M III, F4, F104s, F100, F1, MIG23. But I know I don't represent the majority.

If the next project is the F14 the next one needs to be and opponent. I know most of the ppl here like SP so they don't care but to me MP is everything.

I guess my English is not clear enough... Do you really think a MIG 21 can compete against 4 phoenix, 2 sparrow and 4 AIM-9 and maybe.. depending the model or the radar Slammers. Not to mention the little AWACs capability of the f14... track 26, attack 6 simultaneously at a distance of over 100 miles.
