  1. try joining a group/squadron/clan etc. Then you will have a group of people that you can get to know and learn with/from. When you join a public multiplayer session it still feels like playing solo since there is little cooperation without TS. There is a list somewhere on these forums of all the squadrons. You can check out flight-sim-fanatics.com though, a very relaxed group that just likes to hang out with each other.
  2. I noticed this too, got a flat on landing after just flying around. Different than being hit and the tire missing. It actually sounded like a flat tire as I coasted down the runway and drifted slightly to the left. When I get shot at and it blows out a tire, you hear screeching and you dramatically veer off to the side.
  3. yesterday me and my buddies were trying out CA and all the updated modules. Every flyable aircraft was available, with about 10 of us joining a 10mb upload server. However only 3 people could stay connected. Everyone else either got "connection interrupted" immediately while trying to join, or 1-2 minutes after being in game. The same person hosted the mission "operation pilot search" and everyone got in to the server just fine (until DCS froze up on everyone... whats new). Could it be an issue with CA and multiple flyable aircraft?
  4. Here is my attempt at takeoff/landing with only the startup tutorial under my belt haha. I probably did everything wrong, but I was just wingin it. I did double check that auto rudder and takeoff assist were off though.
  5. Its probably best to download the full 1.1.1.1 version off the ED website, and use whatever activation key you have to activate it. Easier (and generally better results) than patching. Yes the training missions are in all versions. If you look down in the multiplayer thread, there is a squadron listing for various groups to fly with. Im sure all of them enjoy new people to fly with! I got trackIR a few months ago (upgrade over the free software "FacetracknoIR") and would never fly without it a cockpit is what you sit in when you are flying :)
  6. Am I blind or is the mission link missing?
  7. I can agree that it was the same as default for me as well. Which is odd since so many people rave about his profile on these forums.. maybe I found a bad link
  8. I am 100% happy with my x52 pro. No complaints whatsoever. I use it in DCS A10 and Falcon BMS
  9. you're welcome funkster :) happy landings! and sorry to get a little off topic with the runway headings, its just something that has bothered me for a long time. Ralfidude, which charts are you using? I always feel like Im doing something wrong because no one ever says anything lol. Based on the chart I looked at (and the F10 map in game) every runway heading is off compared to what I get when lined up on the runway. Some are closer than others, but none are what the charts say. Are they supposed to be 6 degrees off? it seems like approach charts would try and give you exact data wouldnt they?
  10. I did not compare them all to real world data, only a select few to see how off they were. I can share the DCS world headings though if you would like.
  11. gotcha thanks, would be cool if they fixed that then
  12. when you say correct heading, do you mean real world? In DCS world I dont think I found a single runway that matched the heading in the available charts
  13. I flew to every airfield and wrote down the actual headings a few weeks ago as I was getting tired of the incorrect headings listed in the available charts. Didnt know it was a bug however..
  14. you actually stowed your bars, meaning you wont see them. Keep them to the left where it says "able". also, if you watch your track again you will see that when you are lined up with the runway you are actually heading 120 (119.5 to be exact). If you tried to line up with 125 you would be way off course. Try doing an ILS landing without using the divert page (which puts the waypoint marker over the runway) and you will see how important those 5 degrees are :)
  15. someone will ask for a track to see exactly what you are/arent doing and then go from there :) also, the heading of the runway is 119.5. the charts that say 125 are wrong
