  1. I think this is the same issue, as it is in 1.5 I wasn't sure whether to put it here or not. Flying the first mission in the SU-27 Mozdok campaign, wingmans flaps clipping with missiles while landing, screenshot attached.
  2. I'll throw in my thanks to the team as well, but will reserve my biggest thank-you for when I'm flying in Nevada. ;) Well done to get this out for us mere mortals. Thanks ED. Mick. :)
  3. "We hope to release an Alpha test version within the next couple of months depending how debugging goes." Just a little clarification please Sith, If I purchase Nevada just now I have to wait until DCS 2.0 comes out before I can play it, so I wouldn't be able to play in November, and it could even be after the new year before I can use it, depending how de-bugging goes? Appreciation in advance, thanks, Mick. :)
  4. Just picked this up today, along with the Su-27. Reading all the good reviews of this campaign I am really looking forward to playing it as I had DCS un-installed. I am currently re-installing right now and hope this will get me into DCS again. The price of $3 each is a steal, IMO. Mick. :)
  5. Hi guys, I was just inquiring to see if anyone has any info on the next CA update? I seem to remember a good while back some chatter about this but it had no ETA,any news on this please? Any info would be appreciated thanks, Mick. :)
  6. I don't think so buddy, nothing mentioned about sling load in the 1.2.7 change log and for multi seat option it looks like that won't be implemented until EDGE comes along. :( I could be wrong though, Mick. :)
  7. I'm not sure if this helps, but looking at that post he is talking about the click and pan method, accessed by pressing left Alt + C. Try pressing left alt+C once or twice while in cockpit in case you have switched it on by accident. Mick. :)
  8. Jeez bud,he only said "IMHO" meaning HIS opinion, looking like you can't have one of those on this forum without getting lambasted for it. IMHO. :( Mick.
  9. And Eno gets the chocolate watch this time. Please tell me where I blame the devs for anything? If you actually read my post I said it was spoiling MY enjoyment, mine all mine, and I think I am well aware of what my "antiquated" system can and can't do M8. Last time I checked an SSD wasn't a required asset, albeit I am aware of the benefits. Obviously I am the only one to ever suffer from these "cheerleading at a funeral" afflictions. :smilewink: Better upgrade then all will be well in the world eh? Mick. :)
  10. Thanks for the tip buddy, never knew that.Time to bite the bullet I think. I do see what ED are trying to do,honest, and it is a really good sim and have definetly had my money's worth, but the bugs and pathetic loading times,re-fly after crash etc,are just spoiling it for me at the moment TBH. Maybe after a healthy upgrade I will fair better, but I think ED has still got loads to get straight to make it enjoyable for all.Just my opinion is all. Cheers, Mick. :)
  11. "So you would prefer that nothing changes? No additional content, no updates, no bug fixes?" Why yes of course, that is exactly what I meant. Chocolate medallion for Sherlock there. :smilewink: Nah,a game that worked well on my shoebox would be great though. Mick. :)
  12. Trying to get back into DCS A-10 and stumbled upon this thread. Was any of this ECM shizz working when the game was released? I remember when I got this when it came out and it ran sweet as butter for me and rarely had any problems with it at all,but now no so much. :( I know it's a little OT and ED are implementing/trying out stuff all the time but I must say for me anyway the game seems a hell of a lot worse now than at release or a few months later. Now after reading about the ECM not working I bet there are other systems that don't work as well as they did, maybe not. Thanks in advance, Mick. :)
  13. Good news for the simming community whatever the outcome, IMO. Looking forward to the KS promo, and following the development of this. No doubt you will have the doubters, even haters, but also the believers. Please O please moderators, don't let this forum even resemble the, dare I say it "Bananna" debacle that was meant to resemble a public forum, stand tough, but I'm sure you knew that already. :smilewink: Anyway, good luck with the project and I wish you all well, Mick. :pilotfly:
  14. Originally Posted by Bigby Wolf, "I LOVE the realism of DCS aircraft, but I'm really looking for more." I totally agree with you bud,and looking at other forums we are not alone. DCS level aircraft are all fine an all,but really, what is the point of bringing all these lovely planes to life if all there is to do is take off, shoot something, and return.Rinse and repeat. It does get rather boring after a while and it is not just DCS,but a good load of the newer games suffer from lack of content.(for want of a better description) Missions are OK sometimes but they are mostly a mix on the same genre which gets old very quick. We are told a dynamic, persistent campaign is unattainable at present, but I fear until something along those lines comes along we are just stuck in the same rut for the next 5 years, maybe? I don't know the answer but I do know I just want a little more than whats out there at present, maybe just getting fed up with gaming in general,I don't know TBH. Lol. Now,Multiplayer is a totally different ball game, fine if you have the time, but most (IMO) prefer to play SP. The missing/lacking storyline/plot from games nowadays is the thing I seem to miss most, I want to FEEL part of something,or that my actions have/cause consequences in the grand scheme. Mick. :(
  15. Open the mission in the editor and change the start time in the briefing. Mick. :)
  16. The mere fact that Wags wrote that they are nearing completion of Nevada, and that it is on course for release later this year, makes it one of the best updates (for me at least) in a wee while. Good job team, keep up the good work and let the updates flow, Mick. :)
  17. If this gets dropped into the Caucasus region it'll be a sin.If it were Nevada,well.......:( Mick.
  18. I realise info about EDGE is scarce, but around 5 weeks ago Wags posted, "In the coming weeks I will also have information and images that I can share regarding the status of the Nevada map, discuss more about EDGE features, and fill you in on other future maps that are already in work or planned." I just hoped, along with probably many others, that we might get some up to date info or screenies in an "update" :music_whistling: Mick. :)
  19. Obviously updates are appreciated, but is there any updates when we're going to get an EDGE update, please? Mick. :)
  20. Heh, heh, tried this mission last night and was failing miserably, I ended up changing the distance from leader from 100m to 500m but still failed at the exact same point as you. :) Maybe need to make it a few km. Lol. Mick.
  21. Heat blur is now off when I fly the Huey, before it was on regardless, Mick. :)
  22. The whole folder TimeKilla. Cheers TurboHog, just tested and works a treat, Mick. :)
  23. Noticed the heat blur is off when I select off.Was this fixed in this update or last? Not sure, but good to see nonetheless. Also seems like the sound is different somehow when flying,is this just me? Could someone else confirm please, maybe just placebo effect, but definitely sounds different, not saying it's bad, just different. Good to see the updates coming thick and fast though, Mick. :)
  24. I'm not exactly sure what they plan for these planes inside FC3 once they release the separate modules, maybe someone else could clarify for ya. Here is a little snippet from the 7th May update regarding this. "In addition to the never-ending quest for DCS perfection (yes, we have dreams too),we are working on releasing the F-15C Eagle and Su-27 Flanker for DCS World later this year. Both of these aircraft will have the same detailed 3D models, cockpits and sounds of the Flaming Cliffs 3 versions, but we will be adding an Advanced Flight Model (AFM) for each. We also want to release these aircraft in such a manner to allow users that are not interested in Flaming Cliffs 3, or do not have a Lock On installation, to still have these aircraft in their DCS World stable of aircraft, but at a greatly reduced price." Mick. :)
