Hallo zusammen Diese Woche führte die Schweizer Luftwaffe eine Übung (Alpha Uno) mit den F/A-18 durch, bei der Starts und Landungen auf einem Teilstück der Autobahn in der Nähe von Payerne durchgeführt wurden. Da diese neuen bzw. verbesserten Zünder Einstellungen für mehrere Module implementiert werden (F-16C, F/A-18C und A-10C), poste ich dieses Video von Wags hier. Auf die Kola Karte freue ich mich grundsätzlich sehr, bin aber gleichzeitig auch von orbx enttäuscht. Es wird ein Teaser veröffentlicht, der ziemlich genau nichts aussagt, ausser dass bald mehr kommt. In 5 Tagen erscheint die Karte und wir haben noch sehr wenig davon gesehen. Wie Air Joker richtig gesagt hat, bloss weil die 15 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Flugsimulationen haben, muss das genau gar nichts bedeuten. Ich hätte mir da ganz klar mehr erhofft, nicht zuletzt auch um die Vorfreude zu steigern. Wahrscheinlich werden wir am 03.05. einen Video zur Veröffentlichung zu sehen bekommen. Auch hier im Forum ist orbx kaum oder gar nicht aktiv. Auf deren eigener Homepage wird die Kola Karte nicht einmal unter der Rubrik “comming soon“ angekündigt. Eagle Dynamics bzw. DCS wird auch unter Partner nirgends erwähnt. Irgendwie etwas seltsam. Versteht mich nicht falsch: Ja, ich freue mich sehr auf die Kola Karte und als ED im vergangenen Jahr orbx als neuen Drittanbieter vorgestellt hat, waren meine Freude und Erwartungen gross. Sie ist eine tolle Ergänzung zu dem, was wir bisher haben. Am Freitag wissen wir mehr, meine Vorfreude wurde zwischenzeitlich etwas getrübt. Trotzdem freue ich mich auf die Karte und die Videos, die nach dem Erscheinen der Karte folgen werden.

This could have been worth a note in the mini update thread, so that everyone is aware that the F/A-18 was taken out of early access. Anyway, this is really good news and I am looking forward to futher improvements/additions [emoji1303]

I don‘t understand why so many here are worried to pay more if they buy the map piece by piece. Especially as it is not meant to buy the whole map in 3 parts. It is meant for people who doesn’t have the condition (for whatever reason) to buy the whole map and therefore buy only one or two parts. If I go to the supermarket and I buy 3x 0.5l of, for example, a cola, I also pay more when I buy a 1.5l bottle. It‘s absolutely legitimate for ED to try new experiences. So be fair and give them a chance!

Es ist ein schwieriges Thema und ich finde, dass dies hinter den Kulissen zwischen Razbam und ED ausgehandelt werden muss. Genau dies hat Nick Grey auch gesagt und dass sie alle darant interessiert sind, das Problem zu lösen. Mehr möchte ich dazu auch nicht sagen. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass in unserem aller Interesse, dieses Problem baldmöglichst gelöst werden kann.

Does the F/A-18 also benefit in any way of the improvements of INS/GPS from the Viper?

Ich finde es gut und absolut Legitim, dass ED verschiedene Optionen prüft und einführt. Man darf eines nicht vergessen: Nicht alle haben dieselben Finanzielle Möglichkeiten, DCS zu spielen. Wenn für mich 48 USD nicht viel sein mögen, mag es für jemand viel zu sein und muss vielleicht notgedrungen von der Option absehen, sich eine Karte zu kaufen!

Aus genau diesem Grund habe ich mich schlussendlich für einen 38 Zöller Curved Bildschirm entschieden. Ich finde, man darf die Höhe nicht unterschätzen. Ich bin mit meinen Bildschirm total zufrieden.

I also think so. A global map makes sense if you fly a bomber and have to fly thousands of miles into the target area. Whereas a spherical map “merge“ some smaller maps to a much bigger map, say middle east, east europe etc. We have to wait to get more information in a future newsletter on this topic.

Und es ist generell schwieriger, genügend öffentliche Informationen zu bekommen, um auch modernere Versionen der Red Force abzubilden. Wir können froh und dankbar sein, dass es überhaupt eine Mig-29A gibt.
