  1. The 'Right Stuff' from the russian side in the race to the first man's walk in space. An amazing and really great movie !
  2. Hi Folks, here is a story I read yesterday. In my opinion, it fits the thread's title and I thought I could share it here since it is geography (topography ?) dependent but not only. "In late October 2008 in northwestern Afghanistan, six members of a Marine Special Operations Team were minutes away from being overrun by Taliban fighters. Surrounded by a larger enemy force, the Marines had called for air support, but dense cloud cover over the valley the Marines were trapped in was making it impossible for Navy F/A-18s to reach them. For a minute, it looked like all would be lost, until two A-10s arrived, flown by pilots who risked their own lives to save the Marines’, just as night began to fall. The narrative below is based on official statements from Marines in addition to an extensive interview with one of the Hog pilots, all of whom might not have lived to tell the tale.... " Continue and enjoy reading here : http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/how-two-a-10-pilots-saved-a-group-of-marines-who-were-c-1806510162

  6. @ Pilotasso : I was just like you until I discovered this last friday night. I have never even thought that it was possible since I was naively thinking that aerobatics meant necessarily good visibility conditions. So I thought it would be good to share. Here is a link to the TV channel website, unfortunatly in french only, but still worths a look : http://www.aerostar.tv/replay/ Laurius
  7. Dear All, Everybody likes Air shows, right ? But what about Night Air shows ?? Hoping you'll enjoy. ;)
  8. This link pretty sums it all up : http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34814203 The number of at least 40 people dead seems apparently confirmed. But the situation is still evolving at the moment. :noexpression:
  9. Hi, I think this is what you're looking for : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138241&highlight=lilkiki

  11. @ VBARhino : Those shots are indeed amazing ! One of them will be definitely my new wallpaper !
  12. Hi Ange, It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks for sharing.
  13. It's indeed hard to tell but personally I would finally vote for the second one, the one in the link you gave. Framing is somewhat better, plane is bigger and the wing vortices on that clear blue sky are really gorgeous (the sky itself looks much nicer).
  14. C@sper : it almost looks like a real photograph ! DCS 1.5 is really stunning !
  15. Smart missiles and bombs Russia uses to take out ISIS in Syria @ Emu : Your last video cannot be seen :( Otherwise, I thought this might be of interest. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=005_1444054243
  16. Hi Folks, I've just watched "Star Fighter" this evening on a streaming website. This movie is about the story of the famous Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, bought by the Federal Republic of Germany in the mid 60's, and the reputation that got her named "the widowmaker". Although, the movie is quite romanced, I found it interesting to watch and I really enjoyed it since I haven't seen time passing by. Unfortunatly, I could not find any English trailer : I hope you'll be able to enjoy it as I did.
  17. @ Namenlos Ein : That's somehow a masterpiece ! Now, here's a genious ! ;)
  18. Hi, Are you using Sweet FX through JSGME ? Every udpates reset every manually modified folders. It's just an idea I have at the moment. Laurius
  19. Hi Everyone, French Air Force has made its first air strikes against IS in Syria this morning. http://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/middle-east/france-launches-air-strikes-against-islamic-state-in-syria-1.2368337 I wish you all a happy sunday. Laurius
  20. Hi Sgt Baker, I finally jumped in your App few days ago, for exporting both MFDs and I really love it !! Though it took me some fps down, it's still very enjoyable and I could recover this damn sun glare which I've lost by editing my monitorsetup.lua to make my Lilliputs work long time ago (speaking for A-10C mainly). By the way , something is a bit strange. As I don't need the kneeboard, I have to uncheck the corresponding box each time I start your App. Otherwise, everything else is perfect so far. A last word, reverting back to the 347.52 Nvidia driver was also an important thing. Glad you mentioned it on your website. Thank you for this amazing App !! A happy user !
  21. I had to change my GC (EVGA GTX 560) which died in july this year, and I knew this would happen one day or another ;) I replaced it with an EVGA GTX 970. I pushed everything up (except CIV) and I felt exactly like you ! @ WilBillKelsoe : To answer your question : it does. Especially with CBU-105 where my fps dropped from around 50 fps down to less than 5 during sub-munitions explosion ! DCS 1.5 (2.0) I'm waiting for you !! Have a nice day Regards Laurius
  22. Hi, Since now Mirage 2000C by RAZBAM is available for pre-purchase, I thought I could post this video. I searched the forum but found nothing related to it, though I'm sure it has already been posted here, somewhere. My apologies if so. Anyway, here it goes ! ;)
