  5. Hey ericinexile, at least your target showed some indication of manouvering - real or lag related. My target (SU33 on TG server) was flying "on rails" - no jinking/f-polling -nothing! He was at around 15k feet, I was at 46 - first slammer fired in TWS at around 27nm (for good measure), another slammer at 18nm - I was descending rapidly, throttle idle, popping flares (against these magical ETs;) ) No radar lock from his side (possibly IRST) My radar track was never broken (surprize!) - still switched to STT and... Another slammer at 6, another at 4 Head on aspect all the way. And... there it is - external view of Khersones:noexpression: :doh: I never armed these darn missiles! yea, that`s what it was.:joystick: PS, he got me with ETs - of course.
  6. Slightly OT: Don`t they have barriers midfield, approach and departure end of the runway at Sherman Field? - probably would have helped...

I have an idea how to simulate effects of G`s: A set of straps running from your hemet (of course, you have to wear one) and sleeves to a system of pulleys controlled by elec. motors and interfaced with the software... Every time you pull 8 or 9 G, the straps would yank your cranium toward your lap, your sleeves would be pinned down to your armrests and... Oh, there`s still blood in your head, hmm... I know - a collar around your neck...
  8. I "think" what could also add up to tha lag problem is all kinds of mods and scripts running on some servers... anything from ATC to whoknowswhat. As far as PrtScr and other tricks... I got used to it.:joystick: Yesterday, when flying on "some" server I came to a conclusion that I`d be better off without any missiles. 50% fuel and GUNZ. Flying low and trimming crimean trees and occasional SU33... I nailed one but it wasn`t recognized by "some" server... oh well, back to RL.
  9. Lol, you disected that one Edible Socks... I liked this clip... was wondering tho - blinking indexer (or was it something else?) during the last part of a carrier approach (in the sim)? It was probably his first sim approach:) , jk Maybe it`s supposed to blink...
  10. Civilian air traffic during a serious conflict over Crimea - I don`t think so.

On a slightly different note (although closely related to missile performance in game): It would be very helpful for a shooter of any missile in lockon if ED tried to eliminate these lag inducing tricks when playing online. I`ve seen it over and over... Starting the fight at high alt. TWS, descending, going STT, getting tally, firing my last slammer and... seeing a target box jump 30 deg. Then, there are these "mods"... I`ve seen some weird stuff on couple of servers recently. One that really cracked me up was an A50 moving at hypersonic speeds and changing directions in a radical way (when I got close to it:joystick: ) and so on...

  14. The AA and aniso part of the drivers didn`t work that good on my evga 7950. Shimmering textures and jaggies almost as if AA and AS were disabled. I went back to the drivers that came with the card (73.47) and everything looks good again. I run AA at 4x and aniso 16x. (1980x1080 on a 42" screen:D )
  15. What exactly Precaching "around" objects does? "around" camera I kinda understand... I think.
  16. I did have similar issues... so for now, I keep my crippled, slow dvd drive on my lockon rig (got 2 other comps on my net)... just in case:smartass: I`ve heard enough complaints and not just online...

  18. Guys, crime is talking about indicated a/s which "indicates" how your a/c will perform when flying through different densities of air...
  19. If you use Procaff, assign affinity to Hyperlobby - it will open LO with the same setup. There is no need for Procaff if you use AMD dual core optimizer.
