  1. I have tried times too many to count to change the location of the smoke generator as was recommended: DCSWorld>CoreMods>aircraft>Hawk>Hawk.lua pylon(3, 0, 0.000000, 0, 0.000000, -- Updated for gun pod I have plugged in values into each of those coordinates and even put in exaggerated values to try to get some sort of response with no results. Does anyone out there know what the H*** I'm doing wrong?

    Pilot Textures

I've been repainting the Hawk pilot templates to the team uniform and personalized faces. I noticed that the textures defaulted to the F-15 pilot when ejected as I needed to get the pilot out of the aircraft, mask off and standing (I've done the same with the Mustang). Was hoping to create a "class picture" someday with all standing in front of the aircraft. I assume the "final" release will have all pilot textures totally self-contained in the Hawk files- correct? And also, the F-15 helmet texture shows just the half, only allowing for symmetrical helmet designs as opposed to that of the Hawk which allows for asymmetrical coloration (which I'm going to need). Will the Hawk pilot/helmet textures as they are now be retained throughout the pilot being in and out of the aircraft? Thanks!
  3. Fourthed!... got some great skin ideas awaiting... also been flying the hell out of the '86 and enjoying it immensely... Thanks Belsimtek!!!
  4. It is SO good to lower the landing gear with the landing gear lever now!!!... I found another positive trait of the GUI --- It can be "hot-started", meaning that if you forget to load the GUI or forgot to open the proper profile, you can Alt-tab out of the game load the GUI or open the proper profile, bring the game back up, and everything works!!... that little warning bell will ring if you test the lever/button response before bringing the game back up, but it doesn't indicate any harm done ----sweet!;)
  5. v1.13 works like a charm... good stuff! and thanks!
  6. *set notepad to open PUP files--- The requisite steps again: 1- downloaded v8 zip 2- extracted v8 zip into desktop folder 3- copied+pasted v8 folder into resident location 4- sent ProUsbPanels to shortcut on desktop - Upon double-clicking shortcut, GUI immediately comes up (no more "object reference" warnings and 3+ clicks). - GUI responds to panel's inputs - Switch profiles work in-game (DCS) - Menu now appears in its place - GUI can be resized from all sides - I discovered that v8 GUI now remembers profile used from last closure (don't know if that's desirable or not ??) ...will definitely keep you posted on anything else I find or comes up! Looks like we have a winner!:pilotfly:... ArturDCS... YOU DONE GOOD!!!
  7. Tried to start from scratch on this one: 1- Downloaded v7 2- extracted v7 zip into folder on desktop 3- uninstalled LibUsbDotNet 4- copied&pasted v7 folder to permanent resident location 5- uninstalled switchpanel driver 6- plugged the switchpanel's USB and let windows recognize and install driver automatically: 7- installed LibUsbDotNet from v7 folder, full installation, all blocks checked (of course, "don't create start menu" remained unchecked) 8- sequence of warnings clicked "yes" on all: 9- next came to the filter installer: 10- @ the filter installer, could not find the device on the list, so I cancelled: 11- from v7 folder sent ProUsbPanels icon to desktop as shortcut. 12- experienced the came clicking sequence and same warnings as stated in previous post about v6. 13- However, GUI responds to real-world switch and knob movement. For now, I'm assuming the profiles will work until previous issues are explained of cleared... also GUI is missing menu items in upper left-hand corner:
  8. In my enthusiasm over getting the switchpanel working for the first time I neglected to report other "odd things" (if they are indeed odd) that have occurred... I used versions 2, 3, 4 & 6 and they all work. 1- When I initially installed the GUI (v2), I extracted the downloaded zip into a folder on desktop and installed the LibUsbDotNet. 2- I then double-clicked the ProUsbPanel icon and brought up the GUI, which followed the motion of my controls in cockpit. I then loaded the keystrokes for the landing gear and it worked in-game. *first odd thing-- When I double-clicked on the ProUsbPanel icon this message came up: ...and it took 3 clicks on OK to bring up the GUI. 3- I then copied-and-pasted the v2 folder to its permanent residence on another drive and sent a ProUsbPanels shortcut to desktop from that folder's location. *GUI works the same with same sequence of that warning and clicks to get to the GUI. I then started creating profiles which brought me to the post of 1/13/14.* 4- When installing subsequent versions, all I did was delete the previous version folder, replace it with the new version and update the version number in the "start in" and "target" properties if the shortcut on desktop. 5- Now with v6, I did exactly the same thing, replacing the folders and updating the shortcut (then i saw you has a neat new one,so i sent it to desktop:smilewink:)---> Now when I double-click the shortcut, it takes 4 clicks to get through the same above warning, but on the 4th click, this warning and the the GUI come up simultaneously (hides behind the GUI) However, things still work. Sorry about the long write, but want to give you as full a picture as possible on what I did, right or wrong...
  9. the new v4 GUI can't be minimized as were the previous versions
  10. Graphic cleared up in v4... also found that those entries like "END", RALT", "LCONTROL", etc that don't enter together with the keystroke, or don't want to enter at all, can be gotten around by entering something that does enter, and going back with notepad in the profile created and entering it manually according to the key code list provided earlier in this thread.
  11. Finally! I am able to use everything in my cockpit!... Thank you for your work! Will be giving this a full testing tomorrow, just had time to test the landing gear knob...the first problem I came across, though, was the graphic... the labeling was cut off: also, I haven't explored it fully, the letter "C"seems not to work with "LCont" Aside from the graphic, will give this a full "wring-out" tomorrow.... Thanks again!!!
  12. just before the holidays, here is as far as I have been able to get: I believe the drivers are in place... I also went to the given Java site but couldn't find a JRE v7 (probably it was 'wagging its tail' right in front of my eyes) and also cannot find a "start.bat"
  13. way way behind the times... Hello! I've also bought the Saitek Switch Panel (couldn't believe they'd make a piece of equipment for just ONE sim only) and have been waiting for something like this for a long time... however... I have read the entire sequence of this thread many times and am still lost... I sincerely wish I had grown up with this stuff:cry:... Do I understand rightly that you are making a "one step" installation application?... and this would cause DCS to recognize the switch-panel as just another game controller? No matter what, MANY THANKS for your work!
  14. ...this would probably be better in a "wish list", but... Has any of the Mustang staff considered developing any of the "razor-back" types? Especially I consider the P-51C (Mustang MkIII) w/ Malcom Hood to be one of the most beautiful versions of the Mustang. ...Would be nice to see one !!!
  15. Stands to reason... if an aircraft is just sitting on the flightline with no intention of flying, would look funny with a mannequin just sitting in it... I agree
