  1. Thank you Moonshine , i have been trying to figure this out for days now.
  2. Hi. I was watching a training video on how to make offsett aim points using the TGP. When using the TGP you make a SPI, and then by pressing OSB-10 you change from STP to OA1 (offset aimpoint 1) and then make another SPI so you can cycle two targets. This seems like a very handy method to cycle targets within a single SPI as far as i understand it. And you can even have two offset aimpoints so total 3 targets withing a single SPI if you want. But when i try to replicate this it does not work, i just stays in STP and does not give me OA1 on the MFD. what im doing wrong here, or have i just misunderstood offset aimpoint functionabillity? Regards Foxl
  3. Thank you all! Its been a few nights trying to figure all this out. so this means when gun selected in AG there are no way to free the TGP, its just boresighted.
  4. I cant cycle modes when in AG gun, i have NWS binded but still cant. do you have to select a special gun mode for this? so the tgp is always locked to the gun pipper, at least i understand that now.
  5. Hello again. I know what happens now, after i fire my mavericks i always switch to gun. In AG mode with gun selected i cant slew the tgp its locked in SP mode? is it not possible to slew the target pod and designate targets when gun is selected? Allso is there a faster way to go to gun in AG other than pressing the buttons on the MFDs?
  6. Thanks for all the tips! i will try again tonight all that has been suggested here and hopefully figure it out, i will report back what the issue was.
  7. It seems like it goes out of ground stabalize mode and, just moves all over the place when i manuver the aircraft. and i get get it out of this mode without power off the station
  8. Hi, Im having some issues with the target pod, i have set up a simple mission for practice with mavericks. A few trucks and bmps take out the two bmp with maverick D version and trucks with gun On my way to the target i boresight mavericks and use auto pre mode. But after my last maverick is fired the target pod gets stuck and i cant move it no matter what i do? I have to power of the station to reset the whole pod, the good old *swedish button* if it dont work turn it off and on again. Is there a better and faster way to do this? even if i reset pod back to steerpoint i cant move it. thanks.
  9. Its the f16 for me, i find the hotas and weapons/radar easy to understand. I also have the Thrustmaster A10 hotas stick and throttle so it fits the bill, at least the joystick. and the pvp playstyle going fast and slinging amraams i just love it. i dont care about long legs etc as it dont matter to much the way I play. I never/rarely do long missions in DCS so the raw power of the f16 fits me perfect. Maybe my opinion would be different if we had the superhornet instead of the legacy. im not sure how that performs maybe too classified.
  10. Hi. Did something change after patch, i cant soft lock anymore in rws mode? i have to push TMS up twice to get the target on my HUD. but then he knows i am locking him? Thanks for help
  11. Now that would bring me back to much more dcs ww2 for sure!!
  12. The answer should be simple, we have late war german aircraft so we should also have later variants off the mustang. Anyways, im waiting for the P51 mustang in the ´´other`` ww2 sim. Going to be interesting to see what kind is modeled there. My guess is there will be engine variants.
  13. The matchup it also not fair or so historical accurate, the k4 is a late 1944 aircraft and we have a early 1944 P51 engine boost. Here's the problem with DCS P51D: The plane is limited to 67"hg of manifold pressure, a setting that was used with 100/130 octane fuel for like 2 months when the early P51D blocks was introduced into service, after ward it was raised to 70"hg of manifold pressure. But for most it's service life, USAAF P51D ran at 75"hg with 150 octane fuel, and British Mustang IV ran on 81"hg(and many USAAF pilots ran on this setting). http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/mustang/75inch-clearance-v-1650-7.jpg http://www.spitfireperformance.com/mustang/combat-reports/353-hinchey-14nov44.jpg Pacific USAAF P51Ds ran at 80"hg with 115/145 octane fuel. Here's the unhistorical thing: The P51D we have a in game is a late version of the P51D, indicated by the presence of the tail fin, tail radar. There's no reason for it to be limited at 67"hg, it should run at 75"hg at the very least. So we have a very underpowered P51 against the latest models 109s and 190s with MW50 boost, i dont know why. And its not a good matchup i think in this late war scenario.
  14. Just a question. Was it not much harder to find documents on the Bf109 K4 and FW190 D9? given their rarity and so few was produced and used in combat? Compared to the P47 that still fly at air shows etc, the current P51 was based on a plane that someone in the ED company owns if i remember correct? cant the same be done on the P47 if someone who owns one want to share that information.:pilotfly:

    Rotor RPM

So started flying the huey again, i also fly alot of helicopter in my work (passenger though) because i work offshore on a platform. we use the S-92. so im just having fun trying to fly as we fly out there. But back to the question, how does the rpm work, you set the throttle twist grip to full and never adjust it again in a real helicopter? then the collective up and down adjust the rpm or only the pich of the blades, and the rpm always stays the same?

    72"

will this also include removal of the double antenna mast and the mast under the plane? from what i know this was used in the pacific theatre not europe.
  17. Hi. How do you guys beat the f86 ai in DCS 1.5? I give him 100% fuel, i take 40% fuel, still he does everything better. he out climbs me and can catch me even if im 2km away in a climb. He also fires from 1km away and hits me?
  18. Great shots! What an amazing module the mig15 annd f86 are.
  19. I realy like the gun sight if set up to correct range and wingspan its very easy to shot, i use the fixed as well as the gyro. But the fix sight i use just the little cross, turn off the whole circle thing, they work great togheter, and i never overheat today i flew 20min full throttle and even WEP, just full open rad manualy and reduse throttle in dives to cool off and never climb to steep. I dont like the 109 because of the trim, kan only trim +2 so it hurts my hand having to push on my joystick all the time.
  20. As i remember the map will be small, england is not included so no forming up over the channel or long range escort missions.
  21. what a great guide, thank you
  22. Hi. I can`t contact the ground crew to request eletrical power. Do i need this for starting up the mig? When i try the engine starts spooling for 5 sec then shuts off, and i can not start it again...
  23. oh really, thanks for the info. maybe they will remove them when the normandy map comes out then
  24. yes *blade antenna* probably, never heard this before, you can see it on the P51 wallpaper in the main menu as well. But i have never seen this on any pictures. I just wanted to know what this is, and what its for? And if its a war time thing mabye? Its right infront of the coolant intake, *underneath* the plane ;)
  25. i could take a screen shot, but its present at the main screen as well if you set the P51 as wallpaper.
