  1. I'm considering adding seperate transducer directly to my stick and throttle. The plan for the stick is to modifly effects specifically for stick as oopposed to one huge bass shaker I have under my seat to have general frame vibrations. I came up with this design for my 80mm extension. I'm planning to add this 25W 50mm transducer on separate channel. Actually I'm about to print this. Anyone tried something like that before?
  2. I was referred to the manual and I think the only way to do it at the moment is to edit every single file in audio software. Create and edit another channel and adjust volume levels like that. I imagine this will take a lot of time and some trial and error.
  3. I maybe do not understand. I wish to be able to adjust different strength of effects on second channel, or switch some of them off. How do I do that?
  4. I have one 50W transducer under my seat which works extremely well, cant imagine flying without effects now. I was wondering since audio module can differentiate between mono, stereo an 5.1 cards if there are any plans to add more channels to output. I know this is going to complicate things a lot but would love to be able add more speakers to my setup and have ability to tune volumes of effects separately. I'm toying with idea of adding one to stick directly but would only want specific effects to it.
  5. I'm trying to make use of the rocker keys on MFDs (which some of them have no function in A10C) but I understand these can only be edited in LUA files. Now the problem I cannot locate the file for A10c2. I searched folders in program files and saved games but there is no config for MFDs in there. I found that planes with not default configs for MFDs have their config files in saved game folder but not for A10c2. Any help please
  6. Hello. I'm currently on 1.3.9.1 and flying A10C. All effects are working fine apart of flaps which would stop working mid mission while the rest of the effects continue working fine. Any ideas?
  7. Thanks! I will run some more tests and report back.
  8. Its been bothering me for quite a while. I believe that TAD is not oriented correctly and instead it is rotated a few degrees anticlockwise. See the below two images. On the first one I'm flying dead on towards my waypoint and I believe the flight path line on TAD should go straight at 0 degrees top to bottom but instead its at the angle. On second I tried to point the plane so the line on TAD actually goes straight but then the heading on the HUD is way off. Can someone tell me if there is something I don't understand here or the TAD is rotated. https://imgur.com/a/sJ3xRC6 https://imgur.com/a/qNRloNi
  9. I'm facing similar issue (A10C). MFDs darker then on main display but when switch view to outside screens change to correct brightness/contrast. Meanwhile as a workaround I upped the gamma in the Nvidia screen settings for my MFDs.
  10. A-10 - Sturmovik - campaign. Great campaign so far but I need help. Mission 9. Getting discovered probably because flying too high. I'm pretty sure I'm flying low enough in the valley. What is the max alt to avoid detection? THX Edit: Nevermind, managed to beat the mission:)
  11. So how well does Asynchronous Space Warp work in DCS? Display fps counter with the shortcut LCtrl+LAlt+Pause. If its locked at 45 and you see no judder that means ASW is already working. Try to cycle options with the below shortcuts: CTRL+Numpad1: Disable ASW, go back to the original ATW mode (this situation we've had until today) CTRL+Numpad2: Force apps to 45Hz, ASW disabled (completely no warping - judder!) CTRL+Numpad3: Force apps to 45Hz, ASW enabled (ASW always On) CTRL+Numpad4: Enable auto-ASW (that should be default)
  12. So how well does Asynchronous Space Warp work in DCS? wow I just paused the game to type this. Holy bananas what a difference! Game changer for me. No more ATW ghosting on the objects. Applied SS x1.8 and got stable 45fps and its smooth as butter. Thanks to shortcuts (Ctrl+num1, Ctrl+num2, Ctrl+num3, Ctrl+num4) ASW can be compared to ATW and OFF. Really amazing!
  13. So how well does Asynchronous Space Warp work in DCS? On mobile too this can be big for DCS. I understand we can run the sim at 45fps without any judder. And it works now for Nvidia users now: In in order to use ASW registry key needs to be created and then set to 1. Step by step HERE
  14. Good comparison, thanks. I think its worth to mention the pricing too. It makes a lot of difference. From our angle buying HMD with motion controls make no sense as Hotas is all you need atm or at least until good hand tracking become available.
  15. The project is not dead. It was only in minor hibernation :-) I expect some more extensions to be available later this summer. Cheers!
  16. Check your CPU performance by each thread. I'm pretty much sure one thread will be pegged at 95-98%. My overall CPU usage was around 25% until I checked this. DCS is really hard on CPU so my 6700K is really struggling @4.8 (one thread at 98%) atm while 980TI sits at around 60%. I'm able to get pretty stable 90fps with everything on low but only in FC3 planes sadly. Still low pass over Vegas in F15 knocks my socks off even at low settings.
  17. Just to confirm. I'm having low frame rates too. Similar to you guys I have fairly strong rig at the moment 6700K @4.7, 980Ti @1500 and experiencing performance issues in 1.5 and also NTTR as well. I set everything to low and still frames drop quite frequently to 45fps which is the result of ATW kicking in. I really was hoping to get at least stable 90 with this setup but nope. The biggest pain IMHO is to observe how excellent and fluid everything is at 90 and how slightly blurry it goes when the performance drops. Don't get me wrong, I love how ATW still keeps the head movement judder free but I wish that the framerates were a bit better. Hopefully ED is still tweaking the engine so we can get some performance boost.
  18. Oculus Rift and DCS World Discussion Sorry guys about the delay. I had my eye on the ball and ordered +6min23sec after launch and mine is arriving today yay. I will report back my experience.
  19. Thanks! My son is already infected with sim bug. lol
  20. Oculus Rift and DCS World Discussion Boys at reddit did some testing with Elite Dangerous. Below is the gif comparison of magnified part of the screens (pic through the lens). It pretty much confirms the theory the Rift sacrifices a bit FOV for the benefit of clarity and sharpness. http://m.imgur.com/Pcjor02?r Disclaimer: I posted these for the sake of discussion and not to inflate recent tensions in this thread. Lets chill and enjoy VR :)
  21. Oculus Rift and DCS World Discussion Fantastic job ED! If anyone wants to read more CV1+DCS reports check out reddit: Edit: Any news about 2.0alpha support?
  22. But the problem with these games (actually more like experiences) is to wow you and thats it. How many tines can you go through the same 10 mins demo -low replayability. The DK2 was development kit - rough around edges at times. CV1 one is completely different story.
  23. Oculus Rift and DCS World Discussion Yes rift spec check is lacking. It just checks your system and pretty much compare it with the list on approved/tested components. Its more like yes/no test. For the testing of your VR potential Steam's test is much better because it runs actual render test and then analyzes the outcome. If your friend is really annoyed with the blue info bar about incompatible cpu tell him to change the cpu name in registry. Its a work around but the issue will be probably addressed by Oculus in the near future. Oculus just released Home platform so a lot of functions needs polishing. I still believe that for the sake of using the HMD purely for simming Rift is better choice. One, its cheaper. You dont need wands and roomscale so no point to overpay. Also after purchase feel free to sell xbox controller and it will increase the price gap even more. Second - Asynchronous Timewarp. We really going to need this. It will compensate for frame drops. Vive doesn't have that function at the moment. It has something similar but its subpar in comparison.
