They’re working on global DCS illumination for 2.5.6 as Oceander just said. In the future (not sure if it’s for the next release or not) but they will be working on multiple light sources as well, which I’m totally looking forward to. It’ll look amazing on the ramp at night with shadows coming from different directions.

Not sure about the unplug/replug thing. As for the mic, do check that the sound icon in the taskbar says that you’re listening through your rift s BEFORE you start Vaicom. Also check in Windows Contro, Panel/ Sound that your mic is selected

It’s ok, I got it. I did actually try your suggestion without luck though. I reinstalled the new up to date software (which for some reason did not detect my axis last night) and created a new profile. So now all I have to do is remap everything - but at least it works. And I’m happy about that. Cheers

Hi, my base has been working perfectly for ages now until I did something wrong in the software. So every aircraft in DCS World started rolling to the left. In the calibration software it showed as being off centre left, so I tried re-centring it without luck. Not sure what I’ve done but now neither of the axis register in the software or windows (just to check) control set up. All the buttons work but not the axis. I’ve contacted Virpil but I think it’s their Christmas so not holding out for a response for a while Any ideas? Thanks All

I 'm sure I read that when the Lightening pods were fitted most Pave Penny pods were not removed because of budget cuts, system is redundant though. Snoopy on the forums may pipe in with a more accurate answer.

I guess if it’s along the lines of what ED are doing a the moment - free upgraded model and textures (which are really showing their age (especially the cockpit textures and those awful external light reflections) and then paid airframe upgrade, then yes I would. Love my Huey.

I read years ago that in a lot of the A’s, the glove vanes were usually just deactivated from the system rather than removed due to cost constraints.

Ok, so I updated today and now the radar reticle is flashing half the time, I can’t select the magics only the 530, both the tdc slews and the tws switch work in the options but not on the radar itself and I can’t get he radar to see more than 80. Not flown in a few weeks so I don’t know of there has been a change in procedure. A bit frustrating to say the least. Anybody else having this issue?

It’s been asked hundreds of times before, I’m afraid. The likelihood that there will ever be a pilot body in the A-10C is extremely low imho. None of the ED staff don’t even entertain questions on it anymore. I soo wish there was but the fact is the module is now 10 years old or more and there never was a pilot body. Which is shame is most other modules now or soon will have a pilot body.

Ok, so my problem is that the skin shows up in the drop down menu but the thumbnail skin isn't on the aircraft or when I start the mission. Any ideas? It's obviously pointing at the right place for it to show up if it's there right? The same goes with other skins for different aircraft. Not sure where to go from here. Folder named FA-18C_hornet in Saved games doesn’t work at all. Only when I change it to FA-18C does it load skins but not any of my new ones Cheers EDIT Ok, so for the most part, rebooting the pc made most appear, apart from the hornet skins

I'm skint and it's Christmas so this has got to go! I've got another anyways. Fully working - a bit of cosmetic damage to left lever (must have hit my chair on it or something - can't remember. Just the usual wear - throttle levers with a touch of play which is normal, left pinky light switch is very slightly loose - always been the same. Fully working - bit of a squeek on the pinky switch which never bothered me, just needs an oiling.
