  1. +1 for this thread.. ever since the last couple Open Beta patches, this problem has been happening to me as well. about 90% of the time, if I switch to F10 from cockpit view, or switch to any other view, other than cockpit, DCS crashes SteamVR. I'm glad that I'm not the only person having this issue. I also checked the Steam Discord and have seen similar posts regarding this issue recently. I have an i7 9700k at 3.60GHz, 32GB ram, GeForce RTX 2080 with 8GB ram and an HP Reverb. DCS is the only sim that crashes Steam VR on my system. I can fly IL2 for hours, changing views constantly, no issues. Try to fly DCS, change to F10 one or two times, and SteamVR crashes. I have reloaded my sim rig 2 times now, making sure it is clean, and have tried researching and adjusting WMR settings, Steam VR settings, and to no avail.... can't get past this issue. Very frustrating.....
  2. Well, after your post I went back in and when I enter a P-47 the first time, I did look and see that the gunsight rheostat is OFF. So, I did adjust as you mentioned, and it did illuminate. However, if I get out of that P-47 and then jump into a different slot, when I turn the GUN & CAMERA switch on, the gunsight is clearly visible. What is even more strange, when I looked down at the gunsight rheostat, it was in the same position as when I entered the first P-47, OFF, yet the gunsight is clearly visible. Well, thanks for replying. Adjusting the rheostat did resolve my issue. Just don't understand why why I only have to adjust it on the first P47 that I get in to at mission start, but every P-47 after that, I don't have to adjust the rheostat. Thank you!
  3. Well, the Huey door gunners seem to be firing again, but, the operator still just seems to sit there and do nothing. Every once and a while he may burst a few rounds but for the most part, he remains useless. I also noticed that instead of aiming at available targets right in front of him, he preferred to aim off to the side at ???? I have no idea what. Well, at least the door gunners work AGAIN, for now........ (OB build 2.5.6.55363)
  4. Am I the only person that has the problem of the gunsight not being visible when you enter into the P47 the first time in multiplayer? I flip the switch to GUNS & CAMERA, no gunsight. If I go back to spectators and then switch back to the same P47 or any other P47, the gunsight works fine. Anyone else having this issue? It's been like this for me ever since the release of the P47.
  5. I seem to be missing some textures in the P-51D-30. I tried to run a repair but the textures are still missing. I don't recall seeing this before today. One missing texture seems to be on the back of the mirror. The other missing texture is on a hose or wire up on the dash panel. Is this just my install or is it in fact missing? **** Disregard, Uninstalled the P-51 module and re-installed it. Everything looks fine now. Thanks @CaptainPickguard
  6. I have the WWII Assets pack, but I can't seem to find the QF 3.7-inch AA gun anywhere. Was it not part of the WWII Assets pack??? It's listed as being part of the asset pack. What's going on?
  7. I've been searching the internet for the past two days, trying to find information about where British AA batteries were located. It's been a grind for sure as I can only seem to find bits and pieces of information on this. Does anyone know of a good resource for this type of information? I found some great resources on the locations of V1 sites, which was extremely helpful, but trying to find info on AA gun batteries has not been as easy. My goal is to create a map template that is as close to where things were really located as I can get. If anyone has any ideas, please share. Thanks.
  8. Well, one workaround may be to spawn an initial group, get an average on how much time it takes for them to run out of ammo, then use a scheduler to destroy the initial group you spawned and replace them with a new group in the same positions. It's all smoke and mirrors...... Sometimes it's easier to create an illusion of something happening in DCS than it is to actually use the mechanics we have available to us.
  9. agree.... horrible to play in VR, nothing but heavy white haze not matter what settings I try.
  10. I have also seen the same issues described on my groups server as well. Multiplayer server. Not Dedicated server though. CTLD will lase and smoke a target but the smoke is several feet behind the actual unit. If using Mavericks that are only using laser codes, the mavericks are hitting the same location as the JTAC smoke and not the actual unit.
  11. Very well done but I'm having an issue with the toe brakes not working when I assign Left wheel brake to my left rudder pedals toe brake and Right Wheel brake to my right rudder pedals toe brake but the brakes don't seem to work. The only way I can get the brakes to work is to use W on the keyboard. I'm using the latest OB release 2.5.6.49798. Any thoughts what the issue might be? Thanks for this awesome C-130 though. Very cool.
  12. Agree completely, the Ka-50 cockpit looks absolutely AMAZING!!!! Great Job!
  13. I tried a night flight in VR with complete cloud cover at about 2300 hrs. The clouds were bright white and the ground was almost completely black. It was unflyable. When I tried to turn on the NVGs, the view was so oversaturated that it almost blinded me (HP Reverb). While I admit that the ground lighting and airport lighting does look beautiful, there seems to be some serious issues with how clouds are illuminated or how they are reflecting light. I never really had an issue in the prior versions using NVGs to fly in darkness but with the new OB, I can't see flying night missions in its current state.
