  1. On an off-topic note, this same training session saw my instructor take an Aim-9 to the face with no ill effects. lol
  2. I was pulling lead on a target, pulled the trigger, and my jet exploded. lol
  3. Just... HOW?? TRACK: https://www.dropbox.com/s/arvzn1dv5tk4tti/server-20180802-195231.trk?dl=0
  4. I might need to add some extra curve to my pitch axis, I think. Most of the time, the Viggen is pretty docile, but it seems exceptionally touchy on takeoff.
  5. I'm not sure the target circle is really that crucial on the RB-04 beyond range indications in the HUD. In most cases, provided the WP is "close enough," I'll just line the contacts up along the radar's centerline and fire. To my knowledge, there's no targeting data being delivered to the missile itself.
  6. I'm not sure, but the symbology may draw upon QFE like almost any other system on the Viggen. That could create problems when attacking targets at an unexpected elevation. Targets of opportunity in general aren't really the Viggen's strong suit, though.
  7. Awesome! I can never believe how smoothly some people manipulate the ingame camera!
  8. That's the Viggen, for you! Get in, slam your one, specifically-designated target and get out! lol
  9. The most jarring thing was that she transitioned to male after the first few tutorials. xD That said, I've had a similar problem on takeoffs. Namely, when I give slight back pressure to rotate, the Viggen LEAPS into the air and starts yelling at me for exceeding AOA. Correcting downward is almost always an over-correction that leads to touching back down again. I'll have to give the "hold the nose down and then relax pressure" technique a try.
  10. Note that (to my knowledge) the missiles don't talk to each other. The RB-04 basically homes in on whatever it detects ahead of it, and you have very little control over which radar contact it chooses. Granted, there are presets to try and encourage them to spread out, but it's always possible that they'll pick the same ship. If they miss completely, then something has probably gone wrong. Most likely, the ship has traveled outside of the missile's search cone. Really, the best way to make sure your missiles don't home in on the same ship is to launch, peel away, and then re-attack after the first target has been sunk.
  11. Can confirm. This happened to me as well.
  12. Assuming the replay doesn't just fire you into the ocean or taxi you into the grass, or roll over into a lazy death spiral for no reason whatsoever. :megalol: As someone who uses replays routinely for videos, they're so unreliable it hurts.
  13. I was going to say "Well it's a helicopter, so..." And then I saw the pic. Well done. xD
