  1. It looks like I may have to follow your lead and make my own also. :(
  2. Miles, I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full. Please add me to the list for both a Hall sensor kit for a Cougar Joystick and Throttle. Thanks
  3. Thanks Home Fries. The Dropbox mirror worked perfectly. BTW...This was only the second time that I have tried to download a file from Box and couldn't do it and it seems that I am not the only one that has this problem as a Google search displayed numerous folks that have the same problem with no solution readily available. :(
  4. Hi Home Fries, I was delighted to see that v1.50 was now available for download, but unfortunately I can't download it from Box. The Box download page says "We're sorry, but we can't preview .7z files" and neither of the download buttons seem to work. :( I looked in the BOX Knowledge Base Index and it seems that anyone assigned access to a file in Box as a previewer can't download the file and my guess is that I might have been assigned access as a previewer, but then my knowledge of and experience with Box is close to zero. :( Any ideas on how I might be able to get v1.50?
  5. Home Fries, Thanks for the update and I look forward to the upcoming release.
  6. Home Fries, Thanks for the status report and I'll be watching for when the update becomes available.
  7. Home Fries, How are you progressing on updating your outstanding project?
  8. Interesting discussion. My old VT ANG squadron will be the first ANG squadron to get the F-35A to replace their current F-16C Block 30+'s.
  9. I still have a couple copies of Pete's "Art of the Kill" book from back in my days of flying Falcon 3 and Falcon 4 that I refer to occasionally. That video brings back some very fond memories.
  10. I'm also interested in at least 1 complete set for both stick and throttle and maybe another if all goes as well as expected with the first.
  11. I've got v2.0.1 too, but with 3 different DCS World versions installed, it does get a little confusing at times. I probably should have scanned back through the posts further before posting. :smilewink:
  12. Oops! You guys are all salivating over the "DCS World 2.0.1 Now Available" statement in the latest DCS Newsletter. My bad!
  13. Hmmmm. I got a DCS Newsletter today stating that "DCS World 1.5.3 Now Available" so I opened DCS World Open Beta and it installed version 1.5.3.50487. Is that not the latest update or was I a version behind?
  14. Yes, I just installed it. :smilewink:
  15. Didn't work for me with Win7 Pro. :(
  16. For me 1.5.3 opens to the first UI screen, but nothing works from there, not even EXIT. I have to use Task Manager to end it. I tried to start it with Run.exe with the same result. I've tried to repair it several times, but no joy with that either. :(
  17. I just upgraded my DCS World Open Beta to version 1.5.3.50355 and now the opening UI screen is always locked up and I can't even exit. Not much of an upgrade! :helpsmilie: In order to get out of it I have to use Task Manager to end it. :smilewink: Fortunately my DCS World 1.5.2 Release and 2.0.1 Open Alpha seem to be working fine.
  18. Merry Christmas Everyone!
  19. I also get a DCS crash to the desktop if I crash the Hawk into the ground.
  20. I have a ThrustMaster Rudder Control System (RCS) for sale to someone in the continental USA. This TM RCS set of rudder pedals has Cubby Smith's Hall Sensor upgrade installed, so they are very smooth and will never suffer from pot spiking like the stock ones may do over time. The TM RCS was designed specifically to connect directly to a HOTAS Cougar and be calibrated directly with the Cougar Control Panel (CCP), so they work superbly in that configuration. Cosmetically I would rate them ~7-8 and functionally 10 on a 10 point scale. I am asking $100 US OBO and the buyer pays the shipping. Please PM me if you are interested. Below are some photos that I took of this TM RCS earlier today:
  21. Thanks Cali, One of my personal HOTAS Cougars has the Uber2NXT mod. Is that what yours has? If Ian Johnson decides to make another run of these, which he is seriously considering doing depending on how many purchase commitments he gets, it may devalue ours somewhat for a while, but they certainly should be worth more than the $350 to $500 that the stock ones in really good shape are currently selling for. Mike
  22. SOLD on 2-2-2014 I have an excellent ThrustMaster HOTAS Cougar for sale to someone in the continental USA. I have thoroughly tested and tuned it and was using it this morning when I took the photos below. I've adjusted the idle and afterburner detentes as well as the throttle rotation friction for nice, smooth performance. It has great pots, tight gimbals, good buttons/switches and now functions better than when it originally came out of the box. Cosmetically I would rate it ~8-9 on a 10 point scale. Functionally it is a 10 and works much better than most stock HOTAS Cougars. I will include with it a CD with all the latest ThrustMaster HOTAS Cougar firmware, software and manuals for both Windows 32 and 64 bit OS's as well as Dr. James "Nutty" Hallows' excellent New Users Guide. I am asking $350 US OBO and the buyer pays the shipping. Please PM me if you are interested. Below are the photos that I took this morning:
  23. I have 2 Samsung SyncMaster U70 7 inch LCD mini monitors for sale for $125 OBO plus shipping. These originally sold for $127 each. If you are interested please PM me. Here is a link to some advertising photos and the specifications for the U70's: http://www.reproductive-fitness.com/my/monitor-lcd-mini-samsung-u70.htm Below is a photo of them that I just took and a photo of them in use with my TM Cougar MFD's in my original DCS A-10C setup.
